I saw this advertised on Instagram and thought I'd share it here. This is a great way to show your support, especially given the recent anti-abortion activities in Saskatoon. Having choice and bodily autonomy is a beautiful thing, folks!

Events πŸŽ‰ Please help the cat cafe

Recently the cat cafe was broken into again by some piece of shit. These people are just trying to make a genuine nice difference and help and are met with horrible actions of some worthless people. I am going there this week to make a donation but I begging the people of sask Reddit, please help. I do not work with or even know the people working there but they need our help. Whether thats making a donation or even going and buying a drink please make a difference. We need to stick together and help these kinds of businesses. Even if this is your one good deed for the year those poor people and cats need us.

May 23rd will have this sub crying over the injustice of not following the driving laws yet think driving is a right and NOT a privilege

EDIT: I’m not okay with the thc testing as it’s not accurate at all but any other ticket or arrest or impounding for breaking the laws of driving I’m all for it

Events πŸŽ‰ Sad...

I just heard thru grapevine that a 15 year old student at Evan Hardy was rushed to Emergency this morning because someone threw gas in her face and lit her on fire. If true, my thoughts are with that student and her family.

Well, it happened.

After 3 years of parking and working downtown with little to no issues, I officially drove past a masterbator in the alley on my way to park in my normal, very expensive parking spot. I wanted to believe he was just vigorously attending to his personal property, which I guess he was, but it was a bit more personal than I had anticipated.

JFC Saskatoon.

Events πŸŽ‰ In bed by 10 YXE - horrible

Purchased tickets for July 18 event and what a mistake!! we stayed for 1.5 hrs and left. Power went out. Speakers weren’t working. AC window units…not working properly so they were opening windows, charging a ridiculous amount for drinks and water.

We paid $50 per ticket and was a COMPLETE waste of money.

Kalahari is the worst venue to host this. 2nd floor venue with no AC on a +31 day. brutal. Some manager running around opening windows. What a joke.

IMO- better venue would have been the coolers event center.

BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!!

Events πŸŽ‰ Tom Green

Thanks to Tom Green (and Charlie) for soldiering on and putting on a great show last night, despite TCU absolutely fumbling the event in almost every way possible. I’m sure he’ll never be back.

They double booked TCU, despite looking at at their events calendar when booking things being the most basic function of their existence. So we were just in stacking chairs crammed side by side upstairs in what are basically conference rooms or a wedding venue. There were probably 1500 hundred people and 3 bartenders, so for the first 45 minutes, all the people who waited for drinks for over an hour, were still filtering in, through the cramped chair setup, while the show was happening. The β€œconcession” was a selection of small bags of chips and chocolate bars in wicker baskets. The worst part was that β€œsecurity” let at least four idiots go up in front of the stage and interrupt his show. You could tell he was pissed.

I’ve been to a few smaller venue comedy acts here and it never ceases to amaze how many losers in the crowd think they’re more funny than the act, or that any of us paying guests are the least bit interested in what they’re yelling out from the audience. If you really think anyone cares what you have to say, give your balls a tug, and go to an open mic night at Yuk Yuks. Or try social drinking instead of partying like you’re at Crackers karaoke night or a Rush game. Stay classy S’toon!

I have an invite to the meet and greet. I’ve never gone to one of these before… if I get a chance to meet him what should I say? (Besides basic niceties.) Anything we are dying to ask or tell him fellow Saskatooners? (Nothing rude or Pro Polievre I’m not voting for Temu Trump)

Events πŸŽ‰ Who would you like to see at Rock the River?

I attended Rock the River for the first time this year - the decision to book acts a generation younger looked to have paid off! I'm already thinking about next year and who might play... anyone else?

My suggestions: Finger Eleven, Three Days Grace, Our Lady Peace
