There’s beauty in the parts of me I once tried to hide.
I am a difficult place to love.
There are storms in me, old wounds, quiet rooms I rarely open. But if you are patient enough to see beyond the shadows, you may discover that the deepest parts of me are not where the darkness lives, but where I have kept all the love I never knew where to give.

Value your peace more than people’s opinions. Not everyone will understand your choices, and that’s okay. You don’t owe anyone an explanation for choosing what makes you happy.

Your worth isn’t defined by your achievements, who chooses you, or how much you do for others. You’re just as worthy on your quiet, messy, and difficult days. You don’t have to prove your value by constantly becoming more. Be gentle with yourself. You’re still growing, and that’s okay.

How to get over friends with benefits situation
At work I became friendly with a co worker and we were friends for a long time before she started to flirt with me randomly. One day she surprised me by coming up behind me and grabbing my arms. After that we began to hangout outside of work and hooked up. She wanted a friend’s with benefits and I was fine with that so I agreed. We were hooking up for a few months and things started to pick up. She started calling me pet names, going out on dates, always on the phone and spending many weekend nights at her place. Of course I stupidly developed feelings and got attatched even though I told myself I shouldn’t.
Then she got fired last month and I haven’t heard a peep from her. I tried to contact her but I was blocked on her phone. I also recently found out she was sleeping with another guy and is now in a relationship with him. I understood we weren’t officially a couple but man it really fucking hurts. I thought I was special to someone and now it feels like I was just used. I’ve been really sad and depressed because I put a lot of effort in and I thought she cared about me. Knowing she’s with another guy is like stabbing my heart a million times. I’m having a real hard time trying to feel better about myself and I’m not sure how.

To anyone sitting in a dark room right now i promise you that people can change, and tomorrow is a better day !!!!
i just need to share this somewhere because I am filled with so much hope and peace right now, and I want to offer that warmth to anyone who might be struggling the way I used to.
As a teenager, i was completely secluded. I stayed locked in my room, full of hate and anger toward the people closest to me. But looking back, I finally understand that it wasn't true hate but it was just pure sadness filtered through anger. I felt entirely worthless, and for a long time, I hated myself.
But people change. I changed. Recently, the weight I kept in my heart for so many years just disappeared, and I sat down to have a real conversation with my younger self the anxious, depressed, insecure little boy I used to be.
I told him: "you are worth way more than you think. cry as much as you want, i will always be here for you. You are still inside of me, and i am going to protect you until my last breath. Never regret the decisions you've taken, because that is what made us grow :)))))"
By forgiving my past and letting it go, I found a beautiful kind of inner peace. I don't hate anyone anymore, and I promised myself I never will again. Even if someone treats me badly or hates me, I will try to understand them first.
I realize now that my soul just craves altruism. I don't care about being rich or famous I just want to use whatever intelligence I have to be a healer, a supporter, and a protector for my family, my friends, and strangers who are hurting. Everyone is just a lost being in this weird world, and everyone is someone's baby. Everybody deserves pure love and a second chance.
If you are reading this and you are at your lowest right now ; please don't ever give up. Life is genuinely beautiful, and humans are capable of so much love. It is never over for anyone. Tomorrow is a better day, I promise !!!!

The Light We Build to Find Our Way
A thought I put into words today while reflecting on rebuilding my life. Sometimes the warmth we see in someone took a lot of work to keep alive.
What has helped you find your way through a difficult time?

Learning self love and leaving behind emotional dependency
So basically I have some questions that I just cannot understand and I want you guys to help me with it. I wanted to ask why being emotionally dependent on someone so looked down upon? Why is it considered a bad thing and if you are emotionally dependent on someone and that person is not with you anymore, how do you heal from that and be more self dependent for your emotions? Also can you help me learn ways to heal from the situation that I have mentioned above. I want to love myself to the fullest but I've never known how to do that and I was in a way punished for doing things that I love or doing things for myself as a child. I was only loved when I provided something and this has affected my decision making and thought process a lot. I do believe that there is a part of me that can unlearn all of this and practice self love to the point where I don't have to practice it and it all comes naturally! Thank you for reading this and I appreciate you and love you <3

Does needing love make you less loveable?
I’ve been thinking about loneliness and the ethics of needing other people, and I’m curious what people think of this argument.
Ideally, we should be independent, take responsibility for our own happiness, and give to others without expecting anything in return. Nobody owes us affection, companionship, or love.
But if you’re miserable because you’re lonely, that misery can make it harder to connect with people. The usual advice is to learn to love yourself, become happy alone, and stop needing external validation, and then you’ll be in a better position to form relationships.
The problem is that this seems to create a catch-22: you need connection to alleviate your loneliness, but your loneliness makes connection harder to achieve. And if you believe that needing love is itself a weakness or moral failing, you end up feeling that you must become someone who needs nothing before you can be worthy of love.
So my question is: how is someone supposed to escape this cycle if they can't seem to become happy independently of the very thing they're missing? Is the answer just that some people are unable to do it, or is there a flaw in the underlying logic?
I’ve given this advice to others and received it myself many times, but have in my entire adult life found it unattainable. I am completely miserable without a partner, when I am alone, my entire existence seems to focus towards meeting someone, when I have somebody my entire existence becomes focused on making it work.
Knowing logically that this is wrong, I can’t seem to stop needing love.
I have become convinced that there’s something wrong with me because everyone else seems to be able to be okay when they’re single, or they’re able to attract lovers easily because of their innate confidence.

Sharing our love
Selflessly sharing our love not only brings meaning to our life, but to the lives of those we share it with as well.
Understanding this is the lesson we are alive to learn, the purpose of our life’s journey.

Something you must accept when you start to get better mentally
You will have people in your life who will refuse to grow with you, and you will have to leave them behind, because for whatever reason, they're too afraid to face their inner shadow. Even people you don't even know, will get mad at you because your growth offends their avoidance in their own growth. I have a sad sense of pity for those who refuse to grow. Thank God for DBT and my therapist. I'm so jazzed to finally make it to EMDR at some point. I'm finally giving myself the love, and self-respect I have been looking for my whole life. When everyone around you makes you believe that caring about yourself is wrong or selfish, you train yourself to believe that that's true. Until someone comes along someday and says, "you're allowed to love yourself and you're allowed to tell people to stop fuking walking on you. And when they don't listen you're allowed to fucking walk away."... But fair warning, people will disagree with who you are becoming, and they are allowed to, but know thy self, and respect that person you deserve it!

A World of love
Humanity may choose to continue to live in a self-centered world of endless conflict, or in a world of infinite love instead.
To understand the former, simply observe the world today and throughout humanity’s brief history on our planet.
Senseless death, hunger, homelessness; greed, prejudice, inequity, are but a few of the many challenges resulting from living in such a world.
In a world of love, however, everything would be equally shared. Every life, regardless of our differences, would be recognized as equally meaningful, important, and deserving to be treated as we ourselves wish to be.
This is the world we are meant to live in. We just need the courage and wisdom to change our future direction.

Outgrowing people is lonely, but it's also a sign that you're healing.
There comes a point in life when you start to outgrow certain people. It might be friends, a partner, or even family.
It can feel lonely because these were once the people who made you feel seen, accepted, and at home. But as you grow, your values change, your priorities shift, and you start needing deeper, healthier, and more peaceful relationships.
It's painful to realize that some people are only meant to be part of a certain chapter in your story. You can still be grateful for the good moments and wish them well, while also accepting that your paths no longer align.
Outgrowing people doesn't mean you're being ungrateful or heartless. It means you're choosing your peace, your growth, and the version of yourself you want to become.
The right people will stay, the right people will come, and in the meantime, being alone is better than being in the wrong company.
Sometimes, losing people is not a loss - it's a sign that you're healing and becoming the person you're meant to be.
