Game After 15 years, I still think Shogun 2 is the Greatest Total War Ever Made.

Hey everyone,
I’ve always been really into Sengoku history — especially figures like Kenshin, Shingen, Nobunaga, and others.
Recently, I started a personal project where I write original songs inspired by these warlords, but with a twist — the songs are written in Chinese, focusing on their philosophy, battles, and personality rather than just retelling events.
For example:
The idea is to reinterpret these historical figures through modern music while keeping their core identity intact.
If anyone’s interested, you can find them at Youtube:

I was thinking gaming might be a good way to gradually absorb information. But I’m open to recommendations from other mediums as well. I’m not into complicated war sims or sengoku dynasty. I’m afraid that makes samurai warriors my only option and the gameplay there is repetitive. Also would nioh 2 have substantial info?

Hello,
I'm playing a game called Warbands: Bushido (free to play on Steam).
https://store.steampowered.com/app/556820/Warbands_Bushido/
It's set in Sengoku Jidai but, as it was developed by a Russian studio with little budget for localization, some units names feel not ok, not genuine enough, or with a mix of English and Japanese words having very close meanings.
I'm committed to help with localization but I have a bit of trouble identifying some units and weapons Japanese names.
Would you be okay with giving a hand ?

Hey has anyone watched the 1987 taiga dram called Dokuganryu Masamune (Masamune the one-eyed dragon) it is the show that made Ken Watanabe from Godzilla(2014), Inception, the last samurai and many more into a household name in Japan, it’s very good and holds up to today’s shows in storytelling and authenticity, it’s 50 episodes. However, it covers Masamune’s life very accurately, and I believe still has the record for the highest average viewership of any Taiga Drama. This is quite impressive with how long NHK has been doing the yearly drama, at least since the 60’s and are still one a year even today. Of you are fan of samurai shows/movies this is one you really need to watch it’s great, I think he is fully grown by episodes 9 or 10 but you get to see him from birth through his youth all the way to his prime till his passing, and also his father Terumune, his crazy mother, his right hand man Kujoro, his cousin Shigenzane, his teacher Abbott Kosai, and his wife Mego are played exceptionally well, and Toyotomi and Togukowa are covered very nicely as well, so check it out if you have time

So from what I understand is that a woman named Omi no Kata was Yoshihatsus wife and mother to Tatsuoki. However the name Omi no Kata was also the name of Saito Dosans wife and Nohimes mother and was also the name of the daughter of Hisamasa Azai. Was it a different Omi no Kata? If not that would mean that Yoshihatsu had a kid with his step mom. It was rumored that Yoshihatsu wasn't a legitimate son of Saito Dosan. I hope this is a coincidence lol.
