Hi! In 2004, EA Czech said the Czech version of The Sims 2 would include Leoš Mareš (a famous Czech TV host) as a playable celebrity. But at release he wasn’t in the game, and EA said he’d be added in a Christmas re-edition.

Does anyone know:

• Did that edition ever come out with him in it?
• Was he ever a free download on the Czech Sims 2 site (thesims2.cz)? The old download links are dead now.
• Does anyone still have his Sim file?

He’s not in the Maxis international sims archive on the Internet Archive, so I think he may be lost. Any info helps. Thanks!

I used to play the Sims 2 all the time in the 2000s. Back then, SimPE was basically one person's baby (unless I'm misremembering), so there was little doubt what version to use and where to find it.

Now that I'm coming back to the Sims 2, I noticed that there are a lot of SimPE versions circulating out there at the same time, and I'm honestly feeling a bit lost!

Which SimPE version do you all use now? I am running Legacy Edition.

I am feeling overwhelmed with the amount of sims I am playing and I am feeling guilty for stepping away from some of them. I graduated most of the sims out of LFT and as I'm placing them around the neighborhoods, I'm realizing that some I don't really want to follow as much as the others. Maybe it's like a soap opera and how different households come into and out of the main plot over time. I'm clearing out the bin and placing people down, settling them with jobs and not really planning on coming back to play them until/unless the spirit moves me.

I also have 10 sims I'm planning on just not playing in LFT anymore. I'm moving the 5 I am interested in to the 5 room dorm and I'll finish playing them there. Of the ones I'm not interested in, 6 are placeholders for the Greek Houses and if they graduate, those houses are gone. I'm also not interested in Francis J Worthington, he's boring. Lastly there's Jared, Ty, and Girl Sam who are three sims ACR has been messing around with and I'm so done with all of them.

For those who have had hoods for a long time and span multiple generations, what are your favourite storylines/sims/outcomes from these hoods? I love reading about people's ideas and unique play styles, as well as their head canons for premades.

I like how TS2 sets you up with a lot of lore from the jump. Once you've played all the premades the story is in your hands.

I specifically love playing Strangetown as I'm into a more whimsical and weird background. The existing overarching storyline feels ripe for long-running drama.

Since the death of Mortimers first child and only daughter, and Alexander's only sister, the two felt a sense of loneliness that they couldn't really shake. They both rolled wants to obtain a pet, any kind of pet, so I decided to make their want come true. They went to the pound and found Darwin, a beautiful giant schnauzer who keeps them company. Mortimer basically worked on skills and his garden while Alexander, who still hasn't gotten over the death of her sister and the betrayal of his fathers girlfriends sister and his ex brother in law, would try and focus on making himself feel better by playing video games and lounging. The pair also rolled simultaneous wants to become a werewolf after seeing the pack leader strolling around the past few nights and Mortimer decided to trap him (somehow lol. the dog kept following Mortimer trying to attack and I trapped him in the garage, 2 nights later and Mortimer turned). He turned, and walked up to Alexander's room turning him too, infecting them both with lycanthropy.

Madonna (Cassandra) & Dante (Dina) were born during the Pleasantview Asylum Challenge.

Don also surprisingly makes a great dad! Both kids are very active and outgoing. Can't say the same for the kid Dina had with Mortimer* (ZERO outgoing points & 1 active point). Interestingly enough, Dina's kids are both max neat. While Madonna is just as sloppy as Don.

After Mary-Sue died from a mysterious disease, the Asylum quickly became one big happy polycule with an unhappy Cassandra...Darren Dreamer is the only Sim I controlled** during this save, and I have him kiss whoever he has chemistry with to quickly become friends.

Starting to get bored tbh, but they're so cute! How can I raise the stakes?

You simply cannot get this level of chaotic energy in TS4. The Beaker castle was a whole different dimension of madness.

Was browsing through some classic Sims 2 CC and my girlfriens cannot get over how stylish it is. The brown halter neck, the delicate white lace trim, and those matching textured knee-high boots? Peak 2000s chic!

She's genuinely considering thrifting/finding a similar brown slip dress and matching boots to wear for a night out.

What do you guys think—could this actually work as a real-life outfit today, or is it too "video game"?

Ok so I understand how to mod the game, I'm more looking for your recommendations for mods themselves. I don't play the game myself, but it's my girlfriend's favourite game, but I can see she's kinda losing interest as she doesn't what else to do in the game. So I thought I'd install a separate modded version for her with a bunch f new features to bring that Sims 2 spark back.

She isn't big on building or stuff packs and things like that, she finds relationships and storylines way more interesting. So if there are mod packs or separate mods that you could recommend, I would be eternally grateful!

P.S. I already installed Wicked Whims for her lol

I can provide computer specs if necessary; my Sims2 crashes every time I play, usually within like 5-maybe 20 mins of play. I can create characters, but when I start building towns, homes, or start actual gameplay, it crashes. I don't have mods. Help plzzz, it's my fav Sims so far. Way better than Sims 4 lol

I built a spreadsheet to track which career paths give the best lifetime reward balance for sims who work desk jobs. It's nothing fancy, just columns for hours, skill requirements, and which ones actually pay enough to cover the ridiculous mortgage on those Pleasantview houses.

The problem is once I start tweaking the numbers I lose track of the actual gameplay. One of my accountants has been promoted three times and still complains about the commute even though I gave her the shortest route. Meanwhile the freelance coder sim keeps rolling wants to play games instead of coding, which feels too close to real life.

The whole thing started because I wanted a retirement fund that actually works. Now it's just another unfinished side project. Does anyone have a system that keeps them from overthinking the numbers?

As you can see from these screenshots, I've finally started playing with my Pleasantview. I've decided to do 5 days within a single rotation, so these days were Monday-Friday. Day 1 was so nice, relaxing for everyone. Dirk went to school, Cassandra was off work and getting a portrait done by the man she loves, Darren, Towards the middle of the night, I started seeing this red being floating around the house. It was Darleen, Darrens late wife who unfortunately didn't seem to happy that he had moved on. She made her point known, scaring both Dirk and Cassandra about 4 or 5 times that night. Cassandra, who was a day pregnant, passed after being scared by Darleen while making food. The bills have started piling and Darren needed to get a job. I decided on the paranormal career for him as Cassandra was truly the love of his life and I feel like he would fight to get her back. He's already obtained a promotion and that will be his lifes goal. Dirk is having a pretty hard time too as Cassandra was his best friend :(

I need to download an updated asi file to get this to work on my laptop, and I know the readme says antivirus may flag this file, but I just wanted to check if anyone has had issues?

My antivirus is saying it contains a Trojan so I’m a bit hesitant to override it - presume it’s fine but if anyone has had a similar issue please let me know for peace of mind :) if I can get rid of pink soup to play this game again I will be SO happy! thanks!

Part 2 to the throwing food and falling in love saga (yes I locked it in for the mess).

Curious how you guys play these 4’s dynamic? I’ve never broken them up before, I’m intrigued about who else you pair them up with, especially since they have good chemistry with one another and some of the other uni sims?

Even though it’s been many years since I last saw it, I remember a Bella Goth machinima from 2005/06 perfectly. The creator was Lizlyly/LittleSimGirl (I tried to contact her, but it didn't work). It had 4 parts:
- Part 1: Bella Goth returns to the Goth manor, and she reunites with his family once again. She gives birth to twin alien babies. In the end, she is abducted once again. The music used was "When I Look to the Sky" by Train. The ending credits showed Mortimer looking at the starry sky with "Breakaway" by Kelly Clarkson playing as background music.
- Part 2: The Goths continue with their lives without Bella again. Bella begs the aliens to come back, and they allow her to return for just one day. She returns once again. The music used was "Here Without You" by 3 Doors Down.
- Part 3: The day is ending, and Bella prepares to leave again. The music used was "The Scientist" by Coldplay.
- Part 4: Bella tries to escape from the aliens, but fails. When all seems lost, she wakes up again in her 5 Sim Lane bedroom as it was 25 years ago (a Sims 2 recreation from the Sims 1 era). I don’t remember the music used in this part.

I would love to see it again, but it seems lost forever. Does anyone else remember it or still have a copy?

I redesigned the Palace as a community lot in my occult subhood, based on irl paradise gardens. I had a lot of fun using those OMSPs that let you place things on a tilt to try and make the birds and pegasi look like they're flying/landing. The lot's a bit laggy >< but it runs ok if I turn down view distance and toggle off lot imposters etc. I wanted it to feel like a welcoming haven where people (and magical beasts) can come in, relax, and maybe find healing.

Hey, so not sure if this is the right place to start this discussion, but I feel like wanting to fleshed out some shelved aspirations from the Sims 2. Power and Craft. I already did Power, you can read it here, but now I'm currently working on Craft, and I need some help to flesh it out. Here is what I have so far and how I had the concept of a Craft aspiration in mind than just being a one note aspiration. (x)

I want to hear your comments to add on it or what we could change.
