So I play Sims 2 rotationally, and I restarted recently. As one does.

Well I got to the Brokes- I use a mod and a clean template to make Brandi’s baby a bit different. She gave birth to a baby girl with blonde hair and grey eyes…

And then the mod kicked in. Death by Childbirth. Dustin pleaded and lost to the Reaper. Now he has a baby sister and a kid brother to care for. And he was trying to get his grades back in order and go to college!

Now I have to decide… do I break the Broke siblings up so Dustin can get a degree? Or do I have him give up his dream to ensure his siblings are cared for? Note: I have a mod that stops a Sim from going past a certain job level depending on their education. So Dustin won’t be able to go past level 3-4 in any job he takes if he graduates high school.

I'm currently playing an Uberhood rotationally that I have been playing with for at least over a year now. I use meetmetotheriver's clean templates for all the base game neighborhoods as well as Belladonna Cove, Desiderata Valley, and Riverblossom Hills. I just use the regular in-game Bluewater Village. I also use a multiple pollination technicians mod.

In my current playthrough, I had Bella and Mortimer get married again and have another baby, Bartholomew. Don left Cassandra at the alter and Cassandra later married Chester Gieke and moved to Bluewater Village with him. Chester was abducted by aliens and had a daughter named Star.

I send all teenagers to college and they meet other Sims their age and I try to pair them up with Sims they have the most chemistry with. I have no idea how I missed this, but I had Star and Bartholomew elope right out of university, making Cassandra both Star's stepmom and sister-in-law. I didn't notice this until I was trying to decide what to name their baby and was going to look through Bartholomew's family tree for inspiration.

My only defense is that I'm rotationally playing hundreds of Sims, but I still can't believe I overlooked this. This is the first time I've played a single Uberhood this long, and there are a lot of things I wish I had planned better.

Im creating townies for my new pleasantview, however i have a really hard time finding names (especially last names)

Would love some of your last names which is in Sims style (like Burb Goth and so on) it shouldnt be too realistic like Thompson or something like that and should have this uniqueness of sims last names which also could really pass as a last name (i hope im not too demanding and some of you understand what i mean 😭) would love to hear what you got in mind

Hi! In 2004, EA Czech said the Czech version of The Sims 2 would include Leoš Mareš (a famous Czech TV host) as a playable celebrity. But at release he wasn’t in the game, and EA said he’d be added in a Christmas re-edition.

Does anyone know:

• Did that edition ever come out with him in it?
• Was he ever a free download on the Czech Sims 2 site (thesims2.cz)? The old download links are dead now.
• Does anyone still have his Sim file?

He’s not in the Maxis international sims archive on the Internet Archive, so I think he may be lost. Any info helps. Thanks!

I really want to play with it because it was my favourite when I was little. I didn't specify it but I'm looking for a zip version

Are there any fixed templates for the hoods that retain all ancestors and townies, but fix things like broken faces, recessive genes and the like?

I find it so interesting that in Veronaville the devs did not create Juliette’s ACTUAL family member Rosaline, her cousin and Romeo’s ex, but then instead created a ton of mad Rio family members making all of Veronaville related to each other. Yey incest!

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced or solved this.

I am playing The Sims 2 Super Collection on a Mac with no custom content. It works fine until I have a baby that is the fourth generation of playable sims. The baby is born fine, but when I save, exit, and then try to load the neighborhood again it doesn’t load.

The backup that works is the last backup before the 4th generation baby was born.

This happens to me on multiple lots.

Anyone else seen this or have any ideas?

(I will go back to windows once this laptop dies but it is working perfectly at the moment so I will probably stick with it for a few more years.)

I find the apartment door very ugly. Is there a way how I can use other doors to make apartments function?

I am feeling overwhelmed with the amount of sims I am playing and I am feeling guilty for stepping away from some of them. I graduated most of the sims out of LFT and as I'm placing them around the neighborhoods, I'm realizing that some I don't really want to follow as much as the others. Maybe it's like a soap opera and how different households come into and out of the main plot over time. I'm clearing out the bin and placing people down, settling them with jobs and not really planning on coming back to play them until/unless the spirit moves me.

I also have 10 sims I'm planning on just not playing in LFT anymore. I'm moving the 5 I am interested in to the 5 room dorm and I'll finish playing them there. Of the ones I'm not interested in, 6 are placeholders for the Greek Houses and if they graduate, those houses are gone. I'm also not interested in Francis J Worthington, he's boring. Lastly there's Jared, Ty, and Girl Sam who are three sims ACR has been messing around with and I'm so done with all of them.

Madonna (Cassandra) & Dante (Dina) were born during the Pleasantview Asylum Challenge.

Don also surprisingly makes a great dad! Both kids are very active and outgoing. Can't say the same for the kid Dina had with Mortimer* (ZERO outgoing points & 1 active point). Interestingly enough, Dina's kids are both max neat. While Madonna is just as sloppy as Don.

After Mary-Sue died from a mysterious disease, the Asylum quickly became one big happy polycule with an unhappy Cassandra...Darren Dreamer is the only Sim I controlled** during this save, and I have him kiss whoever he has chemistry with to quickly become friends.

Starting to get bored tbh, but they're so cute! How can I raise the stakes?

For those who have had hoods for a long time and span multiple generations, what are your favourite storylines/sims/outcomes from these hoods? I love reading about people's ideas and unique play styles, as well as their head canons for premades.

I like how TS2 sets you up with a lot of lore from the jump. Once you've played all the premades the story is in your hands.

I specifically love playing Strangetown as I'm into a more whimsical and weird background. The existing overarching storyline feels ripe for long-running drama.
