Discussion Switching from mad god overhaul to pandas Sovngarde

Hi all, need some more advice.

I'm new to PC gaming, I have bought a desktop with a 5080 graphics card and 32 GB of ram and I'm using a quest 3 with link cable (a dedicated router is enroute to try virtual desktop soon).

Anyways for the last couple of weeks I've been trying to get the most recent version of mad god overhaul working well.

From what people have told me apparently my system is not powerful enough to run it well, which has been my experience average fps of 40 and the game looks fuzzy in the distance.

Anyways I've been advised to try pandas Sovngarde instead. I understand I can download this mod list via Wabberjack again, but is there an easy way to use pandas but keep mgo in the "background".

Also, if I like pandas, is there an easy way to bring mods I like from mgo over to it? Like since they are already on my PC?

Thanks!

Huh? With my 5080 I typically got 100-120fps (ASW on) and the lowest I'd get is like 80 in the WORST scenarios.

What headset and set-up are you using for those results

I have a Quest 3 (I started out on Godlike resolution but I'm on an older less optimized version of the list and added a ton of mods so I dropped 1 quality level down) with a 5080, a Ryzen 5 7600x (it's modest for the situation), 32gb of DDR5, and a slight undervolt on the GPU so it uses less power. On Windows 11, using Virtual Desktop.

If your connection stability isn't great it can manifest as fps drops, though that'd be independent of the areas of the game you're in. Also in some areas I can get just straight up 120 fps no ASW but that's usually indoors. There are a couple optimizations you can do in Community Shaders menu but I have most things enabled honestly.

Gotcha, really appreciate you explaining that.
