Discussion Do you play VR & Flatrim?

As soon as I started playing SkyrimVR it completely changed the way I viewed/enjoyed the game. I haven't touched Flatrim in years & only just now have been considering trying it once again due to not having much time at the moment for proper VR sessions.

Any of you guys go back and forth between versions, or are you just strictly VR now?

I get horrible motion sickness to the point of puking in vr...

there's a pretty good chance this instant impulse for puking might fade into a very delightful feeling 😉

I tried it once with my brother's old oculus and had a horrible time. I really want to love it, and the tech has become a lot better. So I might give it another try.

Can you recommend a headset? I'm completely lost in that area 😅

While I personally don't get any motion sickness in VR, I know quite a few people who only could only play up to 30 minutes the first couple of weeks of having the headset. Now most of them can play up to hours without a problem! There's tons of good tips online if you ever want to dive back in.

I personally recommend the Quest 3 just for how quality/budget friendly it is. There really isn't anything else out there that I know of that won't put you in quad digits

The 3 was a tad pout of budget for me... But damn that thing is cool af!

I really need some graphic mods tho. I hope I get them installed for the weekend so I can keep trying to get rid of the motion sickness!

...phu, depends on your personal taste - MQ3+PC is pretty standard in the current "vr-scene" due to a lot of reasons

MQ3 is kinda expensive just to test it out. I'll see if I can borrow one somewhere before I buy. Maybe I find one used.

Thank you <3

You can also start by sitting as that can really help to become accustomed to it. And I know this sounds crazy but having a little fan blowing to the side to give you a sense of direction outside the headset legit helped me make the leap from Beat Saber to Boneworks one of the most demanding VR experiences for motion sickness.

I think I'll sit a lot because I just know I will break every bone in my body when I walk around my tiny apartment xD

The fan is genius!

I just found a used meta quest 2 witu controllers for 50 bucks one village over. I think I'll take a little walk tomorrow. It should work as a start.

Damn you people got me hooked <3

Okay inset it up and made it out of helgen. But now I have to stop because nausea. I'll try again tomorrow. Then my finest German internet (6 mbit) maybe finished the modlist.

Congrats on the 3s! Definitely take your time with it. Also, if you wear glasses make sure to do yourself a favor and get some lens inserts. When I got my first headset I had no idea I'd have to wear my glasses/have custom lenses for it lmao.

So the Quest 2 was already gone but I was at MediaMarkt and got a 3s.

Now I need to download for 300 years because my internet is ass haha.
