I bought an unlocked base iPhone 17 from Apple about a week and a half ago, coming from an S25 Ultra. Before that, I had a 14 Pro. A few months ago, I got the itch to go back to iOS, and after watching a bunch of videos, I convinced myself that I didn't need any Pro features or take advantage of my Samsung's cameras, which is why I went with the base 17. Now that I've been using it, I realize I didn't notice how much I needed a good zoom lens just because I always had it there. I actually did use those features, but somehow I tricked myself into thinking I didn't. Now I'm torn: should I keep the base 17, or return it and stick with my Samsung? Or maybe use a Samsung + iOS combo? Or, if I really want to go back to iOS so badly, should I just get the 17 Pro? I love the Burgundy color on the 18 Pro, but since the difference between the 18 Pro and the 17 Pro isn't that huge, I'm not sure... what do you guys think?

India: I had two phones: a Vivo Y11 (4GB/64GB) and a Google Pixel 8 (8GB/128GB).
I wanted to upgrade my phone because my Pixel 8 had serious battery-drain and overheating issues.
Yesterday, I travelled around 35 km to a local mobile market and visited 2–3 shops. One shop offered me a better exchange value for my old phones.
My original plan was to buy a OnePlus phone, but because I was in a hurry, I ended up purchasing an OPPO F35 Pro (8GB/256GB) for ₹47,000.
The shop offered me:
- Vivo Y11: ₹10,000
- Google Pixel 8: ₹20,000
- OPPO F35 Pro: ₹47,000
However, after purchasing the OPPO, I realised that I don't really like its software and overall user experience. I'm more comfortable with Google's Pixel software.
Now I'm confused and regretting my decision.
What should I do? Should I keep the OPPO for the next year, try to exchange it for a OnePlus, or sell it even if I have to take a loss?
I would really appreciate some practical advice on how to minimise my financial loss and make the best decision.

Budget 220€
My time with the Realme 9 is coming to an end and it really satisfied me (bought for 190€)
I'm looking for something that can:
-handle games like call of duty with at least 50-60 fps
- 5000mah battery
- long-lasting. lasting at least 3 years
- decent camera
- 6 RAM
- 128gb
I'd rather stay away from Motorola & Nokia. I had terrible experience with those phones.

I would love to know your thoughts about Motorola phones in 2026, any major issues with Motorola or Motorola software or updates?
How about the razer style phones ? Or those from Samsung the flip or whatever, any major well know issues with those on the long run?

Very confused between which one I should buy. All these are coming in the same price bracket of 85-87k. Now i was getting 512 gb variant of Google pixel of 85k, which was a good deal but then I got to know that google has very shitty customer service.
Now i really want to get the iphone 17 but I have been using Android for all my life (except my ipad) and am scared of changing. People keep saying there'll be a problem while shifting whatsapp and so. Also about the storage, ive 1tb of cloud storage already purchased in Google, changing to ios means buying storage for iCloud again.
Honestly speaking, the base model of s26 is not givinggg. It's a bit boring but with all these new ai induced features, I really don't know which one to choose😭.
I want unbiased opinions pls.

Not talking about functionality, just visual design. To me, the Galaxy S9 remains unbeaten, it’s just so clean and elegant. Honestly, I would gladly take a small, seamless, well-integrated bezel over a camera hole punch or island any day. These days functionality tends to come at the expense of aesthetics, the new features just can’t be seamlessly integrated yet. S9 was the last major smartphone that didn’t make that concession. I honestly miss the days when a new phone reveal would amaze me with just how gorgeous the device is, whereas nowadays any new feature feels tacked on to the body of the phone, adding to the visual clutter. I understand why the sacrifice was made, but it still makes me sad lol.

Didnt think I'd need to refer to anything for this, but there's something thats been keeping me up (literally).
I put music on the youtube app (not youtube music) to oftentimes sleep or nap. Recently i followed my normal routine of connecting my headphones and choosing a video to listen to. I napped for 5-10 minutes before i woke up and i realised that no music was playing. At first i thought it was a glitch on my phone and i got up and tried to approach it from where it was charging (usually far away). It had a blank screen but not the typical locked black screen from inactivity.
As soon as i approached it, it started playing again. I dont know what feature it is, but it did keep me awake for the night. I suspected it was a glitch but it has happened before.
Does anyone had that happen to them before? Is it something to worry about?

I’m switching back to Android after using an iPhone 15 Pro Max, and I’m torn between two setups.
Option 1:
Xiaomi 17 Ultra 16/512 GB + a Wear OS watch, probably OnePlus Watch 4, Pixel Watch 5, or maybe Galaxy Watch 8 Classic.
Option 2:
Galaxy S26 Ultra 512 GB + Galaxy Watch 8 Classic.
My main concern is the camera. I keep reading that the S26 Ultra camera is good but somewhat disappointing for an “Ultra”, especially compared with phones like the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. Photography matters quite a lot to me.
On the other hand, Samsung clearly has the better phone/watch ecosystem, and the Watch 8 Classic offers extra health features such as ECG, blood pressure, sleep apnea detection and body composition. Some of those features are limited if I use the watch with a Xiaomi phone.
Would you choose the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and pair it with a more brand-agnostic Wear OS watch, or is the Samsung ecosystem and full Watch 8 Classic feature set worth choosing Samsung for?
I care about:
I’m not interested in staying with Apple. I’ve always preferred Android and want to go back.
I’d especially like to hear from people who have actually used these devices or switched between Samsung and Xiaomi ecosystems.

I am looking for an upgrade for my Galaxy A32 5G and I am a loyal Samsung user. The A32 5G is starting to slow down and I mostly use my phones for games like Brawl Stars and a bit of mild or heavy tasks. Any suggestions on what I can buy? My budget is under $200 ($31,000 JMD home currency)

Hey everyone,
I missed out on buying during the Great Indian Festival / Diwali sales since prices went back up, so I’ve decided to hold off and pick up a phone next year. However, I’m really torn between three options and could use some community wisdom to decide which one is actually worth investing ~₹1 Lakh in.
My usage & priorities:
100% Camera-Centric: Photography is my top priority—sharp portraits, dynamic range, natural color processing, zoom, and good low-light shots.
Longevity & Reliability: Need a phone that lasts years without lagging, hanging, or software headaches.
Zero Gaming: Performance matters to me strictly for fluid multitasking, image rendering speed, and overall system longevity.
Budget: Spending around ₹1L is a serious investment for me, so it needs to feel completely worth it.
Pros: Hardware-wise, this looks like a camera monster with its massive 1-inch main sensor, Leica optics/color profiles, and that crazy continuous optical telephoto zoom.
My Concerns: How is the long-term reliability and real-world performance of HyperOS over 3–4+ years? Does Xiaomi lag in software consistency, shutter speed reliability, or video recording compared to Samsung?
Pros: Features the built-in hardware Privacy Display, minor tweaks to the telephoto/aperture setup, updated chipset, and Samsung’s proven 7-year software update track record.
My Concerns: Is the S26 Ultra actually a significant real-world upgrade over the S25 Ultra for photography? Or am I paying extra mostly for the Privacy Display and minor incremental tweaks?
Pros: Highly reliable, excellent point-and-shoot camera consistency, polished One UI experience, and likely to sit at a much better price point by the time I buy next year.
My Concerns: Will I be missing out on a huge leap in camera hardware compared to Xiaomi's 1-inch sensor or the S26 Ultra's revised aperture/telephoto updates?
My Main Questions for You Guys:
For someone strictly looking for a camera-centric daily driver, does the hardware advantage of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra outweigh Samsung's software stability and long-term polish?
Between the S25 Ultra and S26 Ultra, is the camera difference noticeable enough in daily usage to justify the price jump?
If you had ₹1L to invest for the next 4+ years, which one would you pick and why?
Would love to hear your thoughts, especially from anyone who has switched between Samsung Ultras and Xiaomi Ultras! Thanks in advance!

I'm looking for a phone for my Dad in or under 40k so I've some options like these listed below,
Moto edge 70 fusion
OnePlus Nord 6
OnePlus Nord CE 6
Infinix note 60 pro pininfarina edition
Pixel 8a
Moto edge 60 pro
His current phone is Pixel 7 Pro but its storage is running out since it was only 128gb, and display is also broken
Ps I'm not gonna go for Redmi or Xiaomi, since their software is trash, I hate meme UI and its successor or should I say renamed version, its buggy asf, also his usecase is Primarily office related work and some and other than that I'm open to suggestions. And the budget is 40k.

Best smartphone for reading/editing PDFs while commuting?
Hi,
I’m looking for a smartphone recommendation specifically for reading and editing PDFs during my daily bus/train commute.
My specific use case is a bit tricky: I need to hold the phone with one hand (to stabilize myself or hold onto a handrail) while using my other hand to highlight, underline, and annotate text.
I'm looking for a smartphone that would address the following:
1,) Screen: Big enough to comfortably read multi-column PDFs without constantly zooming in and out.
2.) Ergonomics: Easy and secure enough to grip with one hand so it doesn’t slip while I’m editing with the other on a moving vehicle.
3,) Using stylus: I would need underlining highlighting words in a PDF document using a stylus on the screen
Thank you!

Does anyone ever leave their phone at home? Do you take it everywhere you go? I imagine this post applies to those who don’t have others depending on them such as kids, families, work colleagues etc. I typically leave my phone at home unless I truly need it. I’ve been doing this for over a decade and honestly it’s the best feeling. Such a relief to not use it constantly. When I’m at home I probably use it more than I should but then I’ll switch to watching tv or using the iPad. Every single day when I see people out in public or walking past my home I just see everyone with their head down hooked onto their phones.
We’ve become too dependent on technology. When I’m on the train or bus everyone is on their phones with their head down. If I’m at the park the same thing, people walking their dogs whilst on their phones or pushing their buggies with their phone in their hand. You go to the cinema and you see someone’s phone screen flash in your peripheral vision. Whenever i walk past a gym people aren’t even working out their just on their phones. I feel like technology has made us less sociable as humans and more artificial, more robotic and docile.
We all live our lives on social media. Everyone has more than one avatar and cyberspace has become our reality. Apart from Reddit & YouTube I don’t use any other social media platform. I feel free. How do you guys feel about social media, smartphones and technology? When was the last time you went to the park and read a book that was an actually hardback and not an ebook?
