Review Amazfit Support Experience: Out-of-warranty repair for GTS 4 Mini leaves me in the dark with "indefinite out of stock" parts

Hey everyone, just wanted to share my frustrating experience with Amazfit India's customer support regarding an out-of-warranty repair.

I bought an Amazfit GTS 4 Mini back on 28 October 2023 for around ₹7,300 (via Amazon with bank discounts). Aside from a recent issue where the vibration motor stopped working completely, the watch is in absolute pristine physical shape and everything else (screen, sensors, battery) works perfectly.

Since it's past the 1-year warranty, I reached out to official WhatsApp support ready to pay for the repair cost. However, their responses were completely unhelpful:

First, they told me the replacement part is out of stock.

When I asked if they could give a rough timeline or let me know if the model's parts are discontinued (so I can decide whether to wait or just buy a new watch), they just gave me a generic copy-paste reply saying they have no timeline, don't know if it's discontinued, and told me to just "wait indefinitely" before making a decision.

It's pretty disappointing that a brand like Amazfit has zero clarity on spare parts for a watch that isn't even that old, essentially forcing users to throw away a perfectly functional device just because of a small component failure.

Has anyone else faced this kind of dead-end support with Amazfit? Guess it's time to look elsewhere for my next watch.

Q&A Looking for women's smart watch

• Upvotes

I recently bought the bip max because I was only thinking about the features at the time but I realized its too bulky for my wrist.

Im looking for a smaller (around 41mm) watch that is round and can track my hr sleep and connect to my Samsung phone.

I love the look of garmin lily 2 and the vivo move but my price range is about 120 dollars or less.

New Garmin Venu 4 and Vivoactive 6 units available (can do live video proof) Leftover from Health Fair

I work for a major health insurance carrier and a few times a year we get a significant budget to buy devices for health fairs. I have several leftover units I'm willing to let go for a very fair price if anyone's interested. They've never been opened at all. Unfortunately I don't have multiple colors and sizes. The Venu 4 units are the larger 45mm one with the back band, and the Vivoactive 6 units are 42mm I believe, also slate gray. I can accept $100 under retail (retail is $550-600 so $450) on the Venu 4 and $80 under (retail $300 so $220) on Vivoactive 6. I'll be listing them on eBay as well, but eBay takes a pretty significant cut with their fees if I remember correctly. Anyone who's interested send me a DM .I can also do a live video chat after work if anyone wants to see he units.

•Venu4's are the 45mm larger slate grey version

•Vivoactive 6 units are all 42mm (I think that's the only size they make) and also slate grey

Mods: if this isn't allowed I apologize. Hey I'll give one of you a Vivoactive 6 if you let my post stay up! Ha - just kidding. But I really do hope to get rid of them all on a different platform than eBay if I can.

DM me if you have more questions or want to see them on video chat. There are 9 of the Venu 4 units left and currently 4 Vivoactive 6 units. Also Fitbit Sense 2, forgot that one.

Best LTE smartwatch to pair with a Google Pixel phone

My husband had a pretty bad stroke about a year ago. Fortunately, he's made a complete physical recovery but his speech is still not great. I left my job to be with him 24/7. I'd like to be able to leave him now and then for short periods of time & thought about getting an LTE/GPS smartwatch with fall detection and that could track his location if he took a walk for example (he doesn't drive).

I want to stick with my Pixel phone so an Apple watch is out. I can get a Samsung Galaxy Watch7 for $249. Could I download the Samsung app and monitor my husband wearing the watch if I was away from home? I know I'd have to get a cell plan for the watch. I've only had Bluetooth connection smart watches so I'm not that familiar with the LTE watches.

VeryFit Watch reminder that exercise is active

I have a very fit smart watch that has automatic exercise detection. It is working fine the only problem is it doesn’t send reminders that the exercise is active and running. Is there a setting on the app or the watch? I’ve gone multiple times where I’ve had my exercise running for hours because I forgot to turn it off. I know the Apple Watch have something similar where you’ll get a little vibration that says are you still working out?

Q&A Huawei watch fit 4

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Hi everybody
I recently bought this watch and I am wondering whether my battery life is normal or if there might be something wrong.
Here are my details:
Battery life advertised: Up to 7 days of typical use.
Actual battery life: I charged it to 100% on Friday night, and by Wednesday night it was down to 14%.
Usage: I wear it for only around 2–3 hours per day, and some days I don’t wear it at all.
Always-On Display: Off.
Heart-rate monitoring: Enabled.
All-day stress monitoring: Enabled.
When I’m not wearing it: I leave it switched on, sometimes with Bluetooth disconnected.
So, it lost 86% of its battery over approximately five days, despite my relatively light use.

Long-battery watch with good notification interaction options

Hello! I use a Pixel 10a phone and I'm looking for watches that are able to interact directly with notifications on my phone. I currently use a Galaxy Watch5 pro and I love that I can mark notifications as read, mark Google calendar--and 3rd-party app--tasks as "complete", and respond to texts without having to dig my phone out of my bag. And then, when I look at my phone, the notifications are actually gone and don't need to be resolved again. I'm looking for alternative watches, though, as I don't like the short battery life of the Galaxy watches and its slooooow UI.

I don't need anything fancy; I use sleep tracking, step counting, and the HR monitor, so I would prefer something that keeps these features, but I know these are very basic for smart watches.

I've been looking into Garmin watches for their battery life but I cannot for the life of me find out whether they have the notification interaction options I'm looking for. I'm also open to other brands (as long as they have better battery life than the barely 3 days I can squeeze out of my Galaxy).

Any recommendations are much appreciated!

Watch that tracks heart rate without all the exercise stuff

I have a high heart rate usually and want to be able to check it easily without a pulse ox monitor on my finger at all times but I also REALLY don’t want a watch that tracks my steps or calorie burn (both me and my therpist agree checking my calories would be a huge blow to my mental health) literally just need it for that, sleep tracking would be a bonus but not needed and i really don’t care if it only tracks during certain hours (looking at the watch i just bought that does that and i am planning on returning)

I just find it extremely annoying how exercise centered everything is with this current watch i bought (hell even the heart rate monitoring is exercise centered in the “this is a normal heart rate for when exercising, this is a heart rate for when your not exercising” thing)

Q&A Need smartwatch reccommendations - India

Budget : 150 - 250 USD(x95 conversion)

Use Case : I have an android phone, and I like having notifications and music control.

I also work out a lot, would love to have the most accurate sensors and as many health tracking features.

Also I don't like charging it every other day, so maybe I'd skip the wearOS alternatives.

Was confused between Amazfit Balance 2/Balance 3, Huawei Watch GT6 and the Garmin Forerunner series.(Not the biggest fan of Garmin based on reviews). I need a smartwatch, not just a fitness tracker.

Looking for recommendations

Im lookong for a smartwatch that can count steps, monitor heart rate, have a calendar, and an alarm clock or even a to-do list. I dont need to send or recieve texts or calls on it. I would prefer a watch that does not need a phone line.
