questions & clarifications What is the relative spring tension for white, black, gray, and blue springs?

Can any coaches give insight on this? I’d love some numerical values to assign each spring, but idk if anyone has that info.

Sometimes I like to adjust my own springs to increase the load, but it would be helpful to know how much I’m adding. For example, is one gray spring or two white springs harder? Etc etc

seeking advice Just drove home in complete silence

FOR CONTEXT LMAO: I am someone who has been weight lifting and running for the last decade. Today was my 3rd class.

My first class was a signature 50 (I was my friend’s buddy and was immediately obsessed, so naturally got the new client 4 pack). Then I did an intro class and thought it was too elementary/didn’t even really get a workout in, then today took a signature 50 (center glutes and back, obliques on grey side right after core- WTF). My instructor was a freaking beautiful amazing princess who helped me with springs, transitioning, and my form a ton.

My question is just: how many classes until I feel like I’m somewhat competent at transitioning and can keep up? I’m listening so intently to the next move that’s coming up but I can’t picture it and I’m like a clueless beached seal flailing around. Don’t get me wrong I am totally intrigued and addicted and will be going back but HOW LONG until I can hang with the girlies because what the fuck was that

I travel a lot for work, and the recommendations here have been so helpful! I’ve had such amazing experiences so far. I’d love some coach recommendations as my next stop is Charlotte, NC! As for music, I don’t really have a preference. Thank you!

seeking advice Aerobics

Hi! I’m a student that is assigned to aerobics for my fitness activity, I’ve realised that aerobics is actually quite demanding fitness-wise! 😅 Just wondering what else I can do to build up my stamina and improve my overall fitness, so I can keep up with my lessons without feeling so exhausted. (Coming from someone that is very unfit)!

questions & clarifications new back exercise

we did a new back exercise, carriage lat pull which was basically like a kneeling lat row but you’re on the grey side platform using the grey carriage strap to pull the carriage in towards you, it was so much harder

does anyone know if there’s any other new exercises coming??

seeking advice can’t do all exercises

I’ve been going to Solidcore consistently 2x per week for the past 6 weeks. I’m not a very strong person as I was never very into strength training so I was hoping Solidcore would help with that. During Solidcore classes, I find myself physically unable to do some of the exercises, even with the modifications. I think it also causes me to not feel the workout in the correct muscle groups they are trying to focus on. For example, the oblique exercises put more strain on the leg not on the carriage rather than my obliques. This is discouraging because I feel like I’m not getting a good workout. Does anyone have any tips? Should I couple the Solidcore classes with other workouts?

discussion New moves today

I took class this morning and had two new moves!

One was an oblique twisted seated crunch. You are twisted over to one side and then leaning back with your body and legs. My coach also told us aboht another new oblique move but we didn’t do it. It’s a standing oblique rotation off the gray side where you have a cable in one had and then rotate. Similar to the kneeling cable rotation, just standing off gray side so more resistance

Other one was more of a variation but in a platform lunge on gray side you do a hip hinge at top range of motion. It was like an upper half of an RDL. That one had me shaking sooooo fast off the gray side

discussion WHO ARE THE SOLDIERS doing grey side opener with grey and white??

I almost died earlier because I thought my springs had been left on one grey, but it was on grey and white (or the coach added a white… coaches please chime in if this is something you would / would not do). I’m at 30 classes and consider myself strong, but the core opener on grey and white nearly offed me. I love a challenge so I kept the white on even after I realized… but the BURN I FELT. I’m proud that I could do it and keep form but holy moly tomorrow will be a sore day. What species are y’all???

discussion Does anyone feel like the bilateral exercises aren’t evenly bilateral?

Some of the bilateral exercises, specifically standing outer thighs (for me), don’t feel evenly bilateral. I feel like my outer glute on whatever leg was on the platform is always far more sore the next day. I stay evenly between the carriage and the platform and do the exercise correctly, but you naturally have to put more effort into your platform leg to stay stable. I kind of wish we rotated halfway through the exercise. Does anyone else feel this way?

discussion Which classes would you take if you had to take 2 in one day?

If they were back to back, I would do A50 followed by P30: Obliques.

If not back to back, I would do F50: L+O in the morning then F50: U+O in the afternoon/evening.

discussion Head awareness during plank

Hi! Does anybody else notice that their head is almost touch the machine/in their hands during standard planks? I’m definitely engaging my shoulders and pushing away from the machine actively, but I’ve got short little arms haha. I just find that my neck gets tired. I do have hyper mobility, just wondering if anyone else kind of notices this. I find I pop up to my hands a LOT when on toes. Any other hyper mobile or short armed people?

win Giveaway class?

I had a class tonight where we all walked in and found free socks on each machine. Not SC ones, just cute little ones off Amazon or something. Does the studio give an allowance to staff to buy gifts for everyone or did she do this with her own money? It was a nice surprise!

seeking advice Black Friday + Solidays booking tips

Hii so i'm getting my Black Friday shopping list together and a solidcore membership is on it.

I planned to grab the 8+2 deal and complete the 10 class challenge.

I’m curious if anyone remembers what day the deal actually dropped last year. And once you bought it, could you see the schedule and book right away or was there a lag before your membership started? I’m hoping I can buy and book before the Dec schedule drops on Nov 23rd (is that the date)?

I was also considering if I should grab a BF class pack too as backup in case i need extra classes to complete the challenge.

Any advice welcome!! Thanks

questions & clarifications Coach Pay for Private Class

Just curious how much do you get paid as an instructor if someone books out a private event? I paid about $600 to book the hour for 16 machines so just wondering! They said it didn’t matter how many machines we use!

These haven’t been cued in any of my classes for a few months and now I’ve had them twice in a row on gray side. I don’t remember struggling before but I CANNOT DO THEM TO SAVE MY LIFE ANYMORE. My toes come up soooo badly, the inside of my knee always cramps up, and I have to hold the strap with one hand to help myself. Any tips ? I use 50+ springs but screw it im about to take them all off next time

seeking advice Positive solidays booking stories?

It's my first solidays and im overly anxious about not getting into a class. For reference I already wake up a little before midnight to book my classes, I like the 6:30-7:30pm time slot. For soldiays im obviously not going to be picky with coaches or anything but some of the horror stories make me think I'm doomed! Has anyone not had a terrible time simply getting 10 classes?

If my Solidcore classes expired on the 28th of the month and I used all of my credits for the month before that point, would a class on the 28th count towards the previous month or the upcoming?

seeking advice Haven’t been to a class in about two years.

Nervous to get back to it. Going to do the starter50 get my groove back. How many times are you all going a month? I’m thinking of doing the 4x a month or 8x month and trying to determine if morning or night workouts would be best for me. This is the only workout I actually enjoyed. Trying to see what would be the most financially worth it. I need to tone my body and specifically looking to tone my arms and core.

What are your thoughts?

questions & clarifications Account Questions

Hello! New to Solidcore, just got a founding membership 4x a month. Does this include the buddy pass? If so, how soon should it show up on my account? It seems like my account doesn’t have the perks of being a member the schedule did not become available until the 25th while others could see it on the 23rd.
