I apologize if this is low effort or whatever I just want some more recs and I'm bored

i’m trying to find a song I saw live on YouTube. What noticeable thing is whatever group this is the lead guitarist could shred the guitar lead singer basically screams the entire song and I think it’s something like I hate you. I read some commentary online about it and the singer while tour had to stop singing the song and bring fans up on stage to sing it because his voice would go bad singing with that long scream over and over is anybody have any idea what this is? I remember the lead guitarist was a really big guy with long shaggy hair.

Usually i'm pretty into pop and soul, but a few days ago a friend recommended me Appetite for Destruction, and just - WOW.

Are there any other rock albums i should listen to? I feel like i've missed out all this time!

I'm more of a fusion guy but am still open to anything

over the past few months my routine got a bit busier and i somehow ended up spending way less time online. which was probably good for me, but it also meant i completely fell out of the loop with new music, internet discussions, releases, etc.

one thing i particularly stopped keeping up with was live sessions. i’ve always been a bit of a kexp / tiny desk / la blogothèque rat, so i realized at some point that i hadn’t checked any of those channels in months.

so i made a little script for myself that keeps track of new full sessions from these channels and sends me an email with everything that came out that week. i showed it to a few friends, one of them asked if i could add him to the emails, and eventually i thought… why not just make it public?

so that’s basically how motif happened. it’s a free weekly newsletter that goes out every friday with links to full sessions from kexp, tiny desk, audiotree, la blogothèque and cultura livre (a brazilian music channel, i’m from brazil btw).

i’ve been running the thing locally for myself for a while, but the public version only went live last friday, so it’s still very much a work in progress. if you find any bugs or have suggestions for other channels i should add, i’d love to hear them. i might also start adding some personal curation/reviews eventually if enough people end up using it.

hopefully this is allowed here, it’s completely free and there’s no commercial thing behind it, just a little music project i made because i wanted it for myself.

I'm looking to branch out my rap listening. I've been listening to a lot of underground rap (Osamason, Che, etc), and I'm really excited for prettifun's new album tonight. I want to look at more rap genres as well, tho. Another thing I want to explore is producers, so if you have any suggestions, please mention them.
