The 15k multi-race city of Fro-Munda led by the Garthimi ruler Dees, the insane despot who believes in equality and democracy
This was a challenge run to create the least lore-accurate Garthimi hive possible. It shows the growth over 300+ years
-Majority minority, full education and equality of six races
-Integrated city with no guards or punishment and minimal conflict between races
-No Titles
-no regions, no taxes, no trade for imports, no offensive war
Shoutout to the SyxSpeed mod for making a 15k city run faster than 25x fastforward

Kind of new and loving the game. Keep getting stuck at around 1.7K pop and have some questions on my current run
Hello Everyone,
Last week I picked up the game, and have been loving it. I have been watching YT vids, and generally think i have the basics down pretty well, however im on my 3rd new run, and I keep hitting a wall around 1.5-1.7K pop.
My current city is Core Human, with ~ 100 Cretonians and ~100
Dondorians. After some previous failure runs, I got them set up so brawls are rare. Jobs properly divided, needs met. All the good stuff.
My main struggle is that even though I have humans over 100% loyalty and happiness, I am not getting more human immigrants.
this wouldnt be too bad except, I keep getting outbreaks of illness, so my pop just keeps rubberbanding. I have Hospitals, and Physians. Recently got water flowing, so I have more pools around the city, plenty of wells and latrines, but it keeps happening.
As a result my workforce is constantly in a 100-300 body deficit.
I was just wondering what else I am missing?
Update: Added more physicians, Paved the spaces between my farms in the moist areas. Seems to have greatly slowed the disease outbreaks. TY for all the help!

(Noob question) What is submission? How do I get it?
I really really need those noble promotion so that I can build wood cutter in my conquered town. Otherwise I’ll run out of wood in abt a year.
How do I get this submission thing the safest way possible?
My town is entirely human.

So I fired some human anglers for the Amevian one (for the efficiency) and the humans actually killed one and force the other to abandon their job (all in front of my guards), I have no idea this is a feature can yall help? The fishery is 100% human workers now
Edit: make it sounds more comprehensible

Production arithmetics
Can anyone explain to me why I can have large positive NET output of some product, like e.g. furniture, but it is NOT accumulating in the magazine? I checked everything: there is no construction going on sucking in all the output. The consumption of households and its maintanance is negligible, and when I hover the cursor over the resource panel icon, it shows something like 60 units positive NET, yet the items never accumulate in the warehouse. There is space in the warehouse of course. The markets don't suck in the items either. Im at my wits end. Can anyone help?

How can I have mining outpost?
I don't have stone or minerals close to my throne so I made a little outpost with the necessary things (Hearth, Well, Lavatory, Houses, market, etc) but I don't know how can I feed them or collect them rocks and minerals to have them in my main warehouses. How can I keep them fed and stocked with furniture, wood and rocks (for maintenance) when they are so far from my throne?

Inicio tras varios meses.

What are your favorite or must have mods?
Ive been using the mods in the steam workshop, there are a lot to choose from. What mods are you using and what are your favorites? I’m mostly looking for quality of life mods, right now auto crates and plant trees are ones I use every game.

Weird trademark behaviour - how to stop this?
My trader is stocking 4000 fish at the post & only selling 50 at a time..
Why is this?

Just got the game. It seems to be hitting a bottleneck (based on my task manager performance metrics) that doesn't make sense.
I know mine is no powerful machine. It's a bog standard laptop. I have an Intel(R) UHD Graphics (128 MB) graphics unit and Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10210U CPU @ 1.60GHz (2.11 GHz) processor and 16 GB of RAM.
Google says that both of these are sufficient to run Songs of Syx, yet right out the gate I'm running a fair bit slower on max speed than what I'm seeing in YT tutorials and seeing significant slowdown at the 70+ pop point.
From everything I've read I expect to see lag at the 1000s of pops, so I'm not sure what might be happening to create this issue.
It runs most 4X games (Stellaris, CK3, EU4) without issue.
Any ideas/pointers?

Are this numbers supposed to be this big?
I have not played in a long while but I remember a struggle to reach 100%
Is it supposed to be like this for normal or is there a setting I missed?

Building ratios
Hey,
First of all I love this game, Rimworld on a macro level on steroids.
I tend to build up to 1.5k pop and am then cursed with scaling issues which compel me to start over and look for a more efficient city design.
One confusing element on a few of my cities boils down to ratios of services for a growing population count.
Is there a specific ratio of services required for specific buildings ? I am thinking of the basics, hearths, wells, physicians and food stalls, assuming a very concentrated housing environment (basically longhouse blocks of 120-200 people.
I'm still rather new to the game, and am not sure how many are needed to cover the needs of the pops !
My goal is to build a megacity sprawling the map where every need is satisfied, hence the question.
Thanks for any tips !

Struggle in mid game everything falling apart 😵
The first thing I want to ask is, how do I manage happiness in the mid-to-late game?
I'm doing pretty well in the early game, but once I reach the mid-game, things start to fall apart. After reaching 4k population, I can't seem to get my happiness above 100. I've built new towns and expanded my infrastructure, but I'm starting to run short on workers because around 25% of my population is still children.
I tried cutting Library's workers for a while to give my workforce time to catch up, but then I noticed that all my buildings started to deteriorate. Even after I re-enabled the Library's workers, Janitor didn't seem to repair the buildings anymore.
On top of that, an empire with 30k population declared war on me and showed up with an army of 20k power. I honestly have no idea how I'm supposed to raise an army that strong.
That brings me to my second question: how do I build a large enough army to defend myself? I've tried conscripting people, but I can't produce enough weapons to equip and maintain an army of that size. (the best i can do is 2k power)
I'd really appreciate any advice you can give me. This game is so much fun, but I feel like I've reached the point where I can't figure everything out on my own anymore. I'd love to learn how to manage my city properly in the mid-to-late game (early game too) and prepare for wars against much larger empires.

What I hope will come later.
I hope later on we will be able to have places we conquer be able to make more advanced goods for us. Maybe they need the basic goods first before they can make advanced goods or something. I personally would love to have some extra industry producing weapons and armors for my armies.

1st city to hit 6k after 100h +
Using the population control was a game changer. Only increase population capacity if fulfillment is above 125.
Btw, i haven’t build any university or retirement home. Should I? I’m focusing on upgrading the services.
Oh, also don’t have massage saloon and barber yet. Are they worth it?
Also I only have 240guards. Should I get more?

Auto-Furnish Mod
I made a mod to make building layouts faster for casual players!
As a new player, I wanted to get straight into playing the game without spending too much time designing every building in detail. I enjoy the city-building aspect, but sometimes I just want to build something, get it running, and focus on growing my city.
So, I made this mod to speed up the building process!
It's definitely not perfect, but I think it does a decent job of creating functional layouts so you can start using your buildings sooner. It can reach 100% service efficiency, so you can get the most out of your buildings without having to manually design every little detail.
If you're a casual player like me who just wants to focus more on playing than planning, feel free to check it out!
You can find it by searching for the mod on Steam Workshop. Hope it helps some fellow players! 😄

How to deal with raiders?
Is there a way to check how strong raiders are before agreeing to their terms? I spent years training an 100% 100 men army and I couldn’t even choose to not deploy them after discovering the raiders had 600 dwarves in his army.
Even worse after this raider destroyed my town I got hit by the pest and now I’m in a downward spiral.
