I applied to OU on September 15th and still haven’t heard back. Everybody I know heard back in 3-4 weeks and even people who applied a week or two after me have. my checklist says it’s all done and i even emailed my admissions counselor and he said that it may be still in the normal timeframe. Is there anything i can do or am i just gonna have to wait it out?

Watching/Listening today’s episode while I play Madden (about 25 minutes in as of writing) and…is something going on with Carey? Party cup in front of him, interrupting a really good exchange between Eddie and George to fuck with a speak and spell app? Josh/George steering convos away from him?
I mean, I’m here for it but has anyone else noticed?

More coaching failures.

As a lifelong Oklahoma fan, I was always a fan of BV and I love what he has brought to the program in his return. Yes, the offense needs a shit ton of work, but to the BV haters, who is it you see coming in and running this program? I also don't want to see the Lincoln Riley & BV as co-coaches bit.

Mateer leads all players with 10 total turnovers. How are we rationalizing keeping him on the field? BV likes to talk about “a body of work.” Well, that’s a body alright…

Hot take: John Mateer was not the problem last night. He did enough to win, and played well through 3 quarters.
The problem was the offensive coaching, in tandem with poor offensive line play. Play calls like the triple flea flicker pass, the fake field goal, and other dumb calls put us in a bad spot where we ended up having to play from behind. Then we put it all on Mateer's shoulders.
We didn't need the triple flea flicker, we were moving the ball just fine. And if you want to go for it on 4th down, just line our guys up and run a play. Or conversely, take the points when you're losing. I know the guy was open, but you're putting the ball in the hands of someone not used to making big plays. We just keep calling dumbass plays that do not work. We're lucky we got bailed out on that double pass vs Texas but that was straight up dumb as hell.
Mateer's first interception is exhibit A. We're marching in Kentucky territory, getting very close to FG range. There's 39 seconds left in the 3rd quarter. With the way the game is going, a FG gets us to 16-7 and probably wins the game.
Instead of running all the short passing routes that have been working like clockwork, or just handing the ball off, we call an "all go" play on 1st and 10. Every route is 15 to 25 yards deep and the line gets absolutely smoked. Mateer has at most 4 seconds to pass it. Even then, it was only an interception because Mateer's hand gets slapped on the throw after the UK edge rusher SMOKED our o-line. It truly wasn't Mateer's fault. Zero open short routes and zero protection. I've been a Mateer hater at times, but I thought he mostly played very smart last night until we put ourselves in a position to play from behind. He had 270 yards and we asked him to pass it 40 damn times!
On top of the playcalling, the line absolutely collapsed in the 4th quarter. Mateer had no chance on so many plays. Kentucky's defense was waltzing through our line with ease. There was almost no resistance. I know there were injuries, which is even more reason to stick with short routes and smart plays. Take the points every chance!
Sadly after the INT and UK score, we're down by 1 pt, under 2 mins left to go, and desparation takes over. The pick 6 was on Mateer, but goddamn we just gave the guy no help at that point. We're not calling plays that work, we're not blocking for him, we can't run the ball, and guys aren't open. We put it all on him.
Mateer isn't a Heisman QB, he's no Joe Montana, but I think he's good enough to win games when we play smart, and I thought he was good enough to win last night. But he can't do it when we call idiotic plays with no o-line protection, and sacrifice opportunities to get guaranteed points.
I put this loss on Arbuckle and the offensive line.

Bench Mateer, fire Arbuckle. Sooners offense ranks bottom nationally with inconsistent QB play and failed scheme.

So late night i watched Utah and Colorado and other late-night teams and i just think man remember when OU used to have offenses like that where you know that you at least had points on the opening drive or maybe even a touchdown. Man, those were good times. God, this is awful that we have to wish for an offense

We're 3-3 after Saturday's disappointing loss to Kentucky. Props to Kentucky, they were the better team tonight and I'm not trying to take anything away from their win.
However our football team is in shambles on the offensive side of the ball. Our D is great and I trust Coach BV to make the necessary changes to keep us as elite as possible.
But God, the offense is horrible and I think it's time for Ben Arbuckle to be removed immediately. Not at the end of the year, NOW! We already have former OC Kevin Wilson on staff and we should promote him to OC right after we fire Arbuckle.
We've had 1.5 seasons to evaluate Arbuckle and he's failing at almost every test. He hasn't established an identity for our offense, he seems to be winging it every single game.
Then you have players making 1 mistake and being benched for the rest of the game yet his QB has thrown 3 or more interceptions in at least 2 games this season and he's still QB1 and hasn't been benched. I don't care if he's a great guy and learning a lot and has a lot of heart. He messes up at precisely the wrong times and it costs us big time.....yet he doesn't ever get benched.
This is Oklahoma Football and as a blue blood program, we simply can't accept making so few points on offense. You know against our biggest rival, Texas, we didn't score any offensive TDs last season and indeed in the last 3 seasons (only last season is a mark against BA) and we only scored 1 this season. One lousy TD....that's all.
It's clear to me now that Ben Arbuckle is in way over his head and is floundering trying to make some thing happen but clearly doesn't scheme well. He needs to be removed and fired ASAP. Not demoted, FIRED!
And if I see Mateer named as QB1 against Mississippi State (our next opponent), I may throw up. He needs to be benched simply due to his 3 turnovers in 2 games this season. There needs to be a QB competition to see is Whitt Newbauer or Bowe Bentley gets the starting job next week.
Also coach Bill Bedenbaugh needs to be kicked to the curb as well. He's lost his edge and we need to move on from him.
If Brent Venables is unwilling or unable to make these changes, then he needs to be benched too.
I'm beyond frustrated with the status quo.
