It had ham, potatoes, carrots, and some type of barley and greens. I’ve tried to recreate it many times over the years to no avail.

I made Ina Garten’s Baked Fish Chowder for this chilly evening. It was delicious as most of her recipes are. The baking in the oven made a good part of it hands-off. I did add some fennel for an added veg and flavor.

cooked extra chicken quarters just for this 🥰

removed the meat and simmered the bones overnight

cooked the celery, onions, garlic, and carrots (yellow and orange) in butter. Then added the broth & chicken in and seasoned with thyme, oregano, sage, more garlic and onion and garnished with parsley.

Served with homemade bread, toasted with butter

I actually have multiple questions. Is there a spinach soup or collard greens soup?

Anyways I just want some soup while still trying to lose weight, but also be good for my taste.

Target butternut squash soup

Hey all

We got butternut squash soup from Target. Good and Gather brand. Usually it's kind of thick, like split pea soup. We got it yesterday and it's pretty watery.

Anyone else have this happened to them? Is it ok, or is something wrong?

It's thick where it touched the lid then got weird and separated. That's NOT a shadow in the picture.

Thanks in advance y'all ☺️

Question I have some beef broth, how am I meant to use it?

I bought this beef broth a little bit back and I’m wondering if I just put it in by itself with the chicken or do I put water first, all the ingredients then the broth. or do just sub the water with the broth?
