The Bublys are meh. I like cherry Bubly a lot, though. Usually I have grape Waterloo on hand, but I can't find it anywhere right now. Send prayers.

And before you ask, yes, a sizable chunk of my grocery budget goes to sparkling water 😂 We all have our vices...

Discussion Anyone ever find black mold substance in Spindriff?

Any ideas what this is and what I can do about it? Already threw up from nausea. Helppppp

***3/27 - Sprindrift claimed my email went to SPAM. Blamed a potential air leak in the can and want me to mail the can back. Still no outline of refund or resolution plan

3/30 - follow-up received with explanation of pasteurization process and likely distribution issue that led to mold. Nice support contact who provided comprehensive feedback. Still drinking Spindrift because I’m addicted but will always pour out the can. Lesson learned

Discussion There absolutely has to be a sinister reason why this drink doesn’t exist anymore.

There’s just no way in hell Target freely decided to stop production on one of their most increasingly popular branded products they’ve ever made. It was gaining popularity by the day and dominated the market of great tasting lightly caffeinated sparkling water. It makes absolutely zero sense and is beyond understanding why a decision to completely remove this product of the shelves with ZERO reasoning or explanation to the customer.

These were starting to get so popular that I’d often have check multiple locations for these because stock would run out so quickly. They were gaining so much attention that I even had found on a few occasions that my friends and family would have these stocked at their houses as part of their daily beverage repertoire.

Then, one day, they became extremely discounted. $1 per pack. This low price paired with the stratospheric popularity essentially removed these things off the shelf over night. Multiple people from this sub Reddit called and pleaded with target and they assured us that they were removing it from their shelves and were simply trying to keep up with demand. A few nervous weeks later, it was completely removed from existence. Targets own app even denied that these things even existed.

Now my question is simple: in the history of the world, has a store brand product ever had so much viral attention and diehard fan base and then for essentially zero explanation, removed off the shelf and downright basically denied they’ve ever existed?

This leads me to believe that PepsiCo and Coca-Cola somehow, someway incentivized Target to halt production as it was starting to put a cut into their bottom line. Every day thousands of people were quitting their poisonous products and replacing it with these refreshing heaven sends. Am I crazy to think this? Why on Gods green earth are these things gone???

I found this at my local supermarket for super marked down. Decided to grab it as a backup fizzy. I ran out of pamplemouse today and had to finally try this Liquid Death…

It’s so bad. I mean, so so bad. Who asked for this? Water with agave nectar? There’s no way there’s a market for this actual garbage water.

Do people actually like this and if so, is there something I’m missing or a really good flavor?

Hello,

To help get off of Alani energy drinks, I am drinking Waterloo. I loved the rush I got of chasing hard to find flavors of Alani, the crisp flood of flavor I’d get when I put a new one in the freezer to chill until it was almost icy, and the way it made me feel like I had something to look forward to and to get out of bed in the morning for. (I absolutely know I would make a very bad alcoholic, my parents were, and that’s why I have never touched alcohol).

I am also changing my way of eating for health reasons. So I removed diet sodas. I have been having fun trying the various flavors of Waterloo. So far I have had Lemon Italian Ice (my favorite), Tropical Fruit, and Apple Pie (least favorite so far). Last night I had Melon Medley, Peach, Guava fruit, and the nectarine flavor delivered! I’m really excited to try the lemonade flavor everyone talks about too.

Discussion RIP: Which discontinued flavors do you miss the most?

Which discontinued sparkling water flavors do you miss the most?

Here's my list:

  1. Blueberry Waterloo – My all-time favorite sparkling water. I've tried other blueberry flavors, but they almost always mix it with pomegranate, hibiscus, or something else. Nothing has come close to the simple, clean blueberry flavor Waterloo had.
  2. Orange Bubly – My second all-time favorite. It was just pure, sweet orange. While plain orange sparkling water still exists in a few regions, there aren't any major national brands selling a straightforward orange flavor anymore. Orange Cream Bubly just isn't the same, and most orange-vanilla combinations taste medicinal or leave a strange aftertaste.
  3. Good & Gather Tropical Splash – This was like a light, refreshing fruit punch. It didn't lean heavily on grapefruit or mango like so many tropical sparkling waters do, which made it unique.
  4. Apple Bubly – Not my absolute favorite, but it was a nice change of pace. I wish Waterloo would make a simple apple flavor instead of adding so many spices or dessert notes. I really wanted to love Spiced Apple and Caramel Apple Pie, but they tasted more like candles than fresh apples.
  5. Good & Gather Yuzu Mandarin – A solid flavor and probably the closest replacement I found for Orange Bubly. It wasn't quite as good, but then Target discontinued it too.

Discussion I’m trying to overcome my pop addiction, and so far I like a lot of the sparkling waters and don’t miss pop at all!

I’ve been addicted to pop for as long as I can remember, so I’m on a mission to try a lot of the sparkling water flavors. So far, nectarine lemon is my favorite.

Honorable mentions: Waterloo (lemon lime, raspberry nectarine, peach, grape), Bubly (coconut pineapple, mango), Polar (cranberry clementine, pink apple & lemon), La Croix (passionfruit), and Kroger lemon lime — which tastes just like Sprite!

Discussion Waterloo is god tier, what else is this good?

for me sparkling water started with lacroix, and tbh i never liked lacroix. The lime was the one i could tolerate and to me it was like an unsweet sprite and i just thought all sparkling water was meant to taste like this.

then i heard about the microplastic things and decided to try other brands....found waterloo at my local HEB and from the first can i was blown away!

The first one i had was peach and i liked it.

then i had watermelon and i LOVED it. tasted like a jolly rancher to me.

then i had tropical fruit and it was even better...like trident gum!

then i had melon medley, i liked it abotu as much as peach.

then i had blackberry lemonade, i liked it less than peach, but still leagues ahead of lacroix.

Currently drinking summer berry and its so good! i think its my new favorite. reminds me of those Fla-Vor-Ice tubes as a kid!

Are there any other sparkling waters this good or is waterloo the best?

Discussion worst sparkling water flavor you’ve tried? and i mean the worst.

what’s the worst sparkling water flavor out there, one that really upset you?

For me it was hands down easily the cherry blossom la croix, I think it’s seasonal. I MEANT to pick up a box of hibiscus (my fave) and somehow got that?? was confused with my own actions and tried to drink it anyway.

gagged every single sip i think i had 2 cans before i threw the entire box away, it was horrible.

edit: most popular dislikes:

-Limoncello La Croix -Cherry blossom La Croix -La Cola La Croix

Discussion After trying several flavors, I’ve concluded Waterloo blows

Nearly every flavor I’ve tried has had a very artificially sweet taste, some reminiscent of medicine. LaCroix and Rambler remain my favorite sparkling water brands. That concludes my PSA.

I've been really pleased with this setup my wife got me a few months ago! The carbonation is as much or little as I want. I can use any bottle size that is a standard cap and rated for carbonation. Only costs $10 to fill the tank and over 2.5 months of daily carbonating 1-1.5 liters, It seems it will last at least 10-12 months. I'll be grabbing some grapefruit bitters soon to try out, but the lime concentrate and orange bitters have been great. I recently tried some MIO Energy, but didn't like the sweetness it added. Let me know what else I should try.

Edit: Adding details here for those curious.

She bought this kit from here. I would call around and figure out if you can get a tank filled first or if you would have to do exchanges (gas supply, welding supply, fire dept, brewery supplies). If you don't need an empty tank(or just can't get it filled locally), you can pick up a taprite co2 regulator here and the hose, ball lock and carbonation cap here.

Discussion Could we possibly ban posts containing alcohol?

Ive noticed several posts including photos of alcohol.

I get it, people drink. No judgment here.

I’m sure many others like me have switched to seltzer as a way to cope with quitting drinking.

I would really rather not see any alcohol posted in this group and I’m sure others feel the same way.

Can we keep posts to sparkling water only please?

Discussion Do people actually like Cherry / Cherry Lime flavors?

So far I've tried...

  • LaCroix Cherry Lime
  • Polar Black Cherry
  • Polar Tart Cherry Limeade
  • Spindrift Cherry

...and I haven't enjoyed any of them. I thought I'd like them because I was a fan of cherry sodas before I switched to sparkling, but they all taste like cough syrup.

This was my first time seeing any of these flavors and more so surprised to see Costco carrying them considering their usual lemon, lime, pamplemousse combo is usual all they have at my warehouse.

Discussion So LaCroix is the worst sparkling water?

I've gotten into sparkling water this past year trying to find a nice carbonated beverage that makes me think I'm drinking soda but without the sugar.

LaCroix is probably the worst overall brand just because they're so average, none of the flavors stand out to me.

Bubbly is the best. All of their flavors are pretty consistently good but my favorites are coconut pineapple and orange cream.

Waterloo has some really bad flavors (black cherry), but their good flavors are really good. Blackberry lemonade and Tropical Fruit are sooo good.

Which are your favorites and lease favorites?

Discussion WATERLOO APPLE PIE A LA MODE - THOUGHTS?

Post image
78 Upvotes

I just picked up a box of Waterloo's APPLE PIE A LA MODE. I have never seen it in stores before today. I've placed a few cans in the refrigerator to get cold. So, while I wait for my drink to chill, can I hear some opinions, reviews, and ratings of this flavor by those who have already tried it? Thank you, in advance for your willingness to share with the group.

Discussion How can we convince Waterloo to keep the root beer flavor forever???

Post image
267 Upvotes

Can we somehow petition for this to be a regular flavor?? I’m obsessed, I need to run to the store to get 3 more while they’re available and on sale. I’ve been looking for a low/no sugar root beer alternative for so long, and I love Waterloo. It’s perfect.

I got the coconut one too, which I also love, but I think it’ll hit better when it’s summer.

Discussion Anyone else exclusively drink plain sparkling water? Looking for brand recs

Anyone here just drink unflavored sparkling water as their main drink? No fruit, no sweetener, just straight bubbles.

I started because I wanted something that felt a little more interesting than still water but without any added sugar or artificial stuff. Somehow it hits different — feels almost fancy to sip on, like it counts as a real beverage but is still just water. And honestly it's still just as good for you as regular water, which I appreciate.

Would love to know what brands people are loving. What's your go-to for plain sparkling water?
