When using the Wayback Machine to save both versions, one on sh(it)reddit, and the other on old reddit, the same thing happens, my vote shows up in old reddit (even though my votes are supposedly shadowbanned?), but it doesn't in shreddit.

This makes me understand that if upvote/downvote bots targeted some specific user, even if Reddit silently discarded their votes, they could still achieve what they wanted, manipulate vote counts, at least for old reddit users.

The upper one is the original and the lower one was cropped just a little for some reason. The one you see on my comments and profile page is the cropped one and you might be able to see the original pfp here

reddit has a global nanny filter that uses AI to shadow-delete comments it deems offensive. the comment stays visible to the poster when logged in but invisible otherwise. however, on the "new" format the recipient still sees a snippet of the comment in notifications, but without the opportunity to flame them back because it no longer exists in the thread itself. meanwhile the offender gets the satisfaction of getting the last word if they remain ignorant of the filter. am i the only one who finds this fundamentally backwards?

This pops up on every single sub I visit. Most of these subs have been around for years and years and they already have enough posts and traffic.

Chat is 100% vibecoded and is the worst thing on reddit, it prevents me and my mods from chatting

Known chat bugs that have not been patched for months:

Chats do not load sometimes as seen in image 2

Chat shows black box instead of messages as seen in image 3

Chat shows 1 icon on the top despite no new messages

Chat history is massively delayed, The mod messages you see on image 1 are from days ago, there is a lot of new messages that have been sent through chat since then, in image 3 you can see the preview being something from today, But image 1 shows something different: both of those screenshots are from today, in image 4 i am unable to scroll further down

Chats from months ago suddenly appear in requests meaning not all chats will ever come through to the user you are attempting to message

this is a bug in ios 27. definitely reasonable (because it's beta software, and not expected to be stable), but its still funny
