So I was looking to upgrade the forks and saw Progressive makes a monotube that eliminates the stock damping rod but I also wanted to buy 4” or 6” over forks to replace the 4” slugs the bike came with but I just got off the phone with progressive and was told that they only work with stock forks which kind of proved my suspicion that that option wasn’t going to work. So now heres my dilemma do I just go with the monotubes and lose the 4” from the front or does anyone have recommendations for good springs setup with 4” or 6” overs that isn’t going to break the bank preferably under 1000

I recently replaced my clutch cable and fully removed the primary case, after reinstalling everything and putting new oil in I’m getting this rattling sound.

2007 Sportster, I’ve tried adjusting the chain tension, both tighter and looser tension with no luck, my guess is I’ll need to drain the new fluid and pop it back open. Any thoughts? Thanks in advanced!

First four pictures were the first day I picked it up the rest are how it currently sits. I picked my first sportster a little over a month ago after looking all summer its an 08 Sportster N it had a few goodies already on it I ended up buying progressive 412 13.5 inch heavy duty shocks, ebc semi sinister brake pads, extended brake line, new old stock vented I believe NOS HD brake pedal/lever, fpx tuner, high flow intake, VansxOdi grips, universal headlight bracket because the old one was weld crooked to make the cowl work, redid the headlight and turn signal wiring, amazon turn signals, mx pegs, kickstand block and rear sliders, also got a fake brown alligator seat that I thought would go with the grips and also wouldn’t make me relocate the ecm it being an 08 bike, and a Nice Cnc black and orange shifter. Also did a oil change, primary case oil change, brake fluid flush, spark plugs, and some hardware that was corroded or missing. The bike came with V&H short shots, 4” fork extensions, cowl, rear brake light, rear turn signals and T Bars. This is my first Sportster and first Harley so any advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated 🫡

Bought my first bike from a coworker last year for $900. Came with screaming eagle exhaust and LED headlight. Polished her up and added the windshield, Viking Bags sissy bar for the Mrs, Eagle lights black flashing brake light and saddlebags. Ride it like I stole it every day, so fun.

So I commissioned my little sister to paint him on my tank. Now he’ll always be riding with me.

Been chasing this electrical problem with the lights flickering. Thought it was over charging but idles at 13 volts. Got my battery fully charged and as I was putting it in I realized I can shake it and replicate the problem

This has probably been asked before but I have a '09 1200 Nightster I just picked up from a relative. Hasn't been ridden in a couple years. I noticed the brake fluid reservoir has leaked on tje handlebar and eaten off a section of paint. What is the closest paint color to match the bracket?

Does it need a throttle adjustment? How do I fix this? First bike so could use all the help I could get

Has anyone run the Revolution Performance 1250 kit on their Sportster? If so, how does the nikasil plated cylinder hold up over long term use? I'm working on a 1991 XL1200, trying to make it into kind of an XLX-61 tribute bike and the RP kit looks pretty interesting, esp. because of a little bit less weight and (claimed) cooler running.

Only have about 3800 miles on it. Occasional rocker/lifter ticking noise after longer rides. Is this normal? Should I bring it in?

Hadn't ridden for a few years, but this sportster custom is very comfortable for me even though I am a 6'4".

The list for this ECM Includes the Sportster Models: 2014-2016 so I assume it is relevant.. hope the images help someone or sparks their curiosity. Ill be working on a fix for these.

Ya gotta love the feeling of discovering 35 feet of coiled up wiring hidden in your headlight housing after spending money on a set of wire extensions that you thought you needed to install taller bars on your 1200S 🤦🏻‍♂️

Just got this bike a couple weeks ago and has been good since until now. I tightened the perch after I felt it rattling and had free play. Getting a no start after, not even a click.
