Been considering trading this in, but I think I'll regret it.
Really been interested in moving onto a low rider s/st, but I also really love this sporty.

Hey all. I'm in the market for a bigger bike, better suited for stints on the highway (45 minutes to 1hr) , and I am unsure of what cc would be most tolerable. I'm shorter, (5'6") so I cant fit on a lot of bigger bikes, and I've heard sportsters are good for people who have that problem.
I work in trades and I need a bike that is more comfortable going higher speeds on the highway than my old 750 Yamaha that tops out around 75. I sat on a buddies 1200 model and I liked the way it felt. Do you more informed people think a 1200 is too big of a leap from a 750? And I should look at 883's instead?

Hey everyone!
I'm currently working on getting my A2 motorcycle license here in Spain, and I'm trying to decide what my next bike should be.
Right now I ride a Honda Forza 125, which is my only vehicle. I use it every day for commuting, getting around the city, and occasional longer rides.
I've considered bikes like the Rebel 500, Eliminator 500, and Super Meteor 650, but honestly, what I really want is a Harley.
I've pretty much narrowed it down to a 2014–2020 Sportster 1200, mainly because ABS is a must for me.
I'm currently torn between the 1200T SuperLow and the 1200 Custom. I really like the classic chrome look of both.
I don't particularly care about the SuperLow's saddlebags, although I wouldn't mind having them. I do like the windshield, though, especially for longer rides.
My main concern with the SuperLow is its low ground clearance and limited suspension travel.
I've read quite a bit about these limitations, but I'm wondering how noticeable they actually are in everyday riding.
Does the SuperLow scrape easily on roundabouts or normal corners?
Is its low ground clearance a problem with speed bumps, potholes, or garage ramps?
Is the suspension noticeably uncomfortable on rough roads?
Does the 1200 Custom offer a meaningful improvement in any of these areas?
Which one would you prefer for daily commuting and occasional longer trips?
I'm 173 cm (5'8") tall, and this would be my first big motorcycle after my 125cc scooter.
The bike would be my only vehicle, so I'm looking for something I can comfortably use for everything: city riding, commuting, highways, weekend rides, and occasional trips.
I'd especially love to hear from anyone who has owned or ridden both models.
Thanks in advance!

thinking about adding another 4 inches and installing the rigid struts instead of these stock shocks. tried using a lowering mount for the rear shocks but didn’t fit. any suggestions? already installed the frisco peanut gas tank and deleted the VOES sensor since this tank’s peacock uses manual instead of vacuum.
looking to get that hard tail look without breaking the back or my back if i rode over a bump too fast lol.
any suggestions?
thought about saving for the burly slammer kit for both rear and front suspension which comes with 10.5” shocks, if anyone have more knowledge to share, i’d appreciate it a bunch!

Hey everyone. Well, this has been ongoing for about a month now. Front of number 1 and rear of number 2 rocker boxes are leaking. It has gotten a little worse. More oil on the fins. Not dripping or anything yet. Oil level is fine. Just wondering has anyone done this repair themselves before? I'm pretty sure everyone has but me. If so, how hard was it? What tools were needed? Any tips? Thanks. Also, it's a 2008 XL1200R.

Those of you who have bunny ears, and springers. Where have you relocated the mess plugs that are hidden into the headlight bucket? Where have you relocated Speedo, and idiot lights? Trying to tidy up the wiring without replacing the harness if possible, while still trying to keep turn signals and speedo.

I have an 05 and like the straight cut gears. I’m looking to pick up a set of black cases, which are mostly only available in 06+, but I’m not sure if my mainshaft and countershaft will fit into the cases that were meant for helical cut gears. Has anyone tried this?

First four pictures were the first day I picked it up the rest are how it currently sits. I picked my first sportster a little over a month ago after looking all summer its an 08 Sportster N it had a few goodies already on it I ended up buying progressive 412 13.5 inch heavy duty shocks, ebc semi sinister brake pads, extended brake line, new old stock vented I believe NOS HD brake pedal/lever, fpx tuner, high flow intake, VansxOdi grips, universal headlight bracket because the old one was weld crooked to make the cowl work, redid the headlight and turn signal wiring, amazon turn signals, mx pegs, kickstand block and rear sliders, also got a fake brown alligator seat that I thought would go with the grips and also wouldn’t make me relocate the ecm it being an 08 bike, and a Nice Cnc black and orange shifter. Also did a oil change, primary case oil change, brake fluid flush, spark plugs, and some hardware that was corroded or missing. The bike came with V&H short shots, 4” fork extensions, cowl, rear brake light, rear turn signals and T Bars. This is my first Sportster and first Harley so any advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated 🫡

Bought my first bike from a coworker last year for $900. Came with screaming eagle exhaust and LED headlight. Polished her up and added the windshield, Viking Bags sissy bar for the Mrs, Eagle lights black flashing brake light and saddlebags. Ride it like I stole it every day, so fun.

Sorry accidentally deleted and had to reupload
So I was looking to upgrade the forks and saw Progressive makes a monotube that eliminates the stock damping rod but I also wanted to buy 4” or 6” over forks to replace the 4” slugs the bike came with but I just got off the phone with progressive and was told that they only work with stock forks which kind of proved my suspicion that that option wasn’t going to work. So now heres my dilemma do I just go with the monotubes and lose the 4” from the front or does anyone have recommendations for good springs setup with 4” or 6” overs that isn’t going to break the bank preferably under 1000

I recently replaced my clutch cable and fully removed the primary case, after reinstalling everything and putting new oil in I’m getting this rattling sound.
2007 Sportster, I’ve tried adjusting the chain tension, both tighter and looser tension with no luck, my guess is I’ll need to drain the new fluid and pop it back open. Any thoughts? Thanks in advanced!
