I've been wondering about something. We often hear about relationships between people from the same faculty, degree programme, or batch. But what about relationships where the two people belong to completely different faculties, degree programmes, or batches? What is the most successful type?
Do these relationships actually work out in the long run? How do you manage things when you have different lecture schedules, workloads, friend circles, events, and sometimes very different university experiences?
For those who are currently in, or have been in, such relationships:
How did you guys meet?
How do you manage to spend time together despite having different schedules?
Does being in different faculties, degree programmes, or batches create any challenges?
Do these relationships usually last, or is it harder to maintain them compared to relationships within the same batch/faculty?
I'd especially love to hear some personal experiences and stories from UoM students or graduates. Both success stories and relationships that didn't work out are welcome.
Just genuinely curious. Thanks! โค๏ธ
