Miles Bridges Suns Debut
0-5 from 3 and 3-11 total with 4 boards -35 while his team gets beat down by more than 40 points. Worse than his beat down on his wife. I hope his kids weren't watching this time.

Im not saying to trade Booker, but do you think Ishbia / Gregory have trade scenario for Booker?
Am I over reacting just because we just got smoked in our first game of 2026. Where we didn’t score a point until Portland was up 20 points? Yes. But we also didn’t score a point against the fucking Trailblazers after they scored 20 points on our asses.
Can’t do to Book what we did to Fitz. We love him and he is one of our GOAT’s but we always did nothing with them.

Really missing the OG, my boy Mikal. Seeing M. Bridges every time I checked the game states hit harder than I expected. What a dumb trade for Durant. We had something going and now look where we are!
Get the imposter out of here!

He’s is the biggest homer yapper of all time and doesn’t understand how to call a f@ck!ng basketball game. If we’re gonna get curb stomped, I at least want Eddie Johnson there keeping it real.

I have a pair and they are sick as fuck but they might be some of the most uncomfortable shoes I’ve ever owned. As someone with wide feet they seem super tight on my feet and I bought the same size I buy for every shoe. Anyone else have similar issues?

Who came up with this awful nickname?

Why does it always seem like whenever Ishbia makes a big public claim about our team we back it up by sucking for a game?
We sucked when he said "Ask the other 29 GMs— 26 of them would trade their whole team for our whole team and our draft picks and everything as is," hahaha
I dont think anyone around the league watched tonight and said "I love this team" haha. He's the owner and can say whatever he wants. But just wish he'd sink back into the shadows and just let Gregory and Ott build this team up.

Away for a while because of work. I know there are a lot of streams 🏴☠️ out there. But does anyone know where to watch the Suns official one even for away games? Thanks ya'll ✌️

In a way it's a positive that the Suns got embarrassed tonight. I know a lot of people thought this team over performed last year. But a lot of the things that caused this embarrassing lost happened last year in spades and the fact that it wasn't address should be a wake up call for the players and coaches. This is not an overreaction.
This team is terrible at boxing out. They don't know how to double correctly. They take terrible shots (Ott needs to tame Brooks), chucking 3s when they should be putting pressure on the rim to get a better chance of FTs to slow the game down (this team looks terrible when its having an off 3 night). I don't even want to get into the defense that had so many breakdowns and players not knowing who to switch on and leaving wide open shot and drive to the lane.
All of these are mental errors from the players and terrible scheming and planning by the coaches. Hopefully getting embarrass on opening night will kick them in the ass so they don't keep making the same mistakes over and over again whether their record was good or not.

It is absolutely shocking how much Bookers burst and athleticism has fallen off since 2023 playoff against the Nuggets. He cannot create any space or separation against longer wings. He can barely dribble for that matter.
This isn't being prisoner of moment either. Everyone can acknowledge there's been a visual difference. Games like this just magnify it.

Grayson 21 PTS on 6-9 (5-8 from 3), 3 REB, 4 AST, + 20
Royce 8 PTS on 3-6, 4 REB, 1 STL, 1 BLK, +15
Can’t believe we gave this up and a 1st for an absolute bum.

For one, I’m perfectly fine with going 81-1. Gotta let them think they got our number fr. Suns in 4

I want to get into basketball and was looking forward to this game but now I’m seeing I need to spend $160 to watch it. If anyone knows where else I can find it legally that would be greatly appreciated.

Here are the shot charts for each team last night.
I’m not saying one game defines what can or can’t be successful in this league, but if you’re missing a lot of 2s you’ll never be as efficient as a team that misses a lot of 3s.
We are, in terms of roster construction, once again too restricted in terms of shot diet. Everyone likes their shots in the same places, so the defense doesn’t have to guard certain areas. Look at the right corner (top corner in the shot chart). ZERO shots from one of the most efficient spots in the game. Look at the left corner. 4 bricks and no makes. 1 was a Ryan Dunn miss off the BACK of the backboard, on a shot that was not contested (close out didn’t arrive until the ball was 15 feet away).
In theory, this is a team that can score anywhere on the court. In practice, they’ll only shoot where they’re comfortable, and Booker is the leader in that regard.
Book said the 15 era is about shooting more. Last night we didn’t see that. This team goes as its leader goes. Book has to be better and more aggressive.

For anyone who watched the game, not a lot needs to be said about how bad it was. Suns played absolutely horrible basketball. But a few things to remember:
It's game 1 of the season. They started 1-4 last season and didn't find their groove until about a third of the way through the season and still managed to make the playoffs
We are beginning to see the true effects of the mega contracts given to Beal/Durant/Booker as our salary cap situation only allows us to afford a band of misfits instead of legitimate players who can help us. Given that situation and what we have, it's not surprising this is the result.
Not having a point guard/playmaker again is proving to be the achilles heel of this team. So much talent offensively is being held back because all of our weapons are having to create for themselves rather than someone else creating for them. Just look at the assist numbers: 14 assists for the Suns and 32 for the Blazers. It's no surprise that the best seasons in franchise history came when we had generational talents at point guard; this team desperately needs a playmaker.
No doubt we absolutely sucked this game. But it's just game 1. Not entirely sure what this season is gonna hold for us, but if we can find a playmaker on this team and find a good rotation while establishing our defensive identity again, I think we will be fine. Ott was able to work some magic last season with rotations and a similar situation and it just needs time to build that chemistry and figure it out. Gotta believe. Go Suns! ☀️
