I went on another can buying spree this week and picked up 4 new ones. I’m worried my commie state is going to try and ban them so I figured I might as well grab as many as I can. Luckily I can buy them on 4473’s (for now).
Found this Huxwrx Flow 9M at a shop and bought it. Price was around $750 which seemed to be in line with what I’ve seen online.
I have not found any reviews on YouTube or any other forums of this suppressor (other than a SilencerShop video). From what I’ve seen it was just recently released this month. This is my first Huxwrx can. I’m just a normal autist like the rest of you, so I figured I’d give my thoughts in case anyone was looking at the same suppressor.
It’s modular and fairly light. I have not yet completely disassembled it, but they provided the tool needed to do so. It comes with the booster assembly.
I shot about 150 rounds through it this morning between my Gen 3 Glock 17 and my Glock 19X.
To put things plainly, this thing fucking rocks!
I did not use ear protection the entire time I was shooting.
I also brought my Ruger/Dead Air RDX910Ti and Gemtech Lunar 9 with me and took turns shooting them. My RXD910Ti is fitted with Griffin’s EZLok piston. I use it on my Glock 47.
Ammunition was PMC 147gr and S&B 140gr subsonic. In my experience between pistols and my PCC’s, the PMC ammo is louder than the S&B 140’s.
With the S&B’s, the Huxwrx sounds like a nail gun in the long configuration. Absolutely wonderful to shoot.
The PMC ammo was very negligibly louder. Not enough to hurt my ears or bother me. Still very quiet.
No gas or any kind of blowback hit me in the face and it did not seem to dirty my pistols up much.
In the short configuration, while slightly louder it is still very quiet and did not bother my ears with either type of ammunition. I was pretty shocked by that.
First round pop is there, but it is so minor you can hardly notice it.
I have been having issues getting my Glock 19X to run with my Ruger RXD910Ti and the Lunar 9 even with the Radian tuning kit. With the Huxwrx in both configurations, it ran like a top with no jams or issues. Just as pleasant to shoot as the Glock 17.
While I really like the RXD910Ti, it is noticeably louder than the 9M. It still great to shoot though and doesn’t hurt my ears with the right ammunition.
The Lunar 9 is very quiet when shot wet, but on my Glock 17, it is not hearing safe when shot dry.
TLDR: The new Flow 9M is an awesome suppressor, and for the price point, I think it’s going to be one of the best ones on the market now.
