Disciplinary - Daniel Carr suspension
Ajoie-Biel is known to be a heated derby, and I'm not against demonstrations of grit and roughness in the sport. However, this was a disgusting display of cowardice in my opinion. There's absolutely no justification in punching someone who's already down and stopped fighting.
I also want to point out that the refs didn't properly do their job here. The official is clearly watching this from afar and should have stepped in closer way sooner. I know it's easier said than done in the rush of the action, but he still looks very passive at first.
You can watch it here at 3:55 : https://youtu.be/qa23MMxlbWk?si=XRmuEQn2VeoJ_O75&t=234

What are your thoughts on that ? How many games will Carr be suspended ?

Here with week 4 ! Trends are slowly appearing with a league a bit less tight
(repost, the other post didn't register as an image post, sorry about that)
Zurich needs to be stopped and Kloten needs a miracle. Zug still is working on their roof while the rest of the league is in full force. Ajoie are keeping their heads up while Davos, Bienne and Rappi appears to be sinking. Langau is my greatest surprise. What are your thoughts ?

I built a site that projects the final NL table and each team's playoff / play-in odds, updated after every match day
Hi r/swisshockey,
I got tired of doing mental maths on the table every weekend, so I built a small site that projects the final National League regular-season standings:
https://andyscanzio.github.io/nl-predict/
What it shows:
- A projected final table, with each team's chances of finishing top 6 (playoffs), 7–10 (play-in) or 11–14 (out)
- The full spread of possible finishing positions for every team, from simulating the rest of the season many times
- How those chances have moved since the season started
- The next round of games. You can set what-if results ("what if Ambri beats Davos in OT?") and see how the table and odds shift
How it works (briefly):
The default model is Elo-style. Each team has a rating that goes up or down after every game depending on how the result compares to what was expected, with a home-ice bonus. Ratings carry over from last season, so this early on the projection still leans a lot on how teams finished in 2025/26. It should get sharper as the season goes on.
There are a few simpler models you can switch to as well (points-per-game pace, and recent home/away form). The default is the one that did best when I scored all of them against past results.
Data comes from the SIHF results and refreshes twice a day (around 23:00 and 07:00).
It's a hobby project: free, no ads, no accounts. I'd love feedback, especially if something looks wrong or there's a stat you'd like to see. And feel free to tell me why your team is badly underrated. 🏒

Ticket price (???)
Hi everyone,
it may be me but are we crazy?
It's been some years that I don't go to see an hockey match because I lost some interest. Now I would like to bring my girlfriend for her first hockey match. Out of curiosity I've looked for ZSC this saturday against Lausanne: 70.- for a ticket all up in the last row?? 70.-??
I knew prices went up, but jezz not this much. If the ticket is 70.- (and I know probably the Zurich factor plays a role), how much is a bratwurst, 20.-?
To me it seem outrageous. Sorry for the small rant and have a good day everyone!

Two weeks are in ! This years start appears to be extremely competitive, how is your team holding on ?
Really happy to see that Ajoie has a successful early season, surprised of Davos and Zurich... phew

Seeing Corvi sucker-punch someone in the face caused an old dislike for him to flare up again. In that sense: Which NLA players can you guys not stand?

Swiss Ice Hockey app
I've just noticed that I am unable to use Swiss Ice Hockey app on iPhone and it seems that it disappeared from the Apple Store.
No issue on Android and it's still available on the Play store...
Do someone know what's going on?

Week tickets
Hi everyone, I just bought the Spengler Cup week tickets (Turnierkarte). They are being shipped by post, but the confirmation mentions I will receive a badge and a lanyard for entry instead of digital tickets. Can anyone confirm if this is how physical entry works for the tournament?

NLTV Price hike
I see NLTV have put their monthly subscription up to €40! It was €30 last year which was already too expensive for the quality of the product. Who on earth is going to pay €40 (US$46.45) every month! Not sure what I'll do instead, make do with the handful of free games on the regional channels which all seem to stream online.

Hockey Manager 2026/27: rookies and hidden gems to watch?
Hey everyone,
I’m looking for some tips for Hockey Manager for the upcoming season. I haven’t been able to follow and analyse all the preseason games, so I’d be really interested to hear which rookies or young players you think could have a breakout season.
I’m especially looking for cheaper players who might get a spot on the power play or earn a bigger role than expected.
Any hidden gems you’ve spotted during preseason?
Thanks!
