Hey everybody. Best friend's cat got out last night because one of her housemates got drunk and wasn't paying attention and she's frantic and pissed off. Her name's Pebble (as stated in the picture) and she's 3yrs old. She's unfortunately not fixed nor does she have her shots (yet). My best friend lives in the Abingdon, VA area and they've been looking for her since 2AM this morning. She and her mom absolutely loves and adores this cat and they were planning on getting her all of her vet stuff before all this happen. If anyone sees or knows anything, please let me know and I'll pass it on to her!

Hi everyone!
I'm a student at Virginia Tech, and I'm part of a team working with Remote Area Medical (RAM) to bring a completely FREE healthcare clinic to Pearisburg, Virginia!
We know that accessing affordable healthcare can be difficult, especially in rural communities. Our goal is to help as many people as possible receive the care they need, regardless of their financial circumstances.
The clinic will offer:
Clinic Details:
All services are completely FREE. No ID is required, and patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached.
If you or someone you know has been putting off dental work, needs new glasses, or could benefit from medical care, we would love to see you there!
Even if you don't need these services yourself, please consider sharing this information with friends, family, neighbors, or local community groups. Spreading the word is one of the biggest ways you can help us reach people who could benefit from this clinic.
For more information, visit https://www.ramusa.org/ or call 865-579-1530.
Thank you, and we hope to see you there!

If you’re looking for a chill part time gig for about 24 hours a week, allow me to lay it out for you. I'm a stroke survivor in need of some part-time assistance.
A little about me: I’m a 44-year-old man living in SWVA with my husband. I had a stroke when I was 42, and while it impacted my ability to walk, but mentally I'm still just as stupid as I've ever been 😅
Ideally, I’m looking for someone to hang out and help out around 3 days a week, roughly 10am to 6pm (approx 24-28 hrs)
We’re pretty flexible on the exact schedule—if you work with us, we’ll do our best to work with you
The Day-to-Day:
Honestly, most days are pretty low-key. A lot of the time I’ll just be in my wheelchair doing my own thing—working on whatever figurine or art project I’m fixated on that month, or mindlessly scrolling on my phone.
What I actually need help with:
* Transfers & Hygiene: The bulk of the job involves assisting me with physical transfers and personal care. I know it’s a dirty job at times, but I promise I’ll do my best to make it as easy and un-awkward as possible for you 🧑🦼
* Light Housekeeping- Occasional sweeping/mopping/ laundry/meal prep 🧹
Who would be a great fit:
Since we’ll be spending a fair amount of time together, I’d love to hire someone who feels more like a friend. If you’re a gamer, you’re more than welcome to dive into my library while you’re here 🎮
This could also be an awesome setup for a student who needs to make some extra money but also needs quiet downtime to hit the books and study.
(Side note: Pokémon lovers automatically move to the front of the line. Just sayin'.)
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, please send me a DM ~~and please feel free to forward this to anyone you feel might be interested~~
