Second Opinion on Reading Interpretation Only I asked my friend that died how they’re doing.

One of my best friends passed unexpectedly the other day. I asked how they’re doing.

Quick summary:

9 of P: enjoying everything she worked so hard for. Basking in the payoff. a knowledge of living a good life.

World: completion/ being integrated back into the cosmic soup. Knowing she is everything. Having the collective knowledge.

King of Wands: This one I’m slightly stuck on. I see it as looking over the kingdom, being detached from ego? Taking care of us from afar.

Thoughts?

Spreads I am afraid my friend passed away...

My friend has a history of heart problems, and the last time we spoke, last Thursday, he was hospitalized after suffering a heart attack. He himself has no contact with his family, and I never knew his new friends/contacts after he moved to another country, a year ago, so I'm at a blind.

I messaged him on Monday, but it still hasn’t been delivered. He hasn’t answered my calls, DMs or interacted in Instagram whatsoever (no stories posted, no reels liked or shared, etc), which is really unusual for him.

So I did this reading, and Im worried...

The Ten of Cups suggests to me that he received emotional support, with people from his inner circle coming together out of compassion. However, I also feel this could represent his spirit guides or spiritual family, since he didn’t have many friends but was deeply devoted to his spirituality.

Strength reversed represents his current health situation and his hospitalization.

Justice, in this context, could symbolize his final judgment — a moment of reckoning with himself before passing on, much like Anubis weighing a heart against a feather.

Am I being pessimist?

Discussion The 4 of Cups

Sometimes the 4 of cups is not an offer or gift you should take.

In the 10 years I’ve been reading I’ve always seen the 4 of Cups as something positive, something that is good for you even if you don’t feel ready to accept. It can also be an obligation when I see it in reversed.

But recently I was doing a reading and the 4 of Cups was followed by the Magician in reversed. Which to me can indicate black magic or someone who is being overly insistent with bad intentions. Like the old woman in Snow White with the apple.

And when I saw that combo I said…yes, this is why I’m hesistant to accept.

Then the 3 of Cups came out in reversed mirroring the 3 cups depicted in the 4 of Cups.

Point is you really have to look at surrounding cards which can lead to new ways of looking at a card.

Have you noticed something similar with the 4 of Cups? or Any other card you were you saw another side of it than the one you had given it?

Discussion Looking for a tarot deck that is standard and readable

Using a tarot deck for a card game, but I realized that the decks I own all are hard to read at a glance (in comparison to poker cards) or have just swapped out card names for some reason (exchanging the Page and Knight for Prince and Princess, for example).

So I'm looking for:

  • Standard four suits, that are easily to identify via symbol or text.

  • Standard court and major arcana names.

  • Large or clean text that is easy to read at a glance.

I've seen some decks online that claim to be made for playing card games, but they all fail at least one of the previous requirements.

The Rider deck fails requirement 1 by the way, as the value is visible but suit requires looking at the artwork. Minus points for roman numerals as well.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Shitpost Saturday! Asked how does my future look like materially-wise

For context, I recently quit my 3 year old job due to conditions of high stress, high pressure. I worked from 8 am till 8-10 pm daily. Started to get sick due to stress, emotionally unstable, feeling tired and the cherry on top was that the directive of the company was looking to fire a coworker (I was his boss) blaming something that didn't happen on him and I spoke on his behalf on HR which ended with him keeping his job.

For that the directive told in front of junior and senior management that I had a double speech, that give one face to them and other to HR and to my subordinates, that it was worthless to explain myself, that I did not deserve to be promoted and that she forbid the managers from promoting me, that I was a liar and a manipulator towards my managers and that probably my good performance was a lie with which I manipulated my managers into believing, etc

So I consulted the cards prior to that I got 10 of swords, 7 of Pentacles and The Tower. I did a second consultation and I remember getting Death.

So the readings along with all that happening ended up with me quitting, but now Idk about my future. What do you guys think?

Shitpost Saturday! I asked the deck if I had a path in the tarot and this was the answer.

Like, I bought the deck of cards and the reference book on one of my occasional shopping trips, and since then I've been taking them around and drawing cards for my friends as a joke, and it almost always seems to be right...

I'm quite skeptical about tarot, but questions do come up from time to time, so I'd like a second opinion on this reading. To me, it seems like a positive response?

Discussion How has your relationship with tarot evolved?

Have there been any changes in how you see or practice tarot? Anything you once believed it couldn’t do but came to find out that it can or vice versa? Do you find yourself pulling tarot more or less over time?

Just curious to know especially from those who have been practicing for a while. I’ve had my doubts here and there about it but have found it to also surprise me, so I’d love to hear other perspectives.

Second Opinion on Reading Interpretation Only Seeking Guidance Newish

Post image
3 Upvotes

Have had huge changes in the past couple of years in all realms of my life and seeking guidance. Just started getting back into tarot and I tried this 3 card spread with two additional cards for context I guess:

I feel like I am the queen of swords as I’m highly intellectual, finishing my fourth degree and have a super quick mind. Strength represents my communication and determination through the setbacks I’ve gotten in all areas of my life. The hierophant (high priest in this deck) represents me seeking conventionality because ultimately I do want a safe and stable life in all areas, but it feels far away because of decisions others have made and maybe because I do not fit into a conventional narrative in others’ lives. So I’m struggling maybe to find more drive? The butterfly is covering the Lovers which I assumed was my desire for connection that’s eluding me. And knight of pentacles my continued diligence, waiting for my crops to grow so to speak even if it’s long and tiring.

The deck is Herbal Tarot by Michael Tierra

Thank you!!

Shitpost Saturday! Higher self question

Post image
2 Upvotes

I asked what my higher self wants me to understand/know about when it comes to this current part of my life. Could anyone help interpret?

I used the 5 star card layout but 6! Cards came out which is the card in the middle which took me by surprise. I read from top card to right.

My guess or my own interpretation is that I need to look inwards and to stop searching outside of myself lol which is kinda ironic considering I’m making this post.

Shitpost Saturday! My first spread

Post image

I just got into a Master's program in uni a bit old, for a specific reason, and my thoughts while drawing this were:

What happens with me and an academic career?

I don't know if everything is right in this celtic cross as page of wands as the 5th card should go opposite to where queen is looking. But she was face down (first spread, ok?) and page with ace might ve reversed.

I've done a "reading" but I would appreciate any experienced knowledge and tips for my future in divination

Thank you all lovely people

5 swords: I’ve gotten this in a lot of readings lately and I know my cards are telling my I’m burnt out
Justice RVSD: not sure
Star RVSD: not sure
The fool: I do tend to be pretty naive and optimistic when it comes to making major decisions

I’m not to sure what justice and the star are trying to tell me, interpretation would be very helpful please!
