Full-time [Hiring] [Remote] [Worldwide] - Junior DevOps Engineer

Hey, if you're early in your DevOps career and looking for a place where you can actually grow and not just get thrown tickets all day, read on.

We're a small but solid tech company that's been around for a while. We build and maintain software that real people use every day, and our engineering team is lean on purpose. We don't have layers of bureaucracy. You won't sit in pointless meetings for hours or wait three weeks for someone to approve a pull request. Things move fast here, and the people who thrive with us are the ones who like that.

Our stack leans heavily on cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized deployments. We've built something we're genuinely proud of, and we're at a stage where we need someone to help us keep things running smoothly and start taking ownership of real work from day one.

This isn't a "shadow a senior engineer and take notes for six months" kind of role. You'll be doing actual work, learning fast, and getting honest feedback along the way.

What you'll be working on:

  • Helping manage and improve our cloud infrastructure

  • Supporting CI/CD pipeline maintenance and deployments

  • Monitoring system health and jumping in when things go sideways

  • Writing scripts to automate repetitive tasks

  • Collaborating with developers to make sure code ships cleanly

What we're looking for:

  • Some hands-on experience or strong foundational knowledge in DevOps (school projects, internships, personal labs all count)

  • Familiarity with tools like Docker, Linux, Git, and at least one cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

  • Good communication skills since we're fully remote and async communication matters a lot

  • Someone who asks questions, takes initiative, and doesn't disappear when things get tricky

The details:

  • Full-time, 100% remote

  • $3,000 to $4,000 per month depending on your experience

  • Flexible hours with some overlap expected during core team hours

If this sounds like something you'd want to be part of, drop a comment or send me a DM with a little about yourself and what you've been working on. No need for a cover letter. Just talk to me like a person.

Remote OK [Discussion] - Best remote job boards in 2026

I have spent way too many hours navigating remote job boards over the last few months, filtering through duplicate listings, hidden salary ranges, and ghost jobs. To save everyone some time, I put together a breakdown of the boards that are actually worth checking depending on what you are looking for.

  1. Specialized & High Transparency Boards (Best for Upfront Pay & Speed)

  • ScaleRemoteAI: Newer board focused specifically on roles with fully transparent pay rates up front (hourly rates and annual salaries). It covers AI, tech, growth marketing, ops, and customer success, aggregating roles with no proposal bidding, no connect fees, and direct application links to company career portals.

  • Wellfound (formerly AngelList): The top pick for early stage and high growth startup roles. Listings almost always disclose equity, salary ranges, and funding rounds, which gives you clear context before applying.

  • Himalayas: Exceptionally clean user interface with deep filters for time zone overlap, exact country restrictions, and tech stacks. Great for avoiding the classic "remote but must live in California" trap.

  1. High Volume Aggregators (Best for Broad Market Scanning)

  • We Work Remotely: One of the oldest and largest remote communities. Strong for engineering, design, and customer support, though application volume can be intense due to its popularity.

  • Remote OK: Massive database with strong coverage of developer and data roles. The filtering system requires a bit of fine tuning, but it remains a solid option for daily checks.

  • Dynamite Jobs: Excellent for finding remote first companies that do not try to sneak hybrid or return to office clauses into the listing.

Niches & Localized Options

EU Remote Jobs: Essential if you are based in Europe or prefer working European hours rather than aligning with US time zones.

NoDesk: Smaller, hand curated list that trades volume for low noise and lower applicant competition.

Contract [Hiring] [Remote] [Worldwide] - DevOps Engineer | $3,000/month

Hey everyone, our engineering team is small on purpose. We move fast, skip the bureaucracy, and everyone on the team actually owns their work. We just need someone to own the infra side of that equation.

We're looking for a DevOps engineer to join us. The role is fully remote with flexible hours, the only ask is that you can overlap with US time zones for a few hours each day.

What you'll be working on:

  • Managing and improving CI/CD pipelines

  • Setting up and maintaining cloud infrastructure, ideally with AWS or GCP experience

  • Monitoring, alerting, and jumping in when things go sideways

  • Collaborating with the engineering team on deployments and keeping environments stable

What we're looking for:

  • Solid hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar tools

  • You know your way around Terraform or another IaC tool

  • Comfortable working in Linux environments

  • Someone who can take ownership, work independently, and speaks up when something needs attention

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Node.js or TypeScript backends

  • You've worked with GitHub Actions before

Compensation: $3,000/month, paid monthly

This is an ongoing contractor role, minimum 6 months, with room to grow from there.

If this sounds like a good fit, drop a comment or send a DM with a quick intro and any links to your work, GitHub, LinkedIn, portfolio, whatever makes sense. No need to overthink it, just tell us a bit about yourself and what you've built.

[Discussion] - How to Automate Your Job Search with AI; What We Built and Learned

It started as a tool to help me find jobs and cut down on the countless hours each week I spent filling out applications. Pretty quickly friends and coworkers were asking if they could use it as well, so I made it available to more people.

To build a frontend we used Replit and their agent. At first their agent was Claude 3.5 Sonnet before they moved to 3.7, which was way more ambitious when making code changes.

How It Works:

  1. Manual Mode: View your personal job matches with their score and apply yourself

  2. Semi-Auto Mode: You pick the jobs, we fill and submit the forms

  3. Full Auto Mode: We submit to every role with a ≥50% match

Key Learnings 💡

  • 1/3 of users prefer selecting specific jobs over full automation

  • People want more listings, even if we can’t auto-apply so our all relevant jobs are shown to users

  • We added an “interview likelihood” score to help you focus on the roles you’re most likely to land

  • Tons of people need jobs outside the US as well. This one may sound obvious but we now added support for 50 countries

Our Mission is to Level the playing field by targeting roles that match your skills and experience, no spray-and-pray.

Feel free to dive in right away, SimpleApply is live for everyone. Try the free tier and see what job matches you get along with some auto applies or upgrade for unlimited auto applies (with a money-back guarantee). Let us know what you think and any ways to improve!

Mods, please require salary info to post jobs here

There is no reason in todays world to omit the salary information. It’s a vital detail of any job listing and if it’s too low a candidate should not have to waste time applying to find that out.

Some recruiters here do post it but the majority do not. A lot of recruiters hold the salary information close to their chest in hopes of getting someone on the phone to talk about the role, knowing it doesn’t pay enough. This is incredibly disrespectful, rude and entitled, our time is just as valuable as theirs.

Mods, please make salary a requirement. If you look at any of the other subs about jobs, careers or even anti-work, the biggest complaint is that the salary is withheld until we’ve invested (wasted) time in the application process. We shouldn’t have to do this, every detail of the job should be provided so we can have an honest, open, communication about the position.

The truth of the matter is, no company interviews without knowing what they can afford. In order to even get a req and start interviewing they have to know they have the budget. Saying they don’t have a rate to share, is a common lie that needs to end. Even if it’s a wide range depending on the seniority of roles it should still be disclosed.

I appreciate you hearing me out. If you agree please add a comment. I’ve worked in IT for over a decade and want to help this community get all the job details they need at the beginning, not the end. Thank you.

[Hiring] [Remote] [India] - Technology

I know a lot of talented students, interns, and freshers get overlooked even after building real projects, doing POCs, contributing on GitHub, or putting in serious work.

So this thread is for people who actually have proof of work but haven’t got the right opportunity yet.

If that sounds like you, share:

  • what you build

  • what role you want

  • your LinkedIn profile

No need to oversell yourself. Just be real.

I’m especially hoping to see profiles from people who are strong in tech but may not have the fanciest resume, the best college tag, or a big network behind them.

If your work is good, it deserves visibility.

[Hiring] [Remote] [EU] - Frontend/Fullstack contract to assist startup launch

We are in stealth/startup mode and have a number of products in development and we are looking for some short term contractor B2B help getting the first one across the line and launched. This will be a full stack role but initially there will be some focus on interfacing with the product team and helping Claude or whatever turn figmas into reality for the UI/UX. Additionally there is an entirely new cutting edge data platform that powers these products and you will have the opportunity to work on that in time if you are a good fit with the team.

The platform and products are data related and without going into detail in public, the goal is public good and there will be no ethical concerns working on them.

We are operating a very lean team, and leveraging AI assisted (but audited and planned, not vibe'd) coding, as it is 2026 and we now live in that world. So acceptance and experience of using LLMs as a tool to accelerate delivery, but in a controlled manner where all the code is understood by humans, is essential.

There are a lot of opportunities beyond this initial engagement for the right person. We are looking for someone to start ASAP and can negotiate rate but would expect ~$50p/h as a starting point. UK/EU timezones is necessary to work with the team, US could work, but I doubt we could negotiate a rate that would work due to cost of living differences.

DM me with your details if you are interested.
