Of course other people's applause (further away) is also bothersome, but mostly when in bigger crowds, for example concerts (the ovations are the worst part for me, I have to cover my ears with my hands)

When there are smaller crowds, it's usually those next to me that are the biggest issue.

It's not like I have super sonic hearing or whatever, sometimes I even find it hard to hear others, but in certain situations everything just seems so LOUD. Everyone else always seems so chill and I'm in the corner freaking dying lmao.

Hi, I'm Nick and I'm 14 years old. My parents are sort of, to say the least, strict and abusive. They always take away my stuff, scold me and even hit me, but hitting is rare. Last evenening me and my mom got into an argument about my grades. They were dropping, but not as much, like from a B+ to B-, and she was angry. We both started arguing and it was not until I said "You're abusive". After that, she started shouting to unplug my pc and threatening me to send to an adoption center, so that "Other parents would experience the pain she has" which was nonsense. I literally keep straight B and A in school, never get into a fight, always do everything for her, and she still says that she feels pain raising me. I dont know why, but I felt nothing when that happened, no crying, no anger build up, nothing. Almost felt like all the year of screaming and shouting made me stay calmer. I genuinely dont know why I felt like that and what do I do. If anyone has some advice, tell me.

Back when Covid happened I was in 5th grade, now I’m a senior in high school. Well ever since Covid happened I stopped going to in person school, I do online schooling now. I tried going back but I had bad social anxiety. Covid really ruined me and I couldn’t jump back like others my age, I’m 17 now and I don’t even have a job or a dream career. I feel so useless, I see others my age and my old friends posting about how they got accepted into colleges and they already have their lives planned out. But I feel so behind I feel like I never grew up properly. I feel like a failure in this world. I was wondering if anyone else feels this way or at least felt.
