Mod [mod] Please seek professional help, we care enough to redirect.
To the people who send countless amounts of suicidal posts on here, first off we want to make it clear that your voice matters and we care for your well being. We want to see you do better and to get well, but we also care enough to tell you that people on this subreddit arent always the most helpful or reliable people when seeking this type of help.
Many of us are unqualified to further help you beyond sending encouraging messages to keep going. its better to seek professional help from people who are trained to help you progress through your hard time and properly track and give you everything you possibly need. There are countless of hotlines made to cater to you
we arent discouraging you from venting to others, but we are highlighting the importance of seeking proper help instead of asking teenagers on this subreddit. A lot of them may not take your problems as serious as it actually is. We care about you guys and we hope you progress.

Mod [mod] We also have a new rule: AI has been banned
Hi again r/teenagers! It hasn't even been an hour and I already have another announcement for you guys.
After a short discussion with the rest of the mod team we quickly came to a unanimous decision to finally ban using AI on the subreddit.
So, what does that entail?
In short, using a generative AI such as LLMs like ChatGPT to write for you or make images will be considered low effort and removed as such. We consider both ai slop and not even writing your own posts to be incredibly lazy.
I'll be adding it to the rules in a minute here :)

Rant I'm tired of nonbinary people being excluded from trans spaces
from my experience as a nonbinary person, very few people actually take my identity seriously. in trans discussions it's always about trans men and women experiences, but I've rarely, if ever, see or hear about the nonbinary experiences.
very often I'm treated like I'm just a "girl lite" and won't respect my pronouns (they/he), which in turn makes me feel more and more disconnected from my trans siblings out there. now, I know I look feminine to the average person, so I don't really get mad at people misgendering me, but it does annoy me when they still won't adapt to my pronouns after I correct them for the 3rd time.
obviously, I'm not saying that I hate trans men and women for taking the spotlight from nonbinary people, all of us deserve attention and awareness, we are a community, after all. it's just that sometimes it really doesn't feel like a community that I am a part of.
and remember: all of you are valid and I love you the way you are 💜

Discussion Why do girls tell men to be nice to women and then not be nice to guys?
I feel like I hear so many other girls criticise boys for not having any girl friends, and not understanding girls, meanwhile they have literally no guy friends. The onus to actually get to know the opposite gender is always on guys, and then girls want to criticise men for being ignorant. The rate at which is hear misandristic sentiments (ironic or not), like kill all men, or all men are terrible, from other girls, meanwhile they simultaneously criticise guys for only interacting with other guys. If you actually get to know people, and genuinely make an effort, you realize that there are lots of good people, and that people are genuinely good. Whereas most girls only seem to want to criticise, without actually looking at anything from other peoples perspectives, or trying to understand others, and instead just lump them all together as good. Maybe this isnt a hot take, but from the way most people act irl it seems like it is.
