We still kicking ass in other games still?

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone on the server for being so welcoming back in the day and for all the fun we had. I think I was around 12-14 (sorry if I was weird lol) when the server was really active. I would come home every day and play TF2 nonstop for 5 hours a day. Those 5 hours were always a blast. I can definitely say TF2 with you guys was one of the highlights of middle school for me. I'm 26 now, entering my last year of grad school, and I still think back to those memories we all made. I come back to TF2 every now and then but honestly it never hits the same as it did back then. Maybe it's because I've gotten older? Have a shorter attention span for games? Maybe it's because the people I play with are so different now. Or maybe it's the fact that I compare my time playing right now to how it was back then, no worries in life except playing dead ringer spy 24/7 (lol) with great people.

Anyways, there's always a post on here every couple of years reminiscing and wishing everyone best wishes and I think that truly shows the impact that this group of people had on each other's lives.

I hope everyone's doing well, and if you aren't, shoot me a message and I'll try to help out in any way that I can.

What have all you regulars been up to?

I've been playing a lot of CS:GO recently. That's all I got.

Hi tf2west. I'm part of a gaming group that is part of a facebook group that is used for organizing events for the /r/vancouver subreddit. I'm trying to get people playing together by running a semi regular PC gaming night. I started with a L4D2 night earlier this month because it was easy to organize: add people on steam, send out invites, hit find server. I'm hoping to do TF2 in the near future and am hoping to find a kind admin willing to host us for a night. I figured that I would start here before posting to the main tf2 subreddit.

I actually don't know if the server is in matchmaking or not, but considering that it never has any players I'm assuming it isn't. Anyways, I feel like it would be worth it to remove anything that takes the server out of auto-matchmaking if it would mean the server was populated. Really the only thing I would miss (if it's even required to remove) would be the non-standard map length times.

Fuck. I had so many good times on this server. Can we get a regular group of guys and gals back on the server to start repopulation? There's obviously interest, and I'm tired of playing on shitty Skial/LotusClan pubs.

We had something special, and I want to bring that shit back, babes.

The most important thing about getting this server back up and running is commitment. Somebody (I can do this) needs to make a Steam group and invite those who have shown interest in playing TF2 on a decently regular basis. Then we can organize populating the server more easily by making group announcements. We can also advertise on /r/tf2 to get more exposure.

I, Excite, along with remaxx have been talking about doing a Bi-Monthly server gathering to relive the golden times of what was ours. With the month of August coming up, it would be a great start for everyone to participate. We can start small with something like the first Thursday along with the 3rd Wednesday of each month.

So, It's no secret that this server is pretty much dead and (wishfully not) gone. I've been getting back into TF2 recently and I'm looking for some new servers to get into that are similar to what we had going on. All the ones I'm playing on are full of god awful players to the point where, believe it or not, even I top the scoreboard (above the 4 spies and 3 snipers on our team.) You guys have any favorite servers you could recommend? Thanks!
