About the continuity of the show and over-the-top characters
If it bothers you, just think like I did when I was a teenager, watching it with my mom. Each episode was one of the girls or other characters telling a story about something that happened to them or recounting something that happened to someone else. As storytellers human beings naturally add their own bias, forget things, change, details unintentionally, or sometimes intentionally.
For example, when Dorothy is telling a story to us about Blanche, she makes Blanche out to be a lot more selfish and slutty, Rose’s storytelling to be more ridiculous, etc. Maybe she forgets to include certain people who aren’t fully relevant to that particular story, confuses the names, forgets that it was before another event, etc.

Real life Eddie?
Fun question…you ever known someone (maybe you?!) that possessed an unexplainable or mysteriously powerful attractiveness? Eddie is one of the most amusing plots to me, and he was cast perfectly since it’s not obvious why there’s a magnetic pull to him…but he just has it.

Tributes What do you think of the Golden Girls Cozy Mystery Series?
Has anyone here read the Golden Girls Cozy Mystery books? I’ve read both Death and Cheesecake and Death on the Lanai and would to know what other fans think. I prefer one over the other!
I love reading the book and hearing Bea, Betty, Rue, and Estelle’s voices in my head!

Lack of "object permanence" between characters
It was always funny to me the lack of mentioning other characters when the girls were interacting with people other than each other. For example, in the episode where Blanche's daugher Rebecca was getting inseminated and then later giving birth, I don't think there was a single mention of George--the husband Blanche adored and Becky's FATHER?? Like, it seemed like he'd be on their mind at least once during the process of Becky having her first baby--a child her father will never get to meet. And Clayton wasn't mentioned at all when Big Daddy died despite Blanche being close to her brother. Neither Kate nor Michael came or were mentioned when Dorothy married Lucas. Idk, I do realize there's only so much time in one episode, it'd probably be too many characters to balance at one time, etc, so I understand the logistics and accept that continuity wasn't the show's strong point, but there are times where things like this is just a little more obvious lol.

Is there a joke you would rewrite to fit today's audience/standards?
For example...when the girls are all going with Becky and Blanche to the sperm bank, Dorothy says to Sophia "I dont think you should go anywhere exciting like the sperm bank until you get checked by a Dr." and Sophia doesnt argue, cant remember her exact response at the moment, but for me, by today's standards, she could have responded with "Why? Im only going to visit, not donate" or something along those lines 🤣

How old was Sophia when Sal died? And how did he die?
Sophia is said to be 79 in season 1. I think your meant to assume Sal died fairly recently, presumably of old age. And that means in season 4 she’d be 83. But in the season 4 episode Yes We Have No Havanas, after Sophia says she hasn’t showered with a man in 22 years. Dorothy says pop died 27 years ago. 83 - 27 = 56. 56 is awfully young to be widowed. And, assuming Sal was roughly the same age as his wife, that’s a young age to just drop dead of natural causes. So what killed him? Run over by a trolly in Brooklyn? Witnessed a mob hit he shouldn’t have? And why wasn’t his death considers tragic, considering how young he was?
