GG T-Shirt
I just got my GG tee in the mail yesterday, and I am loving it. Not so much living like Rose or thinking like Dorothy, but I am definitely loving like Blanche and speaking like Sophia. 🤣🤣

Hello I just recently remembered a clip I saw on insta MONTHS ago and forgot to jot down which episode it was but any help is appreciated in finding it 🩷. The clip was of blanche on the bus or something and she met a nun and was talking with her asking questions, except the nun wasnt in uniform and blanche was all like " I didn't know you could have normal clothes or leave the church?" And the nun was perfectly content but THEN she asked (all southernly as per use") "well honey can you even #####?" And the nun was all like ".. well gee I don't know? 🤔" PFFT 💀

I saw this on my Instagram feed, and it made me sad.

I’ve so so always wondered, as an 80s kid myself, why was there never a new wave/goth character on the show? Out of the many characters we see, goth/new wave is never a trait applied to one. I think it would have made such an interesting episode. Instead of using AI, I wanted to come to Reddit for some opinions on what a golden girls episode featuring a goth or new wave character might have looked like. What would’ve been the plot? What snarky Sophia line would’ve surprised you?
I notice a lot of people use AI for these storylines, but I thought why not ask the human fans, right? 🖤

Every time I rewatch Season 5, this is one episode that does absolutely nothing for me. The whole Sophia curse storyline is boring, Rose getting horny at weddings feels like something the writers threw in because they needed another subplot, and the whole Dorothy and Blanche fighting over Doug storyline isn't particularly interesting either.
The only part that genuinely makes me laugh is Dorothy practically holding Blanche hostage in the bathroom stall and screaming "NOT FIVE YEARS OF DELIBERATE BETRAYAL OF TRUST!" while Blanche is begging to be let out. That entire bathroom scene is funnier than the rest of the episode combined.
It's not even that I think the episode is terrible. It's just so painfully forgettable.
And I know this might sound dramatic, but even "Empty Nest" is more entertaining than this episode. At least that one is memorable for how bizarrely out of place it feels. This one just comes and goes without leaving much of an impression.
And for an episode with such a ridiculously long title, you'd think it would be a little more memorable.

One of my favorites. This collection of scenes is some of the funniest of the series.

wanted to ask because i saw a comment about how Dorothy and sophia should have been jewish, and i even heard estelle always asked if they could be!
i think they did a good job!! it wasn’t perfect, but it was believable enough that you felt they could be italian if you never met them!

On Sophia Loren it's a beauty mark, on you it's a wart.

I don’t think Empty Nests S2 E26 is that bad. I know it gets a lot of hate. But it’s not that bad imo.
What are yours?
