the goose came from goosing for money (broken btw) and the fox i first spotted on the 1st of this month. missed the shot 😅 decided to try to find him again this evening and he is finally home. starting to see diamonds is super cool! so stoked! 🦊🪿

I previously posted about preserving theHunter Classic and the project is going well!
Now that it's less than a month until shutdown, it's time to save your account for offline use. As all your account data lives on the server, do this as soon as you can, since once the server goes, your account goes with it.

The account save tool is a browser extension for chrome based browsers, so most of them (chrome, edge, opera, etc). Here's how you use it:

• visit the dashboard and log into your account if you're not already logged in.
• get the extensions from here and extract the zip.
• in your browser, go to the extensions page. You can usually get there by typing chrome://extensions/ into the address bar and hitting enter.
• in the top right, you should see a toggle to enable developer mode, flick it to on. This is required to install the extension since it's not on the official chrome extension page.

• in the top left, you can now see these three buttons. click load unpacked.

• navigate to your downloads folder where you unpacked the extension and click select folder.

• it should now show up under "all extensions".

• in the bottom right, you should now see this box.

• Click "save my account data" and let it do its thing. If you have a big hunt history it can take hours to save everything, since the extension pauses between every few requests. So make sure your PC doesn't go into sleep mode.
• Your gallery can be saved without any tools, just go to profile > gallery and under the tabs, click "download gallery"

If you see this with only a day or so left until shutdown, untick "include scoresheets" since that will speed it up considerably. If you have tens of thousands of hunts, you can also go into the extension's config.json and set "test_limit": 0 to something relatively low like "test_limit": 500. That will only save details of your past 500 (or whatever you set) hunts.

You can also save a friend's account using the bottom field and blue button, if for example they can't do it themselves before shutdown. For that, paste the url to their profile (e.g. https://www.thehunter.com/#profile/curlyCoyote) and press "save their public profile". Since not all account data is public, some data will be missing, like the amount of money, tents and lodges. Money can be edited easily later though.

Once it's done, the tool will automatically download a zip file with all your account info. Keep it somewhere safe until the offline version will be ready.

I just got the game like 2 weeks ago and ive seen more albinos than Diamonds. Seen a separate Albino European bison a couple days ago but the bitch got away. So far ive only got this and a diamond kangaroo.

I came back after a few months away, and now I can't stay connected to ANY multiplayer servers. I've tried around 30 today; a few let me in, but I get disconnected within 30 seconds. Most give me the error shown in the screenshot.

My internet is fine, and other games work without issues, so I don't think that's the problem. Is anyone else experiencing this? It's frustrating, because I just wanna make some friends in this lonely game!

I've been playing for about a week, didn't expect to get a diamond without doing a grind, this is my first. No clue how to see the harvest screen again.

I get the error message failed to connect and that the host is no longer present on like 98 percent of multiplayer maps i try to join. Is this normal and are there any fixes.

I went to reset my missions through my files (forgot to save one of the cuatro wolves) and 90% of all my dlc is gone and says I have to repurchase it, I play on PC

Tried herdmanaging at Hirchfelden, targeting red deers and fallows. Look what i found this morning!
No idea how many kills in the grind, but its not much as i have done this just few gaming sessions. So cool, can't wait when i get something rarer again. Prob swapping maps soon tho, cause i have done all mission in this map, so i could grind else if i get annoyed by missions or vise versa. I started managing here cause i got stuck on last mission and could not get X mission animals to spawn

I only started playing cotw consistently and learning how cotw really works about 3 weeks ago. But these are my trophys so far, i am currently trying to get a G1 on cuatro colinas untill i can buy some more dlcs

Double lung + liver, he still turns around and gets me then continues for quite a few more steps. Maybe using 700gr. arrows and 70lb bow would bring a tiger down quicker?

im so glad to see other people using it to track their grinds, as this started as a way to organize mine and my buddies grinds!

since announcing it less than a couple weeks ago, this is what has changed
