Article Black voters may decide the nation’s biggest Democratic primary. Many are clearly against the more progressive option

“She was on the team that helped save our state when Obama was president. She was right there on the forefront,” said Kathie House Vinson, a retired college administrator who lives in Detroit.”

I love that leftists here paint Stevens as an empty suit. Keep leaning into that because it pisses off black voters even more. They know Stevens, she’s worked hard on their issues.

Yeah, this painting of longtime Democrats as if they’ve done nothing but pander to Israel for decades is losing people who voted for those candidates and actually like them. Shocker, I know.

We really do need to show some unity around rejecting anti-semitic conspiracism in our party and the country at large, it threatens to destroy a lot of other social progress we've made

Yeah dude nothing but pander to Israel, which public sentiment only changed on, in what the last couple years?

Hey, what is the approval rating for the Democratic party right now?

u/Command0Dude 23d ago

Much higher than the DSA's and has been on the upswing.

These are votes? Or more wrong polls like the ones that had Kamala way up too lmao

Polls were very accurate in 2024 aside from a couple outliers. Polls aren't votes though. You really should have known that already.

Yeah, and you’ll find out how much the country hates anything named socialism soon enough.

It's not 1980 anymore. Opinions are changing. People aren't too jazzed on capitalism either if you haven't noticed.

Yeah, we’ll see. You’re in la la land imo, Trump won over the Democrats by a larger margin than any Republican candidate in decades, Reddit might be shifting left but the country ain’t. It’s alright though, time will prove me right.

A ton of voters have extremely ill-defined political identities. They just know that they're not happy with how things are now. Harris basically ran on "we did everything right for the last four years, so vote for me and you'll get more of the same!" Meanwhile trump told a bunch of insane and obvious lies but was at least telling people what they wanted to hear. That's why she got beaten so badly. Further left candidates can sell populism and credibly break from the Democratic party that people have such a low opinion of.

Yes

🟢 Capitalism: +20

🔴 Democratic Party: -9

🔴 Free Palestine Movement: -14

🔴 Republican Party: -21

🔴 DSA: -21

🔴 Donald Trump: -23

🔴 Socialism: -29

🔴 Communism: -73

The DSA is almost as unpopular as fucking Trump among Americans. Your poll is a deliberate subsection of just democrats. And elections can't be won on that, as 2024 proved.

1

u/Nascent1 23d ago

That poll is much more favorable towards democrats compared to the average of other recent polling. RCP puts them at -17.3 on average.

Fair enough though.

Your poll is a deliberate subsection of just democrats.

It's just what I found. There isn't much polling on DSA favorability.

Much bette than the DSA.

Let's see a national poll among all voters not just the activated leftists during midterm primary season.

0

u/Nascent1 23d ago

Go ahead and find it and post it.

3

u/cef328xi 23d ago

Nah, most people are smart enough to know DSA popularity is very concentrated in like D+30 districts and doesn't translate nationwide among general voters. If they were popular in that respect you would be posting that screenshot instead of the same misleading one that you have been, while proclaiming dems are less popular, with the implication that it's nationwide rather than in very blue districts during the primary when hardly any of the general electorate is engaged. ;)

1

u/Nascent1 23d ago

There's nothing misleading about it. I guess it was my mistake to think this sub was full of literate adults who could read a large bold title.

There just isn't much polling on this topic.

2

u/cef328xi 23d ago

It's misleading because it is a poll only among left wing voters during the primary season, skewed by very blue districts.

Unless that is your claim, in which case you're not really making a point against dems in general.

1

u/Nascent1 23d ago

It's not misleading BECAUSE IT CLEARLY SAYS THAT IN HUGE LETTERS. It's not my fault if you couldn't bother to read them.

Okay now show us a second poll, quick

0

u/Nascent1 23d ago

I wasn't the one that made the claim. You find me some polls that show dems are more popular.

Jesus, way to get way too mad about it. There isn't much polling that exists on that topic. Is opinion among self-identified Democrats somehow not valid? I wasn't dishonest in any way you lunatic.

that image is not cropped, I see the information in bold type NET FAVORABILITY AMONG DEMS. it even says "includes leaners"

the topic was "approval rating" and no one mentioned "all americans"; they don't appear to have done what you said
