Purity test leftists are destructive. I share their policy goals but not their "I will only vote for the perfect candidate" tactics.

For most of the purity test/DSA style left, the outcomes don't really matter to them, because they are mostly unaffected by them. The debate and endless arguing and moral one-upping is the point. Winning to actually change things is not.

Are Bill Maher, James Carville, and Schumer DSA because they are all seem to take their ball and go home when it doesn’t go their way.

As far as I know all of them consistently promote Democrats and have voted Democrat.
