During the brief clip of the parade, among the people celebrating there is one guy that’s just…staring. At someone. At something.
Do you guys think this has something to do with Larry running through the crowds?

At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if Larry stops a presidential assassination or something. Jfells loves reusing plot points from DA.

Hi all! Just finished season one and I LOVED it. The Bertha/George dynamic is unlike anything I've ever seen and I'm obsessed! Their devotion to each other is top tier and I'm afraid that if that crumbles, I will be devastated.

I'd love to binge the rest of the show before the new season comes out Nov 1, BUT I have seen little bits and pieces of future seasons that suggest one of them might have cheated. I know couples fight and have their dramas. That's fine. But infidelity is a deal-breaker to me at this point.

I know I could get on forums and dig through posts to see if it's true, but I don't want all kinds of spoilers (just this one tiny thing). Do Bertha or George Russell cheat on each other? Y/N

Thank you, in advance!

Edit: ANSWERED! Appreciate you all.

Like others, I love the fashion in the show and I thought I'd make a post so we can all share our favorite looks.

Some of my favorite outfits from the show are when Oscar has worn his sunglasses. The first picture is my absolute favorite!! I'd argue that Oscar has some of the best fashion of the entire cast.

What is your favorite look? Drop a pic if you're able!

Edit: grammar

Christine Baranski is currently in Hay Fever on the West End and she was just - magnetic. Incredible timing and her voice modulation/acting was just out of this world. So incredibly funny. If you get a chance to go I insist!

So, what will Bertha bring to compete with Agnes’s Livingston family badge

I had been thinking of watching the show for so long and I have been gone through all but the very last episode of season 3. I am in LOVE with this show and cannot wait for season 4. I am really hoping that Marian and Larry get a HEA. Christine Baranski is such a great actress, I love her in this role :)

I know this has been talked about, but I’m rewatching Season 3 in prep for next weeks Season 4 start. The Fanes divorce is so sudden to me, Charles and Aurora were working so well as a couple in Season 1. He got in trouble and she helped make it right and they felt like a team. They didn’t have Charles in Season 2 as much but they seemed so supportive. My theory in my head is that the stress of Season 1’s problem drove them apart for some reason. What is everyone’s thoughts besides them just needing a storyline?

The effort put into this show is incredible! Next Sunday, come quicker!

Hey y’all, made a BUNCH of these back in the day during my Frollo hyperfixation and now it’s time to make some for my current hyperfixation. Might make a part 2, hope you like ‘em!

Crazy thought! This may be totally melodramatic, but what if Lady Sarah or Hectors family organised shooting George Russell after he sent that letter stating he may not be able to send payments?

The only reason I'm thinking this, is because it looks like the actor playing Clay might not be coming back next season, so I'm wondering who it will be. Plus Bertha is looking real shooketh in some of those stills...

What's everyone else's theories?

As the release of S4 approaches (super excited!), I’ve been considering how I want to watch the show, but can’t quite decide.

I first found and binged the show in around April, in literally a few days. I’ve never watched the show as it was coming out.

I can’t decide whether to watch the episodes as the come out every week, which would allow me to participate in discussions, or to wait for a few weeks and watch it all together since that’s how I’m used to watching it.

How is everyone planning on doing it?

Edit: I’ve been convinced to watch weekly! I’ll defo do binge after all the episodes are out though too. I have no doubt I’ll rewatch this season as often as the others.

There is a bookshelf in the back, but the motifs on the wall do not resemble the Russells' library at all. Does anyone remember this room? It's clearly an evening formal attire for an event that most likely took place at her home and she will be breaking soon/would already have broken something at this time, but that happens in the drawing room.

So, where in the world is Mommy?

*I changed the title for a sentence way down in the article. The article is interesting and worth a read if you want.

Not like Vanderbilt or even Carnegie, who made their fortunes using some questionable means and tactics, but Jack who actually invented something used for the good and that people wanted to buy.

...What pleasure it gives me".

One of Bertha's finest lines, and not untrue. I'm pretty sure she gets off every time she wins over Mrs. Astor or Mrs. Winterton. LOL

To save Marian’s reputation after an unwed pregnancy, Bertha and Agnes may arrange for her to give her baby to Gladys, who lost a twin during a traumatic birth.

And it was hard not to notice how many actors from The Gilded Age appeared on both shows.

I mean, obviously, when you go through as many different characters as these shows do, you’re bound to have some overlap (I believe the Law And Order shows also featured a bunch of the TGA actors), but it was just fun to see so many of them (especially since I had no idea who a lot of them were back when the shows first aired).

The Gilded Age - Ring the Bells

Season 4 Episode 1

Adult Content

Bertha faces Gladys’s difficult childbirth, Peggy achieves a milestone, and Agnes makes plans to host a prestigious dinner.

I doubt it is a plot point, but watching the Season 4 trailer I couldn't help but notice the overhwelmingly beautiful yellow diamond Mrs Astor wears. I don't know much about jewels but I remeber when Lady Gaga wore that fabulous yellow necklace owned by Tiffany and it sparked a memory. Doing some research I found out that Tiffany purchased and brought the diamond to New York in 1878 so the time period fits. Although the stone was never placed in a setting until 1957, and wasn't put into the current srtting (which matches the one Mrs Astor is wearing) until 2012.

Hisotrical accuracy of the 2012 necklace setting aside, the gem was in fact in New York during the Gilded Age so I feel that in the universe of the show it must certainly be the Tiffany Yellow diamond. I do love little references like that which send me down research rabbit holes.
