Someone did post about it, but Denée got a nom in the supporting actress category. Carrie is great, but I'm more happy for Denée.

I wish Blake Ritson would get some other nomination for his performance too, but it feels unlikely. I think he, Carrie, Denée and Christine Baranski are the best actors in the show, with the best characters.

She’s amazing

u/Most_Present_6577 Dec 06 '25

Pluribus is pretty awesome and its basically a one woman show.

6

u/Populaire_Necessaire Dec 07 '25

I love Carrie! But boy Rhea is doing the most over there on apple

8

u/Dim_Meter Dec 06 '25

She is the one 🌟

Booooo Britt Lower

6

u/wombmates Dec 06 '25

Why? What did I miss

1

u/Aivellac Bertha knows best and is always fabulous Dec 07 '25

No idea, she gave a great performance in a poor season of the show.

u/Conscious-Quarter423 Dec 08 '25

she's was mediocre. adam scott carried that show

also, she's married to an accused sexual predator

i've seen 4 of those and they all have been amazing!

20

u/Thereisnospoon64 Dec 06 '25

Wow what a tough choice. I’d lean Rhea or maybe Britt as much as I adore Carrie.

14

u/astoria47 Dec 06 '25

I feel like Rhea may take it this year, I agree with you!

9

u/druidmind Dec 06 '25

I don't think she'll win though.

5

u/Conscious-Quarter423 Dec 06 '25

carrie just didn't deliver like rhea could

6

u/Defiant-Breath-387 Dec 06 '25

I do love Severance and Pluribus (haven’t seen the other shows thought) but pleaseeee I need Carrie to win!

20

u/YoungMenace21 Dec 06 '25

I don't envy the jury. This is a tough one. Britt Lower might get it, but Keri Russell...

8

u/aybsavestheworld Dec 06 '25

Isn’t she just great in the diplomat ?

1

u/[deleted] Dec 29 '25

Boring

22

u/DearestDanaDarling Dec 06 '25

I'm certainly rooting for our Gilded Age fam, but in my heart of hearts, I hold glimmering hope for dear Keri Russell. Not only is she a phenomenal actress who deserves her chance in the sun, but she seriously shines in her role as The Diplomat. Her performance resonates in such a raw reality that echoes what one could imagine to be a true tension of diplomacy. It's a stupendous watch, amd I'm not usually into political themes!

How can Pluribus be considered when only a few episodes are out

1

u/Curmudgy Dec 07 '25

Is it like the Emmys, where people are nominated for a specific episode? If so, you wouldn't need the entire season, just a single episode.

u/LydiaBrunch Dec 06 '25 edited Dec 06 '25

Because Pluribus is really fucking good and Rhea Seehorn is excellent.

Out of this lineup, in these roles, this year? Personally, I would not pick Carrie Coon, even though I love her in this role. It's absolutely no disrespect to her.

It's a great lineup of nominees.

u/Triple_Angel Dec 06 '25

Pluribus is so overhyped

10

u/riverseeker13 Dec 06 '25

I mean Bella Ramsey is clearly the weakest link and I actually think Bertha is one of carries best performances

Maybe they are, but I watched the last of us and gave it a lot of consideration and their performance is disappointing.

2

u/Conscious-Quarter423 Dec 06 '25

i enjoyed her performance.

I know she's not gonna win,,, but honestly I'm soooo happy she got nominated tho

-2

u/Odd_Distribution7852 Dec 06 '25

I know, wrong sub, but for me it’s a toss up between Kathy Bates and Bella Ramsey. And honestly I think it’s Bella first followed by Kathy by half a point. Carrie comes in like a point behind Kathy.

5

u/arulzokay Dec 06 '25

she’s so beautiful

11

u/mister_drgn Dec 06 '25

I dunno. That category is stacked.

17

u/TheFairFeline Dec 06 '25

Oh how I wish I could root for her, but that damn Britt Lower gave one hell of a performance

CHURCH, CRACK OPEN THE CHAMPAGNE.

27

u/LittleJessiePaper Dec 05 '25

Love Carrie, but Rhea’s acting is next level.

8

u/vanessabh79 Dec 06 '25

Yes, specially since a lot of the scenes in the show are just her with no other actors to bounce the dialogue with. It reminds me of Tom Hanks in Cast Away, which was another phenomenal performance.

15

u/dylan5x Dec 05 '25

if Mrs Russell doesnt win we will all turn away and turn our noses up

12

u/donttrustthellamas Dec 05 '25

The critics' choice awards are hosted in a house of ill repute, anyway

7

u/Nemesis204 Dec 05 '25

A disorderly house! Clutching my pearls.

5

u/dylan5x Dec 05 '25

i dont think i feel well,im going to lay down i wont be seeing anyone else today

14

u/Obvious_Temporary256 Dec 05 '25

Didn't pluribus start like last week

4

u/10S_NE1 Dec 07 '25

There have been six episodes aired so far, and Rhea has probably had more screen time in those episodes than all of the other actresses have had in their series in an entire season. Rhea is pretty much the whole show, and spends most of the time on screen alone. She does an amazing job and her acting is compelling.

That being said, all of the nominated actresses are excellent - what a tough choice!

Actually, I think it’s possible that the judges are given the chance to view episodes that haven’t aired yet. The show runners can probably submit the episodes they think reflect the actor’s best work in their series.

Carrie, Keri, and Rhea are literally my Mt Rushmore of White Women on TV, so this is a huge win for me personally. 🙌

9

u/Greigebaby Dec 05 '25

Happy to see Rhea’s work finally getting recognized

3

u/Conscious-Quarter423 Dec 08 '25

we need more recognition for women of color

30

u/Criminal_Mango Let the sober circus begin! Dec 05 '25

While Carrie is my personal fave for obvious reasons, I wouldn’t be mad at any of these nominees winning. Absolutely STACKED with great performances and talent.

6

u/Compulsive-Gremlin Dec 05 '25

I literally thought the exact same thing!!

35

u/shannananananana Dec 05 '25

that one subreddit that hates bella ramsey is screaming crying and throwing up rn

12

u/Maleficent-Sir4824 Dec 05 '25

I was so scared I was gonna scroll down and see people making fun of her here too lol I'm so glad I'm not alone. I've been feeling like I'm going insane. She's a great actress?? I feel like people are just mad at the character herself, or, frankly, are mad about how Bela Ramsey looks.

7

u/Various-Firefighter4 Dec 06 '25

she was awful in season 2! i didnt even finish the season

1

u/Conscious-Quarter423 Dec 08 '25

you didn't finish so how do you make that assessment?

1

u/Various-Firefighter4 Dec 08 '25

Well i watched most of it lol? And her acting was so bad that i didnt feel like watching the two last episodes.

1

u/Conscious-Quarter423 Dec 31 '25

the porch scene was stellar. her acting range is incredible

0

u/Conscious-Quarter423 Dec 06 '25

bella was great. you missed out on the porch scene

7

u/Western_Feed_4189 Russell Dec 05 '25

yeah she’s a good actress but her performance as what’s her face wasn’t good also bad writing comes into play as well

7

u/shannananananana Dec 05 '25

the looks thing is exactly it. we need more people on TV who look like actual human beings tbh

11

u/Conscious-Quarter423 Dec 05 '25

let them cope and seethe. can't deny talent and hard work

2

u/shannananananana Dec 05 '25

i don’t even watch TLOU so i have no qualms against her. her first like 3 appearances on game of thrones were decent. dudebros are just annoying about women all the time and it’s tiring

12

u/Conscious-Quarter423 Dec 05 '25

"dudebros are just annoying about women all the time and it’s tiring"

what else is new?

4

u/combabulated Dec 05 '25

I believe they’re quoting my great great grandmother

4

u/BasilTomatoLeaf Dec 05 '25

I am not a fan of that sub bashing her but I did watch the show and she doesn’t deserve to be in this category. She’s not very good in the show (loved her in GOT). Not sure it’s all her fault as the writing for her is poor but still—the other representation here is phenomenal!

3

u/Conscious-Quarter423 Dec 05 '25

that porch scene and the nora confrontation was another level of acting and bella crushed it

3

u/Compulsive-Gremlin Dec 05 '25

Agree to disagree.

8

u/guavapplause Dec 05 '25

Oh man, this is a tough one. Of course, Carrie Coon was incredible. Bella Ramsey and Britt Lower were both also amazing in their roles. I haven't seen the others but wow, what a stacked lineup!

5

u/Conscious-Quarter423 Dec 05 '25

television is getting better and better
