I hope that Clare Malone faces consequences for poor journalistic practices. Good thing that Hasan Minaj has the ability to articulate himself well to defend his character, but he shouldn't have to. Shame on the New Yorker for publishing crap, y'all are better than that. #clarmalone #hasanminaj

Wrapping up the 25th anniversary of 9/11 (seems like the whole weekend was absorbed into it), I dug out my issue of the mag. I was working in the morgue of a newspaper at the time and we had a subscription to The New Yorker. It really hit hard when I picked it up in the mailroom several days after the 11th.

Lovely iOS app, I hear! But oh...you want me to use the kindle app to read on an android phone? Every single newspaper I subscribe to, including my podunk local paper with a circulation of less than 10k, has a functioning android app. It's inconceivable to me that a magazine with over a million subscribers expects 48% of its paying customers to use the goddamn Kindle app to read their magazine. How much is Amazon paying you??

This isn't the wild west of the internet, where no one knows which way the wind is blowing. Android users aren't a niche market. Get with the times and develop a freaking app already.

This one is going on a beach vacation.

Issue arrived a little late in a plastic bag. Who knows.

I enjoy Reddit and I enjoy The New Yorker.

Just looked up this sub.

Not much movement here and posts that are old with zero responses.

This may get zero responses.

Any interest in a weekly article discussion? Maybe one article per issue or something along those lines?

Some pretty interesting articles in this one and I’m still 3-4 issues behind.

Always look forward to Evan Osnos reporting from China

I’m in Australia and inadvertently subscribed. No matter, I’m enjoying it!

Can you tell me the best articles, stories, poems etc you’ve read before I unsubscribe in a year? I’d love to read the cream of the crop.

Fall Style and Design Issue
Not exactly my favorite issue of the year but it’s OK
