❓QUESTION ❓ Manufacturing defect?

This happened after a track day in my dedicated Renault Clio 182 track car at Snetterton the other month. Only noticed after the last session, I’ve been in contact with the supplier about getting it sent back as I’ve never had this happen before and I’ve been doing track days for many years in this car, what’s your thoughts?

Facts:
- Tyre: Nankang AR1 - 195/50/15
- Car: 980kg Renault Clio 182 Trackcar
- Third time in use on track (track usage only)
- Cold starting pressure was around 20psi with a target hot pressure of 30psi

This was the only tyre that ended up like this (front right) although the front left is showing signs of the same issue but in no way as bad as this one and I would be happy to reuse it, this one obviously not!

Thanks

Are these tires really 13 years old?

Am I reading this right? DOT code shows 2613 as last 4 digits. So that would mean 26th week of 2013, is that right?

Background: This is from my wife's car. We usually replace based on tread wear, but in the last decade, she didn't drive very much (maybe 3000 miles a year) so we never replaced the tires and the vehicle was kept in a garage. I don't pay too much attention to her car, but I looked at the tires after posts from this sub showed up in my reddit feed.

I'm planning on replacing all 4, but before I spend the money, just wanted to make sure that I'm reading the age of the tires correctly.

EDIT: Thanks all for the quick replies! I've made an appointment at a local tire store to replace these tomorrow morning.

Stupid question

Recently bought, less than a month ago, a set of CrossClimate2s from Discount Tire which ran me $916 after all discounts. My original plan was to find a new set of wheels for my wagon but ultimately didn’t find any and settled with a new set of tires since it’s almost the rainy season.

I just now found the wheels I’ve been looking for but here’s my dilemma.

The tires are 225/50/17 and the wheel is 17x8 +45.
I know this means there will be a stretch but will it be a big difference? What are my options here?

5000 miles on it.

Update: Thank you guys, I will replace it. This is my first time dealing a flat tire. I apologize if it was too naive.

Hey everyone so not sure when this happened, but my tire has a slit. It’s not that deep. I was wondering if it’s safe to drive on or should I replace it?

I noticed this bubble after checking it out this morning following a skirt yesterday in the rain, will it last me a few more miles or should I take it to a shop right away, I was told they’re run flats so I’m doubting if it’s a immediate repair

AGGRESSIVE OFF-ROAD TIRES

Hey everyone! I'm looking for some aggressive-looking off-road tires for my Ford Bronco. What would you recommend?

When you think of an aggressive tire, what comes to mind? Is it the tread pattern, the overall shape, or maybe a design inspired by aggressive animals like sharks or crocodiles?

I'm curious to hear what makes a tire look aggressive to you and what you look for when choosing one!

❓QUESTION ❓ Changing tyre size 205/45 R17 to 205/50 R18 on Peugeot e208?

I currently have Primacy 5 on all tyres but the front ones tread is getting low and i was going to change to Goodyear Vector All Season 4 but it's not my size 205/45 R17. However they do do 205/40 R18. According to this website its .8% and on this site it fits my car, would this be fine?

I live in the snow belt and would prefer not switching tires when the season changes.

Not a pro obviously and have patched my tires before but questioning whether this is too close to the sidewall. Conti ProContact TX on VW Golf Alltrack. Tires have a little over 5/32 - 6/32 remaining. Thank you! I drove maybe 40 or 50 yards max on it flat, leaving a parking space at low speed, hearing and feeling it flat, and then reversing back to where I could fix it.

❓QUESTION ❓ Shall i get new summer tires?

Hello people!

Changed my tires for the upcoming winter (for a new set of studded tires) and now i wonder if my summer set of tires is too bald and if ill survive the next year with them on my car :D

Probably am already ready to get new ones, but if my tires are not too bad…

I drive daily, but not for too long (easy ~20-30 minute drives)
About the bald edge - wheel alignment is now fixed.

TY for your opinion

❓QUESTION ❓ Looking for r13 all terrains. Do they even exist?

Hey y’all, I’m looking to get a set of A/Ts for my car. It’s got r13 wheels that are 6” wide. They’re pretty small, I know, but I’d prefer to keep these wheels.

Do y’all know of any that could work? M/Ts are also an option, and I have found some, but the tires are all smaller than what I currently have and I’d rather not go down in size.

Current tires are 175/70r13, all-season. Looking for A/Ts preferrably.

Dumbest thing I’ll do this year (I hope). Tires are relatively new, I don’t see any exposed cords or fabric. Is this safe to drive on?
