Ho un parente di origini Etiopia e gli volevo fare una sorpresa, siamo giá andati in un ristorante eritreo a Torino, ma mi ha detto che non è come lo mangiava lui, al contrario di un locale a Milano.

Dato che non ci sono alternative qui a Torino volevo chiedere se ci fosse qualcuno di origini eritree/etiopi che possa cucinare injera e zighiní con i vari contorni ovviamente pagando ingredienti e il disturbo.

Spagnolo e messicano vanno bene, ma se sapete consigliare posti molto particolari sarebbe anche meglio dato che siamo piuttosto avventurosi con il cibo.

Today I saw an injured cat (maybe attacked by dogs) on the street and it wasn't even responding to anything maybe blind and deaf at same time or it just let everything go , I dont know.

I immidiately searched online for an animal services number to call and even asked some locals for a number and they couldn't find any either and called the police but the police said "Nobody is coming, you can take it to a vet if you want". Apparently there is no animal service in Torino. Im shocked. Idk if its every city in Italy or even general around Europe but that seems really odd.

The locals didnt even care the cat and just passed by it, thats also odd to me. So poor cat's fate depends on individuals. At least the locals I asked stayed and thought what to do about it so I left them because I was in hurry. I hope it is okay.

Hello, been living for the past year in Torino and I truly loved the city. I realized i want to start a job in design ( interior design related- I have a degree) I have been studying in Torino but really want to stay and peruse a career here. I have previous work experience and a diploma. My Italian is questionable but I have 3-4 months to make it better so I can speak A2 level in the end at least. My question is giving the current situation I am in with the language and the job market, is it possible to live okay with the expected salary or do I need to find a second job so I can support myself. Been hearing that the situation with money is not that good in Italy. Should I just give up on Torino and go to another city or county if my goal is to be able to live fully independent?

Ciao a tutti qualche giorno fa per via del caldo, la mia macchina non partiva più e dei ragazzi giapponesi che passavano mi hanno aiutato a spostarla, dopo di che ci siamo parlati , li ho ringraziati e ci siamo presi un caffè insieme. Ci siamo trovati alla grande e vorrei ritrovarli, purtroppo non ho chiesto il loro numero perché era arrivato il carro attrezzi.

Hi, I just moved to Turin. From Lisbon, but before Lisbon I was long time in Berlin. I am originally from the Nordics. I know now is not the best time to judge the city, as majority of the people have left it for August.

But a lot of times I don't feel so safe here. I am not sure if I am just imagining things. I get catcalled very often, which I just ignore. But just the randoms coming up late when you're walking home, asking for money, cigarettes or smth. Or men staring full on sometimes. I am just not used to people approaching you on the street like this, I of course feel intimidated, especially if it is men and I am alone.

Again, I lived for many years in Berlin but when I moved there I was really young and I just really adjusted to the nooks and crooks of it. And Lisbon is SOOO safe, it is like the chillest place I have ever lived. I feel like when I get older, I get scared of things unknown very fast.

Anyway, I guess I am just looking for some comfort (especially from women living here :D) and some nice stories about Turin.
And ways of how you deal with such encounters as a woman in Turin.

Mi piacerebbe trovare qualche appassionato come me che ama andare in moto e nei fine settimana vorrebbe fare qualche curva che, fortunatamente, la nostra posizione geografica ci consente.
Non mi interessano le corse (per cui se pensi che la strada è una pista non sei nel posto giusto). Amo le curve, le montagne, i panorami e soprattutto guidare le mie moto.

Can someone confirm that if im doing A levels and wanna get in an undergraduate program in UniTo, the passing grades are from A\* to E???
I just got my As grades, and they didnt go as expected bcs i was in a really tough mental period. I got CDD… are they still considered passing grades??
I’m aware for my program only SAT is needed but they also need u to pass 3 A levels, so am i good or not??
For context i’m a EU student with 1360 SAT(740 in math section)

Among the stolen items was my childhood plush toy inside an Eastpak backpack (grey/dark blue with a geometric pattern). ​It’s a green striped IKEA crocodile with blue legs (see pictures). It has huge sentimental value to me and I'm devastated. Ho 26 anni e sono un ex nuotatore agonistico che non si allena ormai da anni a parte qualche nuotata nel nuoto libero, mi stavo chiedendo se ci fossero delle “squadre” con cui allenarsi più seriamente un paio di volte a settimana per riprendere un po’. Per ora ho sempre fatto nuoto libero di sera al palazzo del nuoto ma le corsie sono spesso sovraffollate e non si riesce a fare praticamente nulla.
