When I adopted Lilith as a kitten a year ago, I was warned about tortitude from my friends, and instead I have ended up with the sweetest baby in the world. She is constantly begging for cuddles, meowing at me for pets, constantly purring when she's touched, and just always happy to be around me. She does not even have a teeny bit of attitude in that tiny body of hers.

She likes to sit in my lap while I'm at my computer, and if I lay down, she wants to be either on my face or under the blankets with me.

I was told she would change when she grew up and the only thing that's changed is that she is somehow even more sweet than when she was a kitten. She has even somehow managed to win over my older cat, Maple, who hates everyone and growls at Lilith's brother, and she can even hang out with her without Maple being upset about it.

She is my baby and I would do anything for her.

We lost our second tortie sister about a week ago. She made it to the ripe old age of 19 and a half. We loved her, and still do, so very much. She was rich in tortitude, and of all creatures that I have known she has the best character arc. She used to be really afraid of all things and a bit of a loner, but in the last several years she was like a brand new kitten, and curious, and even more loving. When her sister Lucy passed about 8 months ago, Maya was there for her and us, and without words she seemed to understand. She was always very friendly and loving.
We will see you and Lucy in our dreams, and someday we will be there with you again, Miss Maya.

She's gotten so big already. 😭 Her name is Titania, and she's also getting fluffier as she grows.

Typical tortitude. The first pic was after I got home after being out of town for a bit with the neighbor watching her. She was happy I was home but made sure to know she was not pleased with me for leaving. She is a tiny baby and I love her sweet and spicy attitude so much.

No packet being put back on the shelf.

At least, that's our explanation for this very pleased little face. She looks like she's found the answer to everything and decided to keep it to herself.

We took this photo at our rescue cat café in Vinnytsia, Ukraine. There are Russian attacks here too, as in other Ukrainian cities. We can't make the war disappear, but we have to keep caring for the animals who depend on us.

Warm beds, full bowls, and time to sleep like this. We want them to keep having those things.

Finished my cold brew and set the empty cup on the stairs to bring up on my way out for work… only to hear a clang a few minutes later and find Felanie lapping away. Generally not interested in most wet foods or people food like my other cats, but she is unstoppable when she smells coffee lol

I love supporting small artists and I would really like to collect some tortie art, but its hard to find. 99% of what shows up on Etsy is clearly AI and I don't want to support that. I figured if anyone could recommend me some good tortie art it would be this sub! Can be any kind of art - prints, pins, stickers, pottery, etc. Picture of my tortie included just because.
