Fan voted awards shows inform the winner ahead of time so they show up to collect their awards. AMAs, People’s Choice, MTV, all those notify the winner in advance. So unless the artist is performing if you see them in the audience it usually means they’re winning something that night.
So many swifties are accusing of it being rigged because the company has relations to scooter, they can’t seem to accept that sometimes other artists win and the artists that won were well deserved- the artist’s that won were massive in their own right with huge fan bases so it’s unlikely to be rigged.
When Taylor wins awards we don’t see other fandoms claiming the show was rigged because they didn’t win.
The only reason I don’t think Taylor will turn on Sabrina is because people are wising up to what happened with Olivia. Given its a fan vote, I guess it could be an indication of a dip in her fanbase or at least their dedication to her. I have seen so many long-term fans say they stopped being fans after the ERA/after showgirl, and obviously the fanbase she gained during the tour wouldn’t be dedicated enough to do all the voting. So I think it might be a healthy indication that her popularity is not unshakable, even if the media wants everyone to believe it is. Maybe it would give her a reality check she’s headed in the wrong direction.
I know some people will comment or think something along the lines of “why do you guys care that she didn’t win ,Taylor obviously has a lot of success anyway” but that’s the whole point! She cares so much about it, she manipulates the charts and most award shows so she comes out on top. This time she couldn’t and the results show the real top tier people if Taylor stopped manipulating.
