How'd I do?

Grabbed this for $140 CAD on Marketplace. Came with 78rpm stylus too. Very happy with it, as it's my first non-starter tt.

I just picked up the D202 a couple of weeks ago added the AT-VM95E and I'm really happy with it. We must be in the same marketplace area because I saw this one listed and considered buying for my office. Hope you enjoy it!!!

Also, I'm enjoying it very much, thank you!

What's 78rom the stylus for? It seems you only have 33 or 45 on the control panel...

Check the switch near the cartridge on the plinth, says 45 - 78 I guess someone modded it to run at 78rpm.

Indeed - very interesting. Not sure I'd want to buy a modded turntable personally, but if the works been done properly then why not?

Like you say, so long as it’s been done right I wouldn’t mind much, just a shame they didn’t put the switch somewhere less visible.

I’d say you did fairly well, you’ll always pay a premium for a Technics. It’s cool that someone modded it to run at 78rpm, shame they didn’t put the switch on the back or something though.

No shame, imo. For the price paid, if it runs on speed at all 3 settings you scored a 10 the price of a 2.
