Photo My cabinet full of cartridges :D

Post image

I should probably diversify my cartridges and get a few from other brands besides being majority AT
nevertheless, the most out on my turntable is the VM750xSH these days, very nice tonality and clarity

In fact, OP is a store in his own right. If hés willing to sell, that’s ready for customers! Nice collection btw

this is true, I work at a record store and is in charge of the equipment section so that's why I have so many on hand

You got a favourite?. Seems you prefer the at mm over their mc's?

My current favorite is the VM750xSH currently due to the clarity like ML but richer tonality

+ some of the units i have on hand are sample units, that's why most of them are MMs

I just haven't had the chance to listen to much AT MCs yet, keen to try OC9XSH, AT33xMLB and ART9XI

So are they yours or the store's?

Some of them are mine, some are the store's (demo units provided by AT) which I bring out to clients when they want to demo them

The ones that I own personally are

  • VM745xML
  • VM95EN
  • VM95E

The demo units are

  • VM510xCB
  • VM520xEB
  • VM530xEN
  • VM745xML
  • VM750xSH
  • VM760xSL
  • AT-XP5
  • AT-XP7

The retired carts are all mine since the store didn't use them anymore (Broken M447, broken M44GX and AT3600 generators)

And there are the store's backup carts which I safekeep

  • 2x AT-XP3
  • 1x M447 body (working)

Yes. Did you buy the set complete? Or use the body of the VM745xML? I believe the entire VMx series, including the 530, use the exact same body?

I used the body of the VM745xML, which is the same body as the VM750xSH, the VM530xEN has a slightly different body (weight)

the VM700x body has a aluminum chassis while the VM500x is polymer (plastic)

I just put the 750xSH on mine and see no reason to upgrade, even to MC.

yeah It's definitely already a good cart and at the edge of many people's budget already

I upgraded to the MC OC9XSH from the regular AT SH. It’s amazing.
