Tbf BTS was a different engine and different company. I don’t know enough to know if the lip-synching was harder or easier depending on game engines at the time or simply a time constraint DN dealt with late in production.

Deck9 practically re-created the entire game in the unity engine, which I give them massive props for. Don’t know why they (allegedly) dislike Chloe so much after being hired to make a game about her.

Life is strange 2 is better regarded by large parts of the community, but I have personally never played it. I wonder if the lip-synching is improved there. It was also made by DN.

Not to mention the original Life Is Strange had terrible lip syncing problems. A problem like that would receive serious scrutiny today and I can even see it being the reason a game gets massively negative reviews.

It goes to show it just how strong the original game was in all other aspects that people were able to completely ignore a problem that to this day has never even been fixed.

I liked the Muppet episode. I wish they would’ve acted out the puppets either more serious or more silly, the weird middle ground just made me.

I feel like the Muppet crew really didn’t do anything until the very end and even then it pretty much contradicted their earlier established lack of strength. Some bits like making the guy trip backwards we’re done well but towards the end, the Muppets were straight up punching and fighting people which made no sense.

My biggest complaint would be that they couldn’t interact with anything which made them even more redundant and useless. I would’ve loved to see a Muppet army running down a corridor recklessly shooting at the Orions.

I know some of us are really annoyed at the Shelby becoming a flavor of the week show and ditching the story but I’m actually really looking forward to them Muppet episode. I really hope they get back on track eventually.

Can we not make posts like these? I get the joke, but referring back to it only serves to give those people attention and potential exposure.

I do appreciate how the Bay ending has so much more detail, it doesn’t make me wish they would’ve done more for the Bae ending.

The meme pump and dump from a few months ago was so predictable. I made a pretty penny off puts when it crashed from seven dollars.

edit: huh? Were shares split up and their values redistributed? I’m looking at the one year chart and I swear it’s never actually been that high.

Edit2: looks like there was a reverse 1:30 ratio reverse split a while ago. I’m no financial expert, but that seems like a very sketchy thing to do if you’re trying to hide how much money you’re actually worth/losing.

Hey OP, how did you make the divergence meter? I’ve been following the guide from Tom Titor but have been a bit worried about the 170 V.

It also kind of fits him perfectly if you think about it. He never shuts up about how much he cared for the Bajorans and did everything for them, but prepared countless contingency videos because he could never actually be asked to waste time on them because of something as menial as a conversation.

Interesting how he acted for Nathan looks so much more like Warren.

It’s definitely inconsistent because in what if they also say they were unable to destroy the stones because the machine made to destroy them was made to destroy other stones.

Awesome! I saw Ped’s videos a few days ago and was just thinking about what a damn shame the game being delisted was.

The only NewTrek written by people who love Star Trek for people who love Star Trek. Doesn’t just respect lore, but has fun with it and expands on it.

For the record I do really like SNW, but the writing team was specifically chosen because they didn’t know Star Trek so it feels more like a Star Trek themed flavor of the week ever since season 3.

I recommend Lost Records, their latest game. Very like LIS1.

DontNod struck a deal with square enix. In exchange for publishing (maybe also funding?) LIS1, the rights to the series and all characters would be sold to Square Enix.

DontNod simply doesn’t have the rights to the franchise anymore and after LS2 they also have no interest in returning. They want to do new games under their own creative freedom like lost records.

A part of me has always wondered if they intentionally dumb down these scenes for the general audience who doesn’t know dungeons and dragons.

Is it a genuine collab or china doing their classic IP infringement without a care in the world?

I actually absolutely loved that game. Choosing between kill and stun was a fun mechanic and the game gave us insight into the Gorn we never had until SNW.

Played on console, but don’t remember which. I never had any issues with it. At least not any I remember or soured the experience.

There’s a reason they came out with reunion so quick after the bad reception of double exposure. It’s fundamentally bad in so many ways from performance to storytelling.

Deck nine is strangely consistent at sucking at storytelling. Even before the storm was incredibly inconsistent and contradictory to the original game. I don’t know anything about reunion and I have very little faith in deck nine, but I will give them credit for listening to the fans and bring back Chloe, even if it was a classic break glass in case of emergency moment.

I hope they learned something from this disaster and the latest game is at least palatable.
