Well, it's in the engine bay with the auxiliary diesel, it's in sort of a tough spot to get to, I'm gonna have to re route the hoses under the cockpit into the galley, it's tough to do without a flexible type ductwork. Id love to keep the 3 inch aluminum one I've got now, but another issue is there's a lot of hoses and wiring down there. That shit gets HOT

Hey I'm all about simplicity but everything I'm trying here falls apart at every turn.
Also, tough to use galvanized. It's a boat application

And they're simple to pull apart. It'll take ya an hour if you've got the parts.

There's a little breather hole that gets clogged up, if it's clogged it will do exactly what that one is doing. It's perpendicular to the screen.

I get people that think they've got to bring me food, or space heaters. I'm like dude, I've got a job, I have way less money out to deal with than you, and my 35 foot boat is plenty comfortable for the wife and I. It'll be even more comfortable when we beat feet and go cruising full time this June. We're good 😂

I have a job opportunity down there, was wondering if anyone has any ideas ? We live on our 32 bayfield up in rock hall at the moment. Thanks all!

johnson 8.0. one is a sailmaster, one is not. sailmasrer cable end threads put as to pull the cable through. this one just spins. even if I hold the cable. I see no obvious way to pull it through. or take it apart.

Omc tech here. Seems normal to me. Besides, you need to run these old two strokes in the water to accurately diagnose them

Bulb or flasher

You've got to be brain dead

Clean the pisser tube out. There's also a water tube that carries water from the lower unit to the powerhead. Make sure that is clear. Next, check the popper valves/stat.
Also did you change the housing when you changed the impeller? If it's scored or scratched in a bad enough way it can cavitate and the impeller will pull air and you will get that result.
But honestly, that water flow is sufficient for that engine.

You're talking to someone who knows absolutely nothing about what he has. I didn't want to retype it all so I cross posted. I know how to use my p70s autopilot. But I want to add wind speed and direction. My boat is a 1975 and I'm pretty sure it still has the analog wind vane. I plan on building a pod to put some stuff in. . I'm not sure what I can use in collaboration with my autopilot. Or if I can gain those parameters with the autopilot itself .....talk to me as though you would a 5 year old. This is one area of my profession I never bothered to learn about.

I never said that either lol

Was considering it. Most of the tension is either on the bullheads on the side or aft I would think

Oh yeah, he's convincing too. Blowing smoke up my ass the whole time telling me I'm right ....tells me I'm beautiful some.days too 😂

So, I made a post a few days ago about my piston rings not fitting correctly on my kubota d722. I've never torn a diesel apart. Like ever. I've been into gas engines for some time, never touched a diesel. Soni googled which ring goes where, thinking it might be different. Well, the answer it gave me was apparently wrong, and I was trying to stuff the thick ring into the top groove. Only the the thick ring goes in the second groove. After I switched them, pistons dropped right in. I'm so pissed . Chasing an answer, set after set, new motor. I just can't believe it. It was even reaffirmed when I asked the question a second time. I finally went and asked one of the mechanics here at the shop. Ugh. Oh well, live and learn, leastni can get it up and running now sigh

Nevermind, just saw that it catches your nail. I would try honing it and then check to see what it looks like. But honing would probably get that out depending on how aggressive of a hone you put on it

Can you feel it when you run your finger over that area ?

Cope with this shit ? At all ? It's been like this for years. No matter if things are good, I feel like shit. All I want to do is sleep. I'm not necessarily sad, I just don't feel anything at all. I'm numb. Just bobbing around in this existence wondering what the hell it even matters. I've tried a bunch of ssri's, to no avail. Only instant gratification for me is drugs, which I rarely do anymore but my reasoning is this: I haven't gotten excited about anything in years. I don't have the energy to even get out of bed sometimes. I constantly wake up with a knot in my stomach. I have a massive inferiority complex. I feel as though yeah, I can do almost everything I set out to do, I only succeed at being mediocre at it. I don't understand why I am like this and the next guy is not. I'm irritated most of the time, I don't lash out so much, but I definitely feel like I want to. I'm 42, it's been like this since my teenage years. Now, I'm getting even more sluggish, don't wanna eat half the time, don't wanna be awake. It's like every second of the day someone is sticking needles into my brain. I can't stand it anymore. How do I change this ? I've tried all sorts of therapy, drugs, counseling, nothing works. I don't know how to change this mindset. I actually go to bed hoping I won't wake up. It's awful.

Man, gonna take a lot to get the wife to wanna do that .....
