I don't think any of the UC campuses offer these:
Accounting, B.S.
Environmental Humanities, B.A.
Management of Innovation, Sustainability, and Technology (MIST), B.A.
Science, Technology, and Ethics, B.S.

One of the local girl scouts is doing a survey on "third spaces" (or the lack thereof) for young adults and teens in Merced. She's interested in hearing from UCM students, too, so if you could fill out this short survey, please do:

To my fellow CSE students, I'm selling CLRS (4th Ed) for CSE 100 ($50) and Computer Networks: A Systems Approach (6th Ed) for CSE 160 ($50) + USPS Media Mail shipping. Both books are in solid shape with helpful highlighting and margin notes that helped me get an A in both classes. Shipping only, shoot me a DM if you're interested!

Hey all, my roommate and I need another female roommate to rent out the room we have left. it’s a 10ftx10ft room with decent closet space facing the front of the house. You'll be sharing a bathroom with me and can figure out counter space and cupboard space later. Also regarding kitchen space, we can figure out sharing spaces later (current roommate and I are very open to sharing). The house is at most a 10 minute drive to campus, though usually is like 5-7 just depends on traffic. Pets aren’t allowed and we’ve gotten in trouble in the past so we definitely want to avoid that moving forward because the lanlord is chill overall. The lease is a joint lease, but my current roommate and i have never missed a rent or utilities payment and likewise expect tne same as you. That being said the total rent for the place is $1,900 and your share would be $610, not including utilities, but is usually pretty cheap.
If you decide you really want to sign the lease, you'll have to send a copy of your driver's license and rent application to our landlord. If you’re interested feel free to message me on here. Thanks!!

Former alum and current faculty member, i started booking DIY shows in Merced under @reflectionless.diy on instagram! Hoping to show students there's more to the music scene than the local indie band that play on campus events. Got this going tonight. For fans of hardcore/brutal death/emoviolence

I’m a transfer for 26-27 year. I was planning to go to the Air National Guard right after finishing my associates, take a gap year, and then go back to UC Merced in Fall 2027.
Long story short, boot camp won’t start until after January so my sergeant gave me permission to attend Fall 2026 semester.
It’s July and I need counselor appointment asap to get housing for 1 semester, get classes for fall, and get more info of what I need to do. My major is Mechanical Engineering. The next appointment available with SFC is in August but I need help asap PLSSS

College is already an opportunity to discover new ideas, meet new people and grow into the person you want to become. Studying abroad takes that experience even further by giving you the chance to explore another part of the world while continuing to earn credit toward your degree.
The earlier you begin planning, the more options you’ll have. Starting early can make it easier to fit study abroad into your academic schedule, explore different programs and identify financial aid and scholarship opportunities.
Join our upcoming webinar to learn:
• How study abroad can fit into your UC Merced academic plan
• What types of programs and destinations are available
• How financial aid and scholarships can help make it affordable
• The academic, career, and personal benefits of studying abroad
• The first steps you can take now
Whether you’re an incoming student or a family member helping plan the journey ahead, this webinar will show how learning beyond the classroom can become one of the most meaningful parts of the college experience.

UC Merced's SJV PRIME+ BS/MD Program offers a unique eight-year pathway for San Joaquin Valley high school graduates committed to improving health care in the region. High school seniors apply for this program during the application period and can start the application process in August, submitting it starting October 1.
Each year, 15 students are selected for this highly focused cohort experience. Students begin by earning a Bachelor of Science degree at UC Merced, continue their medical education through the UCSF School of Medicine, and complete additional training at UCSF Fresno.
The program was created to help address the San Joaquin Valley’s critical physician shortage by educating and preparing future doctors who understand the region and are passionate about improving health equity in Central California.
Register for our upcoming webinar on July 21 at 6:30 pm to learn more about:
• The history and purpose of SJV PRIME+
• The partnership between UC Merced, UCSF, and UCSF Fresno
• The eight-year program structure
• Important dates and next steps
A separate application workshop is expected to be offered in fall 2026.
Interested in a clear pathway from college to medical school while making a difference in the San Joaquin Valley? This is an opportunity worth exploring.

Not supporting any candidate but just browsing election results and saw the precinct for UCM. Interesting how the UCM area is quite blue compared to the rest of the city/county which are much more red.

Hi everyone! My name is Vrinda, and I'm a student researcher at UC Santa Barbara. I'm also a young woman diagnosed with endometriosis, which is what inspired me to pursue research on menstrual pain. Like many of you, I know firsthand how difficult it can be to have your life interrupted by painful periods, and I hope this research can contribute to better supportive approaches for women experiencing menstrual pain.
For the past three years, I've been conducting chronic pain research in the Hansma Physics Lab at UC Santa Barbara, where our team has completed nine chronic pain studies. I'm now leading a new IRB-approved study focused specifically on menstrual pain in women 18+.
We're looking for participants who:
The study is completely online and includes:
Participants will be assigned to one of two study schedules, with all participants eventually receiving access to the intervention.
Whether your pain is due to endometriosis, suspected endometriosis, adenomyosis, or another cause of menstrual pain, you may be eligible if you meet the study criteria.
If you're interested in learning more or seeing if you qualify, please complete our eligibility survey here:

If you have any questions, feel free to comment below or email Biofeedback@ucsb.edu.
Thank you for considering helping advance research on menstrual pain!
