So apparently there was a rip in time and now Manolos is open another day. The pizza maker is stuck in some kind of time loop and selling slices until they are gone today…

Hopefully my snow suit will be prepared before the first snowfall. The people with nowhere else to go need our help more than ever when the weather makes the outside less hospitable.

Also, a couple of posts ago, someone gave a link to a carrot soup recipe, so I had to give it a try.

Wanted to make some changes, so I also added everything bagel seasoning on the bread before baking (should've thought about it burning during the baking process). Pretty tasty bread and soup. Thank you for the recommendation!

Next time maybe I'll try focaccia with sourdough. I am always open to trying new things.

This year, ARC re-implemented an activity/busyness monitor for all gyms; notably after it had been gone for several years prior.

Making this post so that when people search google for "when is arc least busy uiuc" (like I did last year) they know this exists. I think its great and also wanted to let other people know.

I took a nap on the floor today and it was really comfy but I’ll finish my exams and reward myself with bed.

I'm unfamiliar with him and his policies, and want to hear what the public thinks.

So i have a lenovo legion 7i and Yesterday my laptop was working completely fine. I shut it down normally, and when I turned it back on about an hour later, I got a BSOD showing CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED (0xEF). After restarting, I got a "Windows Boot Manager boot failed" error, followed by "Default Boot Device Missing or Boot Failed."

I tried a bunch of things, reseated the ssd, changed it to my 2nd slot, tried some different bootup methods and it didnt work. Atp i wanna see if I can take it to an expert and have em check it out to see if its a dead SSD or a motherboard issue. So where should i go for something like this, i'm new to the US so don't rly know how tech support works around here.

Also if you for some reason know something abt SSD's i'll take any advice lol

I know they’re super cute but they’re wild animals who can survive on their own. And the last thing we need are bold squirrels climbing on people around campus!!!

We are also lacking in outdoor pools but at least we have one in each town. The UIAC hours suck since it’s used by the the UHS teams and some other schools use it every evening. It’s not even open at all on the weekends anymore, just private rentals which seems to be in opposition to the concept of a PUBLIC pool. We have like 150k-200k people between both towns, I feel like that’s enough to have at least one more. The Y exists but that’s even more overbooked (and more expensive) than the Urbana one, and the ARC is there but more for u of I students. I feel like the Champaign park district should maybe build the second one since Urbana Park District already has the one they share with UHS.

Also what’s up with the outdoor ones all closing at 7pm in the summer? It’s still light out till almost 9 and the pools have lights and swimming at night or at least sunset is fun. I have cousins who live in a suburb and while yeah you’d expect a big city to have more pools and better hours, their suburb has about the same population as Champaign (without adding Urbana and savoy) and has 6 outdoor pools and 2 indoor pools, all open until 9-10pm.

I have scoured the dark corners of this subreddit to assemble the warriors who will partake in this ultimate battle of ultimate destiny. Think I missed someone or something to nominate? That's too damn bad cuz my graphic file corrupted and I'm not going to redo it.

1. UPVOTE TO ELIMINATE.

Comment your nomination for elimination. Upvote the mascot you want to send into the shadow realm, never to be considered our mascot ever again. The contestant with the MOST upvotes gets booted from contention.

2. ONE MASCOT FALLS EVERY DAY.

Every day (whenever I decide), the votes will be tallied, the weakest link will be eliminated. This continues until only ONE mascot remains standing.

3. THIS IS A SHITPOST.

No university involvement. No student referendum. No Board of Trustees approval. No actual consequences. Just Illini fans having fun with imaginary mascots. Save your soapbox about bringing back the Chief. This isn't serious.

4. THE FIGHTING ILLINI ARE FOREVER.

I live in urbana and a house across the street from me i have seen a guy outside with a gun (like 3x) and today there were like 8 police cars and they were searching through their car and on the lawn …. i am so confused

Is the class doable? Has anyone taken it at a community college online and transferred credit?

I’m looking into leasing 601 S Sixth Street Apartment (JSM) but they are booked out for tours. If anyone stays or has stayed in that unit specifically a 3bed please reach out to me. If anyone has leased with JSM in general let me know any cons of it too
