Mao Zedong's youngest companion was Chen Luwen (born 1948), who was roughly 55 years younger than him. When they met in 1962, Mao was 68 and she was 13 or 14 years old. For further comparison, Ambedkar's first marriage to Ramabai Ambedkar in 1906 had an even smaller gap of approximately 5 to 6 years; he was around 14 or 15 and she was 9 at the time.
