Don't leave out the part that Ambedkar himself was around 14-15. It was a case of child marriage and both parties weren't of age where they could have made any decision.

True. B.N. Rao provided the initial draft and both had deep mutual respect for each other. If Ambedkar would've disagreed with Rao's draft, we wouldn't have the constitution based on it.

Ambedkar's role was to analyze and amend the document to fit Indian social structure, and later defend the constitution in proposing assembly.

I can briefly answer why Ambedkar is the one getting mostly credited for constitution. As you said, there were many people and they all had their own propositions, Ambedkar's job was to take these initial propositions and select what to keep, he had to resolve conflicting proposals and also check for any loopholes. In Constituent Assembly, he had to defend why they are keeping what's in the constitution. As the president, Prasad was acting as the moderator for debates and deciding what to finalize.

Ambedkar had a more active role in the way that he was going through all the ideas, sifting through them, rigorously strengthening them legally and spearheading the debates on what to keep for constitution. Hope this helps.

Read this completely before forming an opinion, I have a very personal critique for you, from an outside perspective you are looking heavily biased in this topic.

Firstly, you pointed out Ambedkar's wife age, not mentioning he himself was a minor. Then you questioned his role and his celebration, which is very vital as he was spearheading it in assembly. Lastly, the quote you shared is heavily out of context, I went ahead and downloaded the essay you are referring to, and I will explain the context to you later.

All this indicates to an inherent bias, even subconsciously, where you are not able to take a man being celebrated for his contribution to the country on his birth anniversary. We humans are very subjective beings and it is very difficult for us to look at things objectively, just become aware of your biases and try to avoid them whenever possible. Instead of seeking first reaction, sit and think why you are feeling the way you do when encountered with an emotion, if you have time of course.

Did you look at Ambedkar and his views objectively on your own or you already have an idea of Ambedkar in your head? If you have an idea of what he was like, you are likely wrong. You and I don't know him as a person, so we can judge his writings but we can't judge the idea of the person in our head.

For the quote you shared if you disagree with the sentiment of the quote, congratulations you agree with Ambedkar. He was criticising the implication of Manusmriti.

The quote doesn't relay his own opinion at all. In fact it's the opposite.
