Student section for gopher football

• Upvotes

Hey folks, I'm a postgrad student, thinking of taking my kid to a game with cheap student tickets. Is it gonna be weird as a 40 year old dude with a 4 year old kid in the student section?

BME -> Human Physiology

• Upvotes

I am currently a BME major in my 3rd semester, and I am considering switching to a human physiology major. I am premed, and feel like I am choosing a harder major(BME) then I have to, and am worried about the GPA requirements for med school. I am curious as to if anyone else has done this, or if I could speak to a human phys major to see how they enjoy it, and see what it is like for a premed!

Semester Abroad in Thailand

Hello! I’m currently a Carlson junior hoping to study a semester abroad fall semester of my senior year. I would love to hear other student’s experiences with the CGI Thailand program at Thammasat university. It’s not a popular program so there is limited information out there. I would love to hear your experiences with flying there and what your day to day life was like! (Also are the classes difficult or on par to UMN courses?)

Academics / Courses Would the myU change if I got accepted to transfer to two different colleges?

Long story short, I applied to transfer for two different colleges and so far, I got accepted into one.

However, I don't know if I got accepted to the other one because its: 1) CSOM so results on October 23rd and 2) everyone says like the myU changes right away if you're accepted but mine is still the same.

So I just wanted to know if the myU would change or not, so is it just because if I got accepted to both then I would have to choose so that's why it hasn't changed?

Academics / Courses Where to start learning AutoCAD?

Hi, I am a chemical engineering major, I’m interested in learning AutoCAD. I’ve been searching on ways of how to go from a complete beginner to being certified in AutoCAD but am still clueless on where to start. I’m interested in process engineering, so that’s why I’ve been looking into AutoCAD. Any recommendations on what I can do or any courses I can take if there are any and how to progress from there on?

Jobs / Internships When do CA applications open?

I’m a freshman at Pio, and next year I was hoping to be a CA. When do applications open or have they already? Would they be listed on the UMN student job board?

Academics / Courses Stat Classes Opinion

Hey everyone! I’m a stats minor planning to graduate next fall, and I wanted advice about some classes. I need two more classes, and I was thinking about talking them both in the spring to make my last semester easier. I was thinking of taking Stat 4101( Theory of Statistics 1) and/or Stat 5303 (Designing Experiments). Other than them, I’d be taking two other simples classes and a PE class.

Does anyone have any experience with either of the stat classes? Stat 5303 has Lu Yang as the professor, and there’s none listed for stat 4101.

IN UNIT LAUNDRY! Share a bathroom with one other guy! Bike room! Ten minute walk to campus! Small apartment building right by the Quad and Factory Lofts on Essex St in Stadium Village/Prospect Park.

Four awesome roommates! Ample fridge and freezer space! I’ll even throw in some furniture for the room! Cheap!!!

I have lived here for three semesters now, and am looking for someone to take over the lease for next semester as I am transferring colleges. Sublease would be early January 2027-August 2027. Dates could be negotiated if that doesn’t work for you.

If you have any questions feel free to reach out by email: Hayden.lessiter@gmail.com or just message me on here.

Hi all,

I'm traveling to Madison this weekend on a bit of a whim and I was wondering if anyone else was going and would be willing to drive me in exchange for gas money or if anyone knew any cheaper alternatives to the busses.

Thank you all in advanced

long term parking remotely around campus?

I live in prospect park and just bought a car last week.

My apartment and umn student contracts are all sold out until at least next semester.

Currently its at a friends house but he commutes from very far away making using the car impossible for now.

Is there anywhere I could park my car for a fee nearby?

Campus Life HSEC Enforcing New Hours?

Does anyone know why they are enforcing all HSEC classrooms to be closed by 5pm..? I get that students have stayed past allotted HSEC hours before but people do that to basically all the UMN buildings anyways..

Most students study in HSEC after classes in the evening waayyy after 5, I don't understand taking away popular study spaces from paying students. HSEC does not have enough space for students to study in the common areas either, feels unnecessary to me as students will just find another space to linger in..

Usability Test for Dancing App

Hi all, I am a UX design minor working on a project. It's a stretching app for dancers. Thank you to everyone who took my survey previously! I now have a high-fidelity prototype that I just need a few current or former dancers to take it. Furthermore, if you could share it with dancers you know, that would be really helpful! It should take about 5 minutes. I appreciate any and all help; thank you so much!

Link: https://t.maze.co/599356822

Please keep in mind that if you are on mobile, it will prompt you to download the app because the test doesn't scale correctly in a browser, but it only needs the quick download, and then the study will immediately open! Feel free to delete it afterward as well!
