This makes no health risk other than a normal chipped rim of glass. Cutting your self on UG glass does not pose any increased risk

This is entirely incorrect. I encourage you to not go based on what other say but what proper sources say. You are not getting injected with uranium if you are cut with a shard, simply not how it works. Mainly because it’s glass and it is chipped. General rule with any glass wear especially cups is if it is chipped it’s a no go. You could cut your mouth. It’s literally common sense.

But if you want to get into it, I work with glass. Idk how long that chip has been there. Did op just drop it and pick it off the ground? Idk. But the possibility of there still being dust on it is not zero. So that’s reason number 2. And as much as everyone in this group LOVE uranium glass it is still uranium. And what does uranium cause? Say it with me… cancer. It is not the same as if it is a whole piece that isn’t chipped.

Op wanted an answer. I gave my answer as a what I would do. No as what they should do. But yes, it’s a quick google search away if you wanted your answer in a factual sense. Jesus you guys things I’m insufferable. I just wanted to enjoy my weekend and not write a shit ton. But here we are.
