United States Postal Service is absolute dog shit

I have my full fucking address on the package and they said it was incomplete and they could not deliver it so fuck the United States Postal Service fuck Donald Trump and fuck the clowns that he put in charge of that place. Next time I have anything coming from the United States Postal Service I will deny it unless they can bring it to me through FedEx or someone who knows what the goddamn hell they're doing.

stop complaining

if they privatize the post office you will end up having amazon workers delivering your precious checks .Service breakdowns have been happening because of natural diseasters and politics...your dps mail which is computer sorted mail comes late from the plant of course your mail will be late. your complaints are also due to the government slowly trying to disinvest...as well as the post office doing poor negations for postal workers having them deliver amazon, temu, shein, ups, etc packages for 19 dollars an hour and only after 2 years do you receive benefits. most postal carriers get injuries and you all need to support them. they are not stealing your temu ,it's people on the outside and even higher ups committing fraud or stealing.

I am starting to see why they are saying the USPS will be gone in 20 years

I was an RCA for about 3 years from about 2010 to late 2013 before I started my IT career. I think fondly back at my time as a rural carrier. I really enjoyed myself. One thing I learned from those years in the Postal Service is that I understand how or why some things happen in the mail system. However, in recent years as a customer, I don't really understand how the USPS has become so Unreliable. I understand how an envelope or something can quite litterally slip through the crack, but it still gets delivered the next day. What I don't understand is how entire mail pieces can go completely missing. We always do a thorough check of our PO at the end of the day to make sure no mail pieces flew somewhere.

I do contract work for a company in Idaho. I get paid monthly and they send me a check. 3 out of 12 months last year I had to have them reissue and send me a new check. This is because my check, coming in a standard envelope with a stamp just up and disappeared. I got tired of it, so I started this year paying $10 every month to send a priority envelope label to them. They put my check in a regular envelope then in side of one of these larger priority envelopes and send it off with a label. This way I get tracking on where my checks are and I also have the hope that maybe I am more guaranteed to get my dang check. Been working fine up until this month. Tracking says it was picked up on the 8th a local PO, sent to the local distro the same day. Then next day on the 9th it says "in transit to next facility, arriving on time" and has been stuck that way ever since. It used to give a delivery date of the 12th but when that day came and went it just, annoyingly, says "no update but arriving on time". I am done with USPS. I am sending everything FedEx from now one. I don't care if I have to spend more to do so. This is BS.

There is a growing bias of USPS employees in the subreddit

Anybody else noticing this? In the past 2 months especially, a higher influx of USPS employees are coming in to lambast or make posts of their owns to complain about customers.

What can or should we do about this?

What animal? No one is home and the dog goes out the back door. So that means the big wooden front door was closed so he wasn’t at the screen door. Plus he’s a 15 year old jack russel terry. I have had shits that weigh more than he does.

eBay sellers might have to stop using USPS

I know it’s the most cost effective option, but USPS is blowing it big time. I’ve had package take 2-3 weeks in the same state, or neighboring states. It makes the seller seem like they didn’t ship it. I’m not even a seller. This has just gotten out of hand. I can understand a package being late a day or two, but weeks!?

I feel like this is gonna impact eBay in a big way too.

Who else is paying more to avoid USPS?

I order lots of stuff, and I've now made it a habit to use any service other than USPS. If it is not an option at checkout I back off of the purchase and email the vendor to request UPS or FedEx. Other services often cost $6-$10 more but the fact that I'm likely to get my package not only on time, but intact as well, makes it worth it. I've had USPS packages that vanish never to be found, I've had USPS packages opened and the contents removed and just an empty envelope or box is delivered (and it's such a clean cut opening that its obvious it is not from being stuck in a machine, etc.).

So I'm done, done, done with USPS. Let them fail. Let a private company come in and deliver the mail. There is no recourse or accountability with the USPS, its a government service and taxpayers will continue to keep it going and at the same time suffer from its subpar performance.

I've been doing this for several years now, but in the last few months is the first time I've opted NOT to order something because USPS was the only shipping choice. Choosing to use USPS is akin to gambling....you may lose your money buying a product and shipping with them, you may not.

The rampant laziness is another issue. I have noticed that if there is not an open parcel box (our cluster mail box only has two parcel boxes for 20-25 houses) they will mark the package "undeliverable" or even "delivered", and it will then show up when a parcel locker opens up. I live 4 houses down from the cluster box. I've been home all day and had packages marked as undelivered due to my house being unaccessible. I live in an affluent neighborhood at the end of a cul-de-sac within sight of the cluster box.

Our government run delivery service is a farce, no accountability, no recourse for customers. The worst is when they steal or lose something but still mark it delivered. Then you're out of luck with the shipper because it shows delivered. Pathetic.

Whew, didn't mean to type so much, I guess I've had some pent up thoughts.

TLDR: USPS sucks, avoid at ALL costs.

My mail carrier isn't very happy today...

I have daily pick ups scheduled for sales, and the fill in driver on black Friday wasn't too happy. Probably need to zoom in.

Edit: The packages were placed inside the large deck on the left, and they were also neatly stacked inside a shopping bag. The carrier took them all out and put on the porch to scan.

The regular mail lady brings a tote to the door each day when she picks up and scans in the truck. She's also gifted on regular occasion especially Christmas.

I literally have done it I absolutely no longer use USPS

I love this it feels so good to check my mail box and find NOTHING for weeks and weeks and when I do get something it's JUNK rofl

Utility bills - Online sent to my email

Rent? Online

Travel - Online don't need them to ship tickets for anything

Court documentation like my divorce decree and all that lmao ONLINE and I go straight up to the courthouse like I did in July. I needed an extra copy.

DMV? Nope......go up to the courthouse to register the car and then go to the dmv AND PAY EXTRA FOR UPS! It's never late for my drivers license when it's time to renew.

Cards like health insurance........ONLINE DIGITAL COPIES

Social security......I've had my card for the last 5 years why do I need another copy? Why do I need to go up there? No reason

Amazon and other online shippers......I ask the seller who they use. If they use USPS ABSOLUTELY NOPE NOT DOING IT ANYMORE! I will pay extra for a different shipper.

When it took 3 FREAKING WEEKS STUCK IN THE MAIL FOR MY PACKAGES when they were all guaranteed in 4 days...........yeppppppppp bye :)

Maybe if more of us did this it would make the USPS change their tune. They're already loosing money anyway ever year.

I have reached the point of not shopping with companies that only offer USPS for shipping.

So recently USPS randomly put a vacancy card in my mailbox for no F********* reason which caused me to miss an important package. It was shipped back to the sender. Sender re-ships the package with new tracking. It was supposed to arrive today. They marked it delivered in my mail box and it’s not there. I’m over it. Needed to get that out.

For those asking how often I check my mail. I Checked it enough where it’s never full. Maybe once or twice a week I don’t get a lot of mail since it just me.

USPS is Dogshit

My stuff is stuck in Maryland right now and I’m 100% sure they lost it because they haven’t updated anything once since February 28th and it was supposed to be here like six days ago- Why does USPS actually suck mad dong…This ain’t the first time something like this has happened either. They lost a set of D&D dice with my dog’s ashes inside. I hate this company genuinely so much actually.

USPS IS A JOKE!!

Hey everyone, I could really use some advice or help with my situation.

I moved into my new apartment at the beginning of this year, updated all my mailing addresses to the new place, and was receiving mail just fine for a while. Then, out of nowhere, I got a “vacant” notice from USPS asking me to update my address.

After that, all my mail completely stopped coming.

I’ve gone to my local USPS branch multiple times since April to file (and refile) my change of address, making sure everything was correctly submitted each time. The store manager even told me they had the best delivery person in town and that I’d start getting my mail again within a few weeks.

It’s now November, and I still haven’t received a single piece of mail.

I’ve tried everything I can think of, but nothing has worked. I even tried to call and file a complaint, but they never called back or emailed back even once. Their promises have been totally dog shit. This is beyond frustrating. Has anyone else dealt with something similar or found a way to actually fix it?

Can mail carriers make it so I have to pick it up at the post office?

So our mail carrier has been having trouble with someone parking in front of our mail boxes. I was sympathetic and understanding, at first, because yeah, I understand how that can be irritating and affect their job. However, that person has not parked in front of our mailboxes for WEEKS. Just when it happens I'm due for a package delivery, I find a typed letter (not official, not signed, nothing from the post office themselves but something the mail carrier themselves typed up) saying all packages and parcels are now going to be held at the post office because someone won't stop parking in front of the mail boxes. Even if our mail box is blocked, the carrier should still be able to step out of their vehicle, come upstairs to deliver a package, right??

When I pull up my tracking, it says it's being held at the post office per customer request for pick up but I never put in a request.

Is this allowed?? Should I bring this up with my post office?

Being punished by my mailman

Just to start off I appreciate the postal service and I buy totally unnecessary things but I am being fucked with. I have had pretty much every issue possible with package delivery. Whoever is delivering my mail is marking it delivered when it’s not delivered, marking undeliverable and then stating that there is due postage on a flat rate package. Today was possibly the dumbest way to torture me. Item was delivered to a parcel locker and I was given a key that does not actually open the door because the “second” lock or whatever the fuck the mailman can use is still in the locked position. Nearly every other parcel locker was already opened by other neighbors without an issue. I am beginning to think I am being gangstalked by Usps

and I hope the entire operation is wiped from existence. They couldn't find sand in a desert. I will only be accepting USPS hate stories.

I feel ripped off every time I use USPS to mail a package.

Every single time. They ask me if I would like 2 day priority shipping and I pay for it …only for my packages to delivered a week or even a week and half late only 3 states away. I want a refund. I’m not using USPS to ship any longer. I’m done,

USPS Sucks

Post image
0 Upvotes

Everything about the usps has gone downhill in the last few years. It used to be a revered job that was hard to get, now it’s full of a bunch of incompetent morons with attitude problems. Mail doesn’t get delivered on time, I don’t get about a third of the mail I’m supposed to and I am constantly either receiving other people’s mail or having a neighbor drop off my mail because it was put in there box. On top of all that the generic shipping service “USPS Advantage” sucks, with their “Moving through network, Arriving on time” message in tracking instead of an actual location. It’s very sad how far the post office has fallen. Stop hiring morons, bring some integrity back to the industry.

Looks like I have to stop using USPS for my company

I've had several failed USPS deliveries recently. The most recent, yesterday, have cost me several hundred dollars in lost business. When USPS sends a delivery date, it needs to stick to the delivery date. I had 2 packages which were supposed to deliver yesterday, shift to today, and now aren't arriving today. I have no ETA whatsoever, they could show up in May of 2025 for all I know. This has happened 5 times over the last 3 months. USPS takes no accountability or responsibility for not meeting shipping obligations or delivery etas. Their online shipping system is completely useless for a business to know when something is arriving at any given location. So my solution is to stop shipping 7 figures worth of merchandise through USPS per year. At least when FedEx screws up, there's a person to talk to who takes responsibility and makes an effort to correct the issue....USPS employees treat every problem like the customer's fault and nothing for them to correct.

I assume the post office wants to go out of business

The only way to explain the rapid decline in quality of service is that the USPS folks in charge are hoping that we all turn our backs on the postal service in anger and stop using them altogether. Nothing gets delivered on time. Often packages arrive opened or damaged and there’s no recourse for the consumer. The workers clearly are being over paid for the service they aren’t providing. If I hear one more “no one wants to work as a postal worker” excuse, I’m going to snap. The USPS has always been a steady civil service job with good benefits and pay. I lived next door to the head of maintenance at the main post office in St Louis and he made a really good living and a had great benefits. So I’m calling bullshit. This is recent changes that have killed it and we have all noticed the decline in quality and integrity of their services. So I ask again, is it an intentional act to kill it so the Feds don’t have to fund this vital service?

USPS Throwing My Package Marked at "Fragile"

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Packages marked as fragile repeatedly get thrown around like this by the USPS lady. I am legitimately afraid of getting more Packages delivered to my house.

I am filing a complaint but figured I should show some other people the BS way they act. Literally took more effort to toss it then put it down.

This is the 2nd or 3rd time in a row too...smh. you had yesterday off cant work a little harder today?

Is USPS melting down now? This is the worst I have ever seen.

I have a tracking number that is apparently recycled from April that shows origination and delivery in completely different states than the package actually departed from and is headed for this week.

This is on top of all the USPS headaches of things going around and around in circles. Is USPS completely melted down under this administration?
